Donald Trump and his allies are missing the point. Yes, of course liberal media outlets in the US are biased towards Kamala Harris. They’re always biased towards the Democrats’ candidate. Nothing new there.
What makes their behaviour right now so remarkable is not that they’re being partisan. It’s that they’re willing to be partisan even though the object of their adulation has been giving them absolutely nothing in return. They’re cheerleading for someone who won’t even speak to them.
It’s now over a month since Joe Biden announced that he was making way. Yet, at the time of writing, Ms Harris has still to hold a single press conference. She has also still to do a single formal interview. Journalists are long used to politicians dodging their questions. But at least they normally get to ask them.
If a Republican candidate followed such an approach, these liberal media outlets would – quite rightly – be scandalised. They would bellow: “Why are the GOP evading press scrutiny in this shameless manner? Do they think their candidate is too gormless and inept to cope with a simple interview? Are they tacitly admitting that their candidate’s record is so poor, they’re incapable of defending it? Or are they just arrogant? Do they think they’re above answering questions about their policies – if, indeed, they have any policies?”

And more to the point... that the radical left Democrats/globalists didn’t dare put it to a vote... since they knew it would fail. That they are now ramming Harris/Walz down our throats (and elsewhere) is indicative of their ultimate agenda, hubris and arrogance. They “assume” that we won’t lift a finger to stop them like last time, when they forced their agenda upon us via a stolen election soft coup.
I’m going to do a bit of assuming here myself and say that, as usual, they think wrong. If it turns out that I am wrong, then there is more going on here than just politics... and I won’t feel that bad about being wrong. It’s just not what realistically is supposed to occur in a “free and constitutional-based” nation. Others powers are apparently at play here.
The network media and newspapers see themselves as king-makers. They don’t care as long as they are seen as the powers behind the throne. If they can make Kamala the President, it just burnishes their credentials.
Should we feel sorry for all of those reporters and presenters? Their jobs depend on them coming up with new angles or re-wordings of already-expressed angles.
It’s refreshing that this writer has come up with an angle that at least I haven’t heard before: Kamala’s embarrassing them.
But not really. Kamala’s unable to publicly speak unrehearsed words without doing her campaign harm.
