Green Party presidential nominee Dr. Jill Stein and Libertarian Party nominee Chase Oliver were blocked from appearing on the Illinois ballot by the Illinois State Board of Elections on Friday. Both candidates reportedly failed to submit the required minimum number of signatures.
A list of candidate objections maintained by the Illinois State Board of Elections indicates that the Green Party presidential ticket of Jill Stein and Samson Kpadenou—who served as a placeholder candidate before the selection of Butch Ware—was removed from the ballot on August 23. Similarly, Scott Schluter and Lex Greene, who acted as placeholder candidates for the Libertarian Party presidential ticket of Chase Oliver and Mike ter Maat, were also removed.
Stein and Oliver join three other candidates who were removed from the Illinois ballot earlier last month, including the Constitution Party ticket of Randall Terry and Stephen Broden, Greener Peace United candidate Christopher Cisco, and independent candidate Heather Lynn Stone. Neither Cisco nor Stone listed vice presidential candidates on their filing paperwork.
According to information from the State Journal-Register, both the Libertarian and Green Party presidential campaigns failed to collect the required 25,000 valid signatures needed to qualify.

Ah. “Democracy” doesn’t mean what you think it means when Democrats are in charge.
If there is a more inept political party than the Libertarians, I haven't seen it. A quick Google search shows the last article on Chase Oliver and his Party was nearly three months ago. If he had any political savvy he'd endorse Trump and at least get noticed.
Illinois. Doesn’t matter-come on.
When she’s short of cash, suddenly she’s a Doctor.
DOCTOR Jill Stein, at your service!
The party is a three-ring circus, with a skirt-wearing Clown leading the way.
“In 1973, Stein graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College, where she studied psychology, sociology, and anthropology. She then attended Harvard Medical School and graduated in 1979. Stein practiced internal medicine for 25 years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Simmons College Health Center, and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, which are all located in the Boston area. She also served as an instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.”

Translation: the Dims don’t want competition on their ballot.
WIKI
Oliver supported Barack Obama in the 2008 U.S. presidential election but ended his support after Obama continued the Iraq War. Oliver joined the Libertarian Party in 2010 after meeting several members of the party at an Atlanta Pride Festival.
After becoming the Libertarian nominee for the 2022 U.S. Senate election in Georgia, Oliver faced off against the incumbent Democratic Raphael Warnock and Republican Party challenger Herschel Walker. Oliver was the first openly gay Senate candidate in Georgia.
On October 16, 2022, Oliver attended a debate hosted by Georgia Public Broadcasting and debated against Warnock, as well as an empty podium representing Walker, who had declined to attend the debate.
On election day, Oliver received over 2% of the popular vote. Opponents contended that he was a spoiler candidate and that his votes forced the Georgia senate race into a run-off. In the runoff election, he declined to endorse either Warnock or Walker, while offering to host an internet forum between the two candidates. Rolling Stone called him the most influential Libertarian of the year.
Oliver campaigned extensively in Iowa during the summer of 2023. The Gazette described him as a “pro-gun, pro-police reform, pro-choice Libertarian” who is “armed and gay.” On August 19, 2023, he spoke at the Des Moines Register Political Soapbox, becoming the first-ever third-party presidential candidate to speak at the event.
Oliver supports ending American military aid to Israel and Ukraine. He has labeled the Israeli offensive in Gaza as a genocide. Oliver also supports the closure of American overseas military bases.
Oliver advocates for ending the war on drugs and supports the legalization of marijuana. Oliver also supports repealing the Controlled Substances Act and supports decriminalizing all drugs by passing the Drug Policy Reform Act.
Oliver supports an “Ellis Island-style immigration” system, stating: “If you’re coming here to work and be peaceful, it’s not my business.” He supports a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.
Oliver supports abolishing the United States Department of Education, and advocates “for more choice in the education marketplace on a state-by-state basis”. Oliver also opposes the federal backing of student loans, and supports allowing student loan debt to be dischargeable in bankruptcy.
Oliver supports free trade, and opposes tariffs. He also supports a balanced federal budget and reducing inflation.

Full on Clown show.
Okay, I give her that much. She apparently is a “real” Doctor, but I still say Jill is a Shill, who knows she won’t be elected, but loves collecting all those barrels full of campaign money, money that will be underutilized and left unspent. Money she will be ‘forced’ to (quietly) add to her personal bank account, just like she did in 2016.
I’m surprised they allow anyone besides Democrats on the ballot. They won’t count those votes anyway. The Fox News Decision Desk can call that for Harris right now.
They should use AI like the democrats do
Libertarian and Green Party should get even, stating they want their voters to vote TRUMP.
Illinois will go for the democrat Presidential candidate even if the candidate is a zoo animal.
Oh wait......a zoo animal might have a superior intellect than the current selected Democrat nominee.
DemocRat has become a synonym with corruption.
