CNN economics and political commentator Catherine Rampell called out the liberal media’s fairy tale that gas prices are skyrocketing mainly because of the war in Ukraine.

A new poll obliterated the liberal media’s attempts to hypnotize Americans into believing that a leftist green agenda is preferable to lower gas prices and U.S. energy independence. But to the horror of Al Gore superfans and radical environmentalists, the eco-brainwashing does not seem to have worked on the American people.

Two of the top economists at the George Soros-funded Economic Policy Institute (EPI) claimed in an op-ed for CNN Business that U.S. families have become “better off” thanks to government stimulus money. They also wrote that America is experiencing a “strong recovery” — except they made zero mention of soaring gas prices and completely downplayed concerns over inflation.

...Before responding to the question, the two leaders were heard breaking out into laughter. “Okay. A friend in need is a friend indeed,” Harris said from the podium while laughing aloud.

On the menu today: Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in. Why does it always come back to biological-research labs? No, Ukraine does not have a secret biological-weapons program — or at least there’s no proof of one. A biological-research facility and a biological-weapons-research facility are not the same thing — but even if Ukraine has no biological weapons, that doesn’t mean the stuff in the country’s various labs can’t be dangerous. And the U.S. — and the world — have good reasons to not want a bunch of hungry, young, poorly briefed Russian conscripts...

Through 2019 and 2020 the women worked to increase Republican turnout across South Texas, with Flores running Hispanic outreach. For the most part, they toiled out of the spotlight. Even when De La Cruz announced a congressional bid, in 2020, to try to unseat two-term Democratic congressman Vicente Gonzalez, national and state Republicans paid little attention to her campaign... In 2016 Donald Trump hadn’t even mustered 30 percent of the vote in Hidalgo County, where Gonzalez’s district was anchored. Then everything changed. The world of South Texas politics was rocked in November of 2020, when Trump far surpassed expectations in...

It’s full speed ahead for zero-emission cars in California. The Golden State got the green light Wednesday to proceed with its nation-leading clean car program after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reinstated a waiver reaffirming its decades-old authority to set emission limits stricter than the federal government’s — setting the stage for California to develop auto emission rules to meet Gov. Gavin Newsom’s goal of eliminating new gas-powered cars by 2035.

Nairobi (AFP) – More than 70 percent of South Sudan's population will face extreme hunger this year as conflict and climate-related disasters deepen food scarcity, the UN's World Food Programme (WFP) warned Friday. Since gaining independence from Sudan in 2011, the world's newest nation has been in the throes of economic and political crisis, and is struggling to recover from a five-year civil war that left nearly 400,000 people dead. On Friday, the WFP warned of a fresh hunger crisis threatening millions of South Sudanese already battered by floods and a resurgence of conflict. "While global attention remains fixated on...

By urging Poland to supply jets to Ukraine, the United States was attempting to provoke Russia into launching some form of military response against Poland. What the Biden administration is attempting to do is to deliberately expand the Ukrainian theatre of war into other eastern European countries. In response the exasperated Poles carried out what must be one of the most brilliant moves in the history of modern diplomacy. The Poles announced that they would make their jets available for combat in Ukraine, but it was the United States itself that would have to do the handover. This administration is...

Radio host and TV commentator Dan Bongino built an army-sized following over the years on Twitter, with 2.4 million fans. In a few short weeks, he's attracted about a tenth of the same following on President Trump's nascent Truth Social platform. But with millions fewer users and hundreds of thousands fewer followers, Bongino's Truth Social account — like those of scores of other conservative stars — is creating substantially more engagement on posts than his long-time audience on Twitter. Thursday afforded the latest example. Bongino sent the same message out on both platforms to alert audience to his latest video...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemHebrews 1212 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose...

The children were sexually and physically abused and suffered from neglectful supervision and medical neglect while at The Refuge, a facility located in Bastrop contracted by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, a current Refuge employee reported to state authorities on Jan. 24. The court and the court monitors — watchdogs of the foster care system appointed by the judge — were not notified until Thursday. That employee said a former staff member sold nude photos of two children in the facility’s care, using the proceeds to purchase illegal drugs and alcohol that were then supplied to the...

Jussie Smollett learned his fate Thursday after a judge delivered the terms of his sentence following a contentious four hours in a Chicago courtroom. Mere minutes after being ordered into custody to begin serving 150 days in jail, the actor addressed the court one last time – despite the fact he said prior to having his sentence read that he had nothing to say. The former "Empire" star, 39, stood up and affirmed his innocence in a passionate declaration to Cook County Judge James Linn, saying, "I'm not suicidal." "I respect you, your honor," Smollett said as he placed his...

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the...

DENVER — Prosecutors plan to drop a second-degree murder charge against a former television station security guard who shot a pro-police demonstrator following protests in downtown Denver in 2020. Matthew Dolloff’s attorney, Douglas Richards, said the Denver District Attorney’s Office informed him by phone Thursday that prosecutors would dismiss the charge at a pre-trial hearing March 21. To those who think political commentator Bill Maher has somehow drifted from his traditionally liberal beliefs, the comedian says it's actually those on the left who have become too extreme in theirs. That was one of the sentiments made by the talk show host of Real Time with Bill Maher to conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro on a coming episode of Shapiro's The Ben Shapiro Show: Sunday Special.

WASHINGTON (AP) — It’s not often that a president gets everything he asks for, but that’s what happened. President Joe Biden wanted $1.9 trillion to help the country climb out of the coronavirus crisis last year, and Democrats in Congress delivered. The American Rescue Plan was stuffed with rental assistance, tax rebates, direct payments and money to distribute vaccines that had just become available. Less than two months after Biden took office, it was a hopeful sign that he could fulfill his campaign promise. But the legislation’s legacy is more complicated than it originally appeared. Depending on who’s telling the...

Ever since the ’90s, when my wife and I were on active duty, we witnessed the slow morphing of the US Army from a Conservative—and, yes, a male entity—into a much more liberal culture. More than once, we discussed how the trend might eventually affect the Second Amendment. We considered what might happen if the federal government ordered the military to start going after the guns of civilians. Our military is expected to obey orders unless they are unlawful, which is a tricky decision under the best of circumstances. All orders are presumed lawful, and disobedience is at the soldier’s...
