Surveillance video shows him driving a black Dodge Charger into the secure parking lot of the Rialto police station, following closely behind a squad car.
He then walks towards a stopped cruiser that appears to be carrying an assault rifle. In the video, he can be seen approaching the driver’s side window, gun in hand, then running away, turning and aiming at the vehicle.
Tellez was shot and wounded more than once. He is in stable condition at a local hospital, police said.
