One piece of PBS’s coverage of the last night of the Democratic National Convention unwittingly confirmed media labeling bias on PBS and other “mainstream “outlets. First, Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart hailed the Democrat’s vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz for using the supposedly less frightening and more convincing term “gun safety legislation” instead of “gun violence laws” (a term the PBS News Hour also uses). Anchor Geoff Bennett expanded that "language" argument to encompass abortion. Anchor Geoff Bennett, 9:50 p.m. (ET): We have seen Democrats do that on abortion, talking less about abortion rights and more about reproductive freedom. To what...

Former Gov. Larry Hogan (R-MD) and Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks are locked in a dead heat in the U.S. Senate race in Maryland, where Democrats have held both Senate seats for nearly 40 years. The AARP poll, which Fabrizio Ward (R) and Impact Research (D) jointly conducted, finds Hogan and Alsobrooks tied at 46 percent apiece in the Old Line State. Another seven percent of the 600 likely voters are undecided, while one percent will back another candidate. 📊 MARYLAND poll by Fabrizio Ward (R) & Impact Research (D) for @AARP President Harris: 64% Trump: 32% — Senate...

The Biden-Harris administration has deployed a little-known hiring mechanism to staff key divisions of the Department of Justice (DOJ) ahead of the 2024 election, according to documents provided to the Daily Caller News Foundation by Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT). Hundreds of people, primarily lawyers and judges, have been appointed to the Environmental and Natural Resources (ENRD) and Antitrust and Immigration Review divisions of the DOJ using its “Schedule A” hiring authority since President Joe Biden took office, documents shared with the DCNF by PPT show. Schedule A hiring does not require appointments to be made on the basis of...

Meet Rebecca Lavrenz, also known as the ‘Praying Grandma’ - she was just sentenced to 6 months of house arrest today after peacefully entering the Capitol on J6 and saying a prayer. She left about 10 minutes after being inside. They also gave her a fine of $103,000. This is what the weaponization of our justice system looks like. I am disgusted.

I have reached an agreement with the Radical Left Democrats for a Debate with Comrade Kamala Harris. It will be Broadcast Live on ABC FAKE NEWS, by far the nastiest and most unfair newscaster in the business, on Tuesday, September 10th, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Rules will be the same as the last CNN Debate, which seemed to work out well for everyone except, perhaps, Crooked Joe Biden. The Debate will be “stand up,” and Candidates cannot bring notes, or “cheat sheets.” We have also been given assurance by ABC that this will be a “fair and equitable” Debate, and...

Explanation: What if Saturn disappeared? Sometimes, it does. It doesn't really go away, though, it just disappears from view when our Moon moves in front. Such a Saturnian eclipse, more formally called an occultation, was visible along a long swath of Earth -- from Peru, across the Atlantic Ocean, to Italy -- only a few days ago. The featured color image is a digital fusion of the clearest images captured during the event and rebalanced for color and relative brightness between the relatively dim Saturn and the comparatively bright Moon. Saturn and the comparative bright Moon. The exposures were all...

Axois is claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris supports former President Donald Trump’s border wall because she backs the Senate’s border bill that requires agency officials to spend border wall funds appropriated under Trump. An Axios headline makes the claim, “Harris flip-flops on building the border wall” even though the article includes no quotes or statements from Harris or her campaign. Her campaign pushed back, telling Axios: Harris advisers note that the bipartisan border proposal didn’t include any new money to continue building the wall. It just extended the timeline to spend funds that had been appropriated during Trump’s last...

Bill Belichick didn’t sugarcoat anything when he discussed the Massachusetts’ state income tax and the challenge it imposes on the Patriots signing free agents. The 72-year-old Belichick — who parted ways with the Patriots after 24 seasons and six Super Bowl titles in January — recalled negotiations being difficult in Foxboro due to state’s four percent surtax on taxable income more than $1 million, which was implemented in 2022. “That’s Taxachusetts,” Belichick said during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday, which drew laughs from Pat McAfee and his co-host AJ Hawk. “Virtually every player, even the practice...

Green Party presidential nominee Dr. Jill Stein and Libertarian Party nominee Chase Oliver were blocked from appearing on the Illinois ballot by the Illinois State Board of Elections on Friday. Both candidates reportedly failed to submit the required minimum number of signatures. A list of candidate objections maintained by the Illinois State Board of Elections indicates that the Green Party presidential ticket of Jill Stein and Samson Kpadenou—who served as a placeholder candidate before the selection of Butch Ware—was removed from the ballot on August 23. Similarly, Scott Schluter and Lex Greene, who acted as placeholder candidates for the Libertarian...

Donald Trump and his allies are missing the point. Yes, of course liberal media outlets in the US are biased towards Kamala Harris. They’re always biased towards the Democrats’ candidate. Nothing new there. What makes their behaviour right now so remarkable is not that they’re being partisan. It’s that they’re willing to be partisan even though the object of their adulation has been giving them absolutely nothing in return. They’re cheerleading for someone who won’t even speak to them. It’s now over a month since Joe Biden announced that he was making way. Yet, at the time of writing, Ms...

(Aug. 27, 2024) — Well, whatta ya know. Yet another source – this time an established, tax-exempt IRS “527 Organization” rather than an individual human being – raises the issue of the likely compromised “natural born Citizen” (“nbC”) bona fides of Kamala Devi Harris. The National Federation of Republican Assemblies (“NFRA”) has brought the issue back into the public square with its 39-page “Platform and Policy Document” directly questioning Harris’s constitutional eligibility. As a preliminary matter, the story of the NFRA Platform and Policy Document appears in the online version of “The Independent,” a left-leaning media outlet based in London….,...

Some love it and others hate it. But very few people know that the man who made the brave decision back in the 1960s to add pineapple to pizza was a Greek immigrant in Canada. The man responsible for this gastronomic innovation was none other than Sotirios “Sam” Panopoulos. He arrived in Canada by boat in 1954 with little more than a passion for his departed Greek homeland and a belief that boundless opportunity awaited in his adopted country. By the early 1960s, the man born in August 1934 in the village of Vourvoura in the Peloponnese had built a...

Highlighting seas that are rising at an accelerating rate, especially in the far more vulnerable Pacific island nations, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued yet another climate SOS to the world. This time he said those initials stand for “save our seas.” The United Nations and the World Meteorological Organization Monday issued reports on worsening sea level rise, turbocharged by a warming Earth and melting ice sheets and glaciers. They highlight how the Southwestern Pacific is not only hurt by the rising oceans, but by other climate change effects of ocean acidification and marine heat waves. Guterres toured Samoa and Tonga...

First in the Middle East, this is a moment for all to celebrate. Congratulations to Israel and to humanity. Second, this picture powerfully illustrates the reality: the so-called "apartheid" Jewish state, where a Jewish doctor is treating a Muslim Arab who was held hostage by Hamas-ISIS Islamist terrorists in Gaza. Israel, this "apartheid" state, dispatched 18 Jewish soldiers to rescue the Muslim Arab Bedouin and reunite him with his seven children. If you live in New York, Paris, or London, you might be confused because your media won’t show you this reality of the Middle East. Instead, go protest against...
