America’s favorite moneypot is back, just in time for our American leaders’ favorite pleasure: persecuting devout Christians on the basis of their faith. Yesterday, President Zelensky of Ukraine announced Draft Law 8821, which will make the Ukrainian Orthodox Church illegal throughout the country. The law, if passed, will also allow the Ukrainian government the ability to confiscate all church property and outlaw both public and private practice of the religion.

An aviation era has come to an end as Boeing's last 747 has taxied out of the Everett, Washington factory, punctuating the jumbo jet's 54-year production run. The final craft, a 747-8 freighter, will be delivered to airplane-cargo biz Atlas Air after final tests in early 2023, Boeing revealed. While the 1,574th 747 will be the last one assembled, the familiar bulbous silhouette is hardly going to disappear from the skies overnight, according to Boeing VP and GM for the 747 and 767 programs, Kim Smith. "We are proud that this plane will continue to fly across the globe for...

SALEM, Ore. — Oregon’s police training agency is one step closer to adding two more training classes to handle a hiring surge among law enforcement agencies statewide. The need to get new police officers trained is outpacing what the state can do. A group of state lawmakers approved more money Wednesday to add two training classes at the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training with a final vote expected Friday. The agency anticipates getting approval. Two extra classes would cover training for 80 new officers and deputies statewide. State law mandates that every new hire goes to Salem for...

Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons wasted no time in calling out President Joe Biden following the news of Brittney Griner’s release from a Russian prison via a prisoner swap. Griner was arrested in February at an airport in Moscow when customs officials said she was carrying vape cartridges containing hash oil. When Griner pleaded guilty to the drug charges in July, she explained she had “packed in a hurry.” She was sentenced to nine years in prison after being convicted in a show trial. Griner was released in return for notorious arms dealer Viktor Bout, aka ‘The Merchant of...

WNBA star Brittney Griner was released from a Russian prison Thursday as part of an exchange for notorious international arms dealer Viktor Bout, almost ten months after she was arrested on drug charges at a Moscow airport. “She’s safe, she’s on a plane, she’s on her way home,” President Biden said in remarks from the White House, where he was joined by Griner’s wife, Cherelle. The two spoke with the Phoenix Mercury center over the phone, according to senior White House officials. “She’s on her way home, after months of being unjustly detained in Russia, held under intolerable circumstances,” Biden...

Gov. Kathy Hochul has a piece of legislation sitting on her desk that would allow casino operators to hire a diverse range of convicted felons — from drug peddlers to killers. The measure was sent on Tuesday to the governor for her signature or veto after passing the state Senate and Assembly by big bipartisan margins in June. Current law bars licensed casino operators from hiring anyone convicted of any felony. Critics blasted the bill as an another example of a Democrats’ bleeding heart, criminal friendly proposal run amok. “That’s just wrong. This is another example of the New York...

Unlike Archie Bell and the Drells, this tighten-up is about The Federal Reserve tightening-up its monetary policy. On December 31, 2021, the US Treasury yield curve (10Y-2Y) stood at +77.4 basis points, generally a good omen. Then markets woke up. And not in a woke way. As The Fed tightens to tamp down on inflation in 2022, we are seeing a pattern. The US Treasury 10Y=2Y yield curve has sunk to -82 basis points, a -206% decline. In addition to the inversion of the US Treasury yield curve we have witnessed M2 Money growth declining -90%, the S&P 50) index...

My senior manager recently left her husband for another man. This new relationship is very unstable in that they split up on an almost weekly basis. I’ve known my manager for over 20 years, but she has only recently come to work in our team. When she and the new man split up, it is always his decision and she takes it really badly and it severely affects things at work. She will tell everyone about her problems and regularly posts about it on social media. She has called me at home in a state and I’ve spent hours with...

In screening for prostate cancer, the risk of overdiagnosis can be halved, a University of Gothenburg study shows. With the proposed diagnostic pathway, considerably fewer harmless tumors are found. This solves a big problem and makes general screening feasible. Researchers at Sahlgrenska Academy, part of Gothenburg University, and Sahlgrenska University Hospital performed the present study, which is now published in the New England Journal of Medicine. It focuses on a major problem in screening for prostate cancer: a very high proportion of the cancer cases detected represent small, usually harmless tumors. This carries a risk of many men being treated...

Below is my column on Fox.com on the firing of former FBI General Counsel James Baker at Twitter. The move by Elon Musk is raising serious questions of whether he has faced a type of “deep state” problem within his own company obstructing his efforts to restore transparency and free speech values to Twitter. Here is the column: On Tuesday, Elon Musk surprised many by firing former FBI General Counsel James Baker as legal counsel for Twitter. For many of us, the most surprising thing was that Baker was still at Twitter. I had assumed that Baker had left the...

Surveillance video shows him driving a black Dodge Charger into the secure parking lot of the Rialto police station, following closely behind a squad car. He then walks towards a stopped cruiser that appears to be carrying an assault rifle. In the video, he can be seen approaching the driver’s side window, gun in hand, then running away, turning and aiming at the vehicle. Tellez was shot and wounded more than once. He is in stable condition at a local hospital, police said.

(Daily readings from the USCCB)The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, “Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.” Luke 1:26–28What does it mean to be “full of grace?” This is a question at the heart of our solemn celebration today.Today we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of the Savior of the World, under the unique title of “The Immaculate Conception.” This title acknowledges...

The Kremlin has poo-pooed a report that Russian strongman Vladimir Putin recently fell down a flight of stairs and defecated on himself. The denial comes after the Telegram channel “General SVR,” which purports to be run by a former Kremlin spy, claimed the 70-year-old leader took an a fecal fall at his residence on Nov. 30. Putin was reported to have landed on his tailbone, causing him to “involuntarily defecate” due to “cancer affecting his stomach and bowels.” The tyrant’s press team has since been trying to clean up after the embarrassing report. “Regarding your request, we can say that...

OAKLAND, CA – A group of feminists who were staging a demonstration on December 5th in opposition of California’s law allowing biological males to be housed in women’s prison were reportedly accosted and attacked by a group of pro-transgender radicals in response to the demonstration. All the more unsettling, a San Francisco-based media outlet that operates more along the lines of an amplification tool for far-left extremists took to social media to cheer on the women being attacked.

Proposed changes to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) rules will strip access to public waters and devastate local economies along most of the eastern U.S. coastline, according to boating and fishing advocacy groups. The North Atlantic Right Whale Vessel Strike Reduction Rule will decimate the U.S.’s multi-billion-dollar boating and fishing industry without protecting endangered North Atlantic right whales (NARW) from severe injuries and deaths, the Center for Sportfishing Policy (CSP) and the South Carolina Boating and Fishing Alliance (SCBFA) told the Daily Caller. NOAA’s proposed regulation expands the speed-restricted area, the Seasonal Speed Zone, up to 90 miles out,...

Celine Dion revealed to her fans Thursday she has been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that affects about 1 or 2 people per million, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine. The disease “is characterized by fluctuating muscle rigidity in the trunk and limbs and a heightened sensitivity to stimuli such as noise, touch, and emotional distress, which can set off muscle spasms,” according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). People with stiff-person syndrome often have a hunched-over or stiff posture, and may have trouble walking or moving. Some people may be “afraid to leave...
