Beth Ann Rosica began writing letters to Governor Tom Wolf in April of 2020, just a couple of weeks after schools and businesses were forcibly closed across Pennsylvania in the early days of the COVID outbreak. She could never imagine those letters would turn into activism that would ultimately lead to one of the single greatest citizen victories in the country. By the spring of 2021, most Americans knew what COVID was, how it was spread, and who was vulnerable. People were suffering COVID fatigue from the endless and ineffective mandates, but none more so than kids in states like...

T The mother of Hunter Biden’s out-of-wedlock child broke her silence about their relationship for the first time since 2019 when she filed for a paternal DNA test, the New York Post reported Wednesday. Lunden Roberts shares a daughter, Navy Joan Roberts, with Biden. She reportedly disavowed her lawyer’s forecast that Biden would be charged with tax fraud in an interview with the outlet. “I never said that I thought Hunter would be indicted — my attorney did,” Roberts told the New York Post. His comment to media was without my authorization I might add,” she added. “I have never...

Eating two or more servings of avocado weekly was associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, and substituting avocado for certain fat-containing foods like butter, cheese or processed meats was associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease events, according to new research published today in the Journal of the American Heart Association, an open access, peer-reviewed journal of the American Heart Association. Avocados contain dietary fiber, unsaturated fats especially monounsaturated fat (healthy fats) and other favorable components that have been associated with good cardiovascular health. Clinical trials have previously found avocados have a positive impact on cardiovascular risk...

How do we know Bruce Willis' aphasia wasn't caused by the vaccine? Nobody is talking about it. I wanted to make sure everyone knows aphasia is one of the thousands of symptoms whose reporting rates were elevated after the COVID vaccines rolled out. It’s #1574 on that sorted list of symptoms elevated by the COVID vaccine that we calculated back in November 2021. But I also very distinctly remember, very early on after the vaccines rolled out, a story from Dr. Byram Bridle of a teenage girl, perfectly healthy before getting the vaccine, who couldn’t speak shortly after getting vaccinated....

NEW DELHI (Reuters) -A significant increase in Russian oil imports by India could expose New Delhi to a "great risk" as the United States prepares to step up enforcement of sanctions against Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine, a senior U.S. administration official said. While the current U.S. sanctions against Russia do not prevent other countries from buying Russian oil, the warning raises expectations that Washington will attempt to restrict other countries' purchases to normal levels. The U.S. official's comment comes ahead of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's two-day visit to New Delhi and during the ongoing visit of U.S....

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD, is a psychiatric pathology. Current estimates suggest this disorder affects between 2% and 5% of children in Spain, and up to 4% of the adult population. Controversy surrounds the treatment of this pathology. For this reason, experts are continuing to investigate different opportunities for patients diagnosed with ADHD. A team has studied the possibility of including caffeine in the therapeutic arsenal used to alleviate some of the symptoms of ADHD, given the controversy surrounding the use of some medicines derived from methylphenidate, among others. The study concludes that a prescribed consumption of caffeine can...

Check your local listing for times. The Night of the Iguana. Richard Burton. Ava Gardner and Deborah Kerr in a steamy drama set south of the border. The Sandpiper. Vincent Minnelli directs Richard Burton and Liz Taylor. I've never seen it, but I assume it's good. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe? The BEST Burton/Taylor film ever. I've always wondered if it is really possible for someone to really drink as much as they did in one night. Days of Wine and Roses. If you're still in the mood for booze soaked drama between married couples, then watch this move with...

The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision has announced they'll discharge eight thousand people on parole from supervision by March 31st. This comes after Governor Kathy Hochul signed the "Less is More Act" back in September of 2021. Eddie James Henley, who was sentenced to eight years for illegal firearm possession, says this will help move many forward. "The main reason like myself have been violated for little or nothing," Henley says. "Like curfew or perhaps marijuana in their system. They're violated, but this will alleviate these guys going back to jail for small things. Peaceprints of...

To Applebee's franchise executive Wayne Pankratz, surging gas prices are an opportunity for his business, rather than a downside. That's because, as he told managers at franchise owner Apple Central in an emailed memo, the pool of people who work at Applebee's live "paycheck to paycheck" and will be forced "back into the work force" to earn more. Pankratz also saw another silver lining: High gas prices will increase costs for competitors, who won't be able to increase wages to the extent they had been. "We all competed to hire out of the limited applicant pool and there was a...

WASHINGTON, March 30 (Reuters) - The Biden administration is considering releasing up to 180 million barrels of oil over several months from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), four U.S. sources said on Wednesday, as the White House tries to lower fuel prices. The latest amount of U.S. oil release being considered, which is equivalent to about two days of global demand, would mark the third time the United States has tapped its strategic reserves in the past six months, and would be the largest release in the near 50-year history of the SPR.

“Big Brother does not watch us, by his choice. We watch him, by ours…. When a population becomes distracted by trivia, when cultural life is redefined as a perpetual round of entertainments, when serious public conversation becomes a form of baby-talk, when, in short, a people become an audience, and their public business a vaudeville act, then a nation finds itself at risk; culture-death is a clear possibility.” —Professor Neil Postman.Once again, the programming has changed.Like clockwork, the wall-to-wall news coverage of the latest crisis has shifted gears. We have gone from COVID-19 lockdowns to Trump-Biden election drama to the Russia-Ukraine...

Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and the Democrat National Committee were fined on Tuesday $113,000 by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) for hiding their spending on the fraudulent Russia “dossier.” Hillary’s campaign and DNC allegedly reported payments to Democrat law firm Perkins Coie as legal expenses instead of earmarking them accurately as “paying Fusion GPS through Perkins Coie to conduct opposition research on Donald Trump,” according to the original complaint of Campaign Legal Center.

Hi all. I just got done with the last of the Horatio Hornblower books, read all 11 in about two weeks and now I need some book suggestions. I liked the naval warfare aspects of the Hornblower books. I usually read classic (50’s-early 80’s) science fiction, some military fiction, some science. I’ve tried to plow thru o’Brians, Master and Commander and I might try again. Thanks in advance. Have a great day.

This Women's History Month, liberals have made incredible strides toward "progress" for American women. For example, a biological male won the NCAA women's swimming championship. Yes, the left has truly redefined progress and women's rights this month through a coordinated campaign of marginalization and erasure aimed at women. This March also capped off a year in which Democrats and their woke activists replaced women and mothers with "birthing people" and "chest feeders." To close out this month dedicated to women — we're still waiting for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to tell us what that means — here are 10 thought-provoking...

China, after years of persistent commercial, diplomatic, and military efforts, is taking over the Pacific. Beijing is moving from island group to island group, and soon the People's Liberation Army will be in striking distance of Hawaii. The five-year deal, subject to automatic renewals, will allow Beijing to use the islands to base its military and to do pretty much what the Chinese military wants. If implemented to its full extent, the Framework Agreement will give China the ability to sever shipping lanes and air links connecting the U.S. with its treaty ally Australia and partner New Zealand. For decades,...
