Russia state-owned media outlet Tass announced Saturday that Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said troops would being "regrouped" from areas around Balakliya and Izyum to the Donetsk region, though Fox News Digital could not locate the report, suggesting it may have been...

Hi, friends: I want to mount flags out of my apartment windows, on horizontal or diagonal poles, perpendicular to the wall exterior. Can you suggest no-drill hardware or clamps that allow me to attached these to the upper part of the casement, so I can lower the upper part of the window to properly adjust and maintain the flags? I rent, and want to make this relatively uncomplicated, seasonal, and remove the hardware if I vacate one day. The landlord and neighbors will not be an issue. I just want a simple way to fly our beautiful flag out a...

TORONTO — Marsha Hunt, one of the last surviving actors from Hollywood’s so-called Golden Age of the 1930s and 1940s who worked with performers ranging from Laurence Olivier to Andy Griffith in a career disrupted for a time by the McCarthy-era blacklist, has died. She was 104. Back in July, Bank of America hired Michael Gapen as its chief U.S. economist, and the former Barclays exec began his tenure with a gutsy call, arguing a “mild recession” would hit the U.S. by the end of the year. Before Gapen’s hiring, Bank of America’s economists had refrained from using the R-word, even if many of their peers weren’t so shy. But Gapen highlighted weaker-than-expected services spending, fading fiscal support, persistent inflation, and rising interest rates as his evidence for a more bearish outlook. On Friday, however, Gapen and his team of economists said the situation has changed over...

[Catholic Caucus] “Humanae Vitae” Under Siege. Cardinal Müller Defends It and CounterattacksThe irrationality of many of Pope Francis’s decisions is not to be found only in the selection of cardinals, both promoted and excluded, as laid bare on August 31 between the serious and the burlesque by Milan archbishop Mario Delpini in his unforgettable commendation (at 2:14:20 of the video recording) of the bishop of the little diocese of Como, Oscar Cantoni, clad in purple unlike him.The irrationality seems to have infected even the Vatican institutes most in tune with Jorge Mario Bergoglio, including the Pontifical Academy for Life presided...

"After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne." "And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was,...

Russian forces have withdrawn from key eastern towns, as a rapid Ukrainian counter-attack makes further gains. Ukrainian officials said troops entered Kupiansk, a vital eastern supply hub for Russian forces, on Saturday. Russia's defence ministry then said its troops have retreated from nearby Izyum to allow them "to regroup". The ministry also confirmed the withdrawal of troops from a third key town, Balaklyia, in order to "bolster efforts" on the Donetsk front. The Ukrainian advances - if held - would be the most significant since Russia withdrew from areas around Kyiv in April. Izyum was a major military hub for...

The death of Queen Elizabeth II was celebrated by an Argentine television show host, who popped champagne while pronouncing “the old b***h has died” live on air. Santiago Cúneo, a member of the ruling left-wing Justicialist Party in Argentina, has come under criticism after he mocked the death of the Queen. In a clip that has since gone viral on social media, the Buenos Aires-based politician and TV show host said in comments translated by the New York Post: “She’s done for good,” adding: “Loud applause for Satan who has finally taken her.” With a chyron on the screen reportedly...

It appears it's become a weekly pattern for President Joe Biden to give ranting and raving remarks about how much MAGA Republicans "threaten democracy." On Thursday, Biden gave remarks at yet another DNC event, this time at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Forest Hills, Maryland. Such remarks came one week after his notorious speech outside Independence Hall in Philadelphia, and two weeks after he referred to Republicans and their philosophy as "semi-fasciscm," also at a DNC event. After mentioning the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Biden got right into it with what he claimed wasn't hyperbole, but...

Moscow abandoned its main bastion in northeastern Ukraine on Saturday, in a sudden collapse of one of the war's principal front lines after surging Ukrainian forces threatened to encircle the area in a shock advance. The swift fall of Izium in Kharkiv province was Moscow's worst defeat since its troops were forced back from the capital Kyiv in March, and could prove a decisive turning point in the six-month-old war, with thousands of Russian soldiers abandoning ammunition stockpiles and equipment as they fled. The head of Russia's administration in areas in Kharkiv it controls told all residents to evacuate the...

Marilyn Monroe and Hugh Hefner were born in the same year and buried in the same graveyard. But as Louise Perry points out in her book “The Case Against the Sexual Revolution,” they met completely different fates. Marilyn died a tortured sex symbol of the burgeoning sexual revolution, while Hefner lived large as the quintessential playboy, capitalizing on the same sexual liberalism. “The story of the sexual revolution isn’t only a story of women freed from the burdens of chastity and motherhood, although it is that,” Perry writes. “It is also a story of the triumph of the playboy —...

“In our rules, nobody can sell anything with ‘The Godfather’ or mobsters or anything that denigrates Italians,” John Fratta, a member of the committee that runs the iconic Little Italy festival, held from Sept. 15 to 25, told The Post. “We don’t need people thinking that the mob is running the feast.” The 2016 decree was added to its vendor rules — and store owners in the area were told that if they want to still peddle the items, they must only be sold inside their shops. “It’s gone. We don’t want that crap there,” he said of the mob-orabilia.
