BATTLEFIELD, NEAR FAYETTEVILLE, ARK., Tuesday, Dec. 8. Gen. HERRON's forces, en route to reinforce Gen. BLENT, met the enemy yesterday on Crawford's Prairie, ten miles south of Fayetteville, Ark., and won a decisive victory. The enemy were 24,000 strong, divided into four divisions, under Gens. PARSONS, MARMADUKE, FROST and RAINS, all under Gen. HINDMAN, and embraced the flower of the Trans-Mississippi army, well supplied with eighteen pieces of artillery. The enemy ranked Gen. BLUNT's positions at Cane Hill, and made a sudden attack on Gen. HERRON, to prevent him uniting with Gen. BLUNT. Gen. HERRON's force consisted of the Ninety-fourth...

If you’ve read my energy storage report, or just the summaries of parts of it that have appeared on this blog, you have probably thought: this stuff is kind of obvious. Surely the powers that be must have thought of at least some of these issues, and there must be some kind of official position on the responses out there somewhere. So I thought to look around for the closest thing I could find to the Official Party Line on how the U.S. is supposedly going to get to Net Zero emissions from the electricity sector by some early date....

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemMatthew 18The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven 18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” 2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name...

The holidays are coming up and the Biden administration’s medical team, joined by first lady Jill Biden, are advising everybody to just enjoy time with family and friends. Just kidding! On Monday afternoon, just before 3:30 p.m., the couple heard their animals making the kind of noises that might warrant an inspection. According to Lieutenant Michael Arens of the San Diego County Sheriff's San Marcos Station, the couple went outside for peace of mind, but instead saw 36-year-old Alexander Belinksy attempting to abscond with one their goats. The couple attempted to intervene, but Belinsky allegedly threw them to the ground. The 79-year-old may have regarded goat theft to be a matter suited to remedy by bare hands, but an assault on his wife was apparently cause for a constitutionally-protected riposte....

Seems the U.S. election wasn't the only election Twitter saw fit to meddle in. Did Twitter get involved in another election? Maybe yes, according to Mr. Musk. This is the story: Twitter owner Elon Musk said on Saturday he thought it was "possible" that personnel at the social media firm gave preference to left-wing candidates during Brazil's election this year, without providing evidence.Musk completed his acquisition of Twitter on Oct. 27, just days before Brazil's presidential second round runoff vote, when far-right incumbent Jair Bolsonaro was defeated by leftist Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva."I've seen a lot of concerning tweets...

Among those with an opinion. There were five polls taken before the decision was released on June 22, and two...

(Daily readings from the USCCB)“I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him but did to him whatever they pleased. So also will the Son of Man suffer at their hands.” Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist. Matthew 17:12–13The last of the Old Testament Prophets was Malachi. He concluded his ministry about 400 years prior to the coming of Christ. Malachi prophesied that a “messenger” would come before the Messiah so as to prepare the way before Him. Malachi goes on further to say that “Elijah the...

Assorted authoritarian leftist whackos are deep into the process of turning Canada into a far less populated version of China. Christine Gauthier is a retired Canadian army corporal and former Paralympian, who has been restricted to a wheelchair since surviving an accident when she was in the service. Gauthier recently testified that she has been waiting years for a wheelchair lift for her home. She also testified that when she expressed her frustration to a Veteran Army of Canada (VAC) caseworker, she was promptly offered the option of being euthanized. According to a report in PJ Media, the caseworker allegedly...

New evidence, helping to form a 15th-century reconstruction of part of Westminster Abbey, demonstrates how a section of the building was once the focus for the royal family's devotion to the cult of a disemboweled saint and likely contained gruesome images of his martyrdom...Today, only an intricate frame remains from the lost chapel of St. Erasmus. It was demolished in 1502 and little has been known about its role historically...In the end, Elizabeth's last resting place was next to her beloved husband in Windsor in St. George's Chapel, which Edward IV had begun in 1475. Future monarchs have also been...

The Federal Reserve has raised interest rates six times this year in its effort to lower inflation—currently at 7.7%—to what it considers to be the ideal level of 2%. But how did the central bankers decide that 2% is ideal rather than some other number? It’s a question several Fed critics have raised. On Friday, Bank of America was the latest to weigh in on the matter, saying bluntly, “there is nothing special about 2%.” The Fed has company in its 2% inflation target. Several countries have the same target, seemingly giving more confirmation that 2% is perfect. Bank of...

Seems some Republican senators are getting their spines back. Despite the midterm elections loss of four compelling Republican Senate candidates, a handful of persistent, emboldened senators have stepped forward to re-establish their authority, thereby creating the beginning of a paradigm shift in the Senate's balance of power. In addition, on January 3, four new senators, all oriented to America First, will take their seats. Beginning with the November 16 challenge to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)'s thirty-year reign, ten senators voted to oppose his 2022 reappointment. Known for unyielding control of the legislative process and repeated dictates to a subservient Republican...

Chase earns more than $5 billion in revenue from its credit card portfolio every year, but now they've made it a new corporate priority to create a product intended to end the credit card business. Chase is working on a direct payment system that will allow funds to be routed from a customer's account directly into a merchant's. This system is designed to bypass credit card processing networks and is intended to run faster than current electronic funds transfer systems. The new system is being referred to as a “pay-by-bank” product. Although Chase has already been involved in a similar...

When all is a war between good and evil, the law is but a weapon, and any order that arises from it is certain to be highly ideological, not to mention cruel and repressive. The FBI and the rest of the Deep State’s witch hunts against innocent Trump supporters and associates are well documented. If you do not know that our governmental institutions are perfectly partisan and corrupt, no quantity or quality of evidence will convince you at this point. The evidence is overwhelming that the federal KGB/FBI is more than willing to both cover up the crimes of consummate...

A married couple from Largo who admitted entering the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot was sentenced to jail time Friday. Marilyn Fassell, 59, a nursing assistant who gained notoriety through a selfie she took while smoking a cigarette inside the building, was sentenced to 30 days and three years probation. Her husband Thomas Fassell, 68, a retired postal worker and Air Force veteran, was sentenced to seven days and two years probation. “There are lawful means available in a democracy to challenge actions you disagree with which don’t include a violent insurrection,” U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly...

The events of January 6, Donald Trump meeting with Kanye West and Nick Fuentes, and Trump writing about terminating parts of the Constitution are arguably a gift trifecta greater than anything Joe Scarborough ever got on Christmas. Because Scarborough sees them as giving him an all-purpose cudgel with which to bash conservatives and defend Joe Biden, no matter the issue. Take Friday's Morning Joe for example. The issue was Biden's decision to trade the Merchant of Death for a basketball player—Brittney Griner. Instead of making any serious effort to defend Biden's deal on the merits, Scarborough went on the attack...

Very tall man encroached on other passengers' space, wouldn't allow a reclined seat Users on the Reddit social media site have come to the defense of an airline traveler who informed a tall passenger during some apparently tense moments on board that he should have purchased additional legroom to accommodate his size — rather than infringing on others around him. A Redditor who goes by the user name "Itchy-Smell8152" recently asked others in the subreddit "Am I the A*****e" (AITA) for their opinions about how he handled a tricky travel situation. In essence, he was not permitted to recline his...
