Since Rush's passing I have found it very hard to find a substitute to listen to. Rush is irreplaceable but searching the Internet I have come across some people that I look forward to watching every time they post something. The most popular one I have found is Mark Dice. He has some really cutting humor much as Rush was capable of delivering on a daily basis. He has some great insights as well. The sleeper that I have found is Brittany Hughes on MRC-TV. She is brilliant. She is the mother of two and the wife of a soldier....

Q: What moves could the United States make beyond sanctions right now that would help protect Ukraine? A: The most important move now is for the president to announce Vladimir Putin is a war criminal. Really. This gives enormous diplomatic leverage and a greater incentive to help the campaign. ... Q: You advocate a no-fly zone? A: Absolutely. The airspace belongs to Ukraine. If they ask for help, why can’t we fly airplanes in there? Say, oh, it’s because of the Russians, they might come up and contest it. That’s the Russians’ problem. They’re going to get shot down. Okay,...

US EDITION OF THE WORLD'S OLDEST MAGAZINE RUSSIA Putin understands America’s moral decay He and Xi Jinping think we’re weak and dissolving from within. Could they be right? Sewall Facebook Twitter Last October, Vladimir Putin aired a speech to the Russian nation chiding the United States for its moral decay. LOUISVILLE, KY. — A Kentucky jury on Thursday cleared a former police officer of charges that he endangered neighbors when he fired shots into an apartment during the 2020 drug raid that ended with Breonna Taylor’s death. The panel of eight men and four women delivered its verdict about three hours after it took the case following closing arguments from prosecution and defense attorneys.

The White House does not support a ban on Russian oil imports, according to press secretary Jen Psaki, despite even House Speaker Nancy Pelosi joining in on the calls for the U.S. to cease buying Moscow's fuel. 'We don't have a strategic interest in reducing the global supply of energy, and that would raise prices at the gas pump for the American people,' Psaki told reporters Thursday. Asked what would need to happen 'on the ground' in Ukraine for the U.S. to stop buying Russian oil, the press secretary demurred. 'I don't know if we look at it exactly through...

Sen. Rand Paul has endorsed Nathan Dahm for Oklahoma's open Senate seat, backing a probable ally in his bid to have Anthony Fauci fired from his medical advisory role. Paul cited his confidence in Dahm's commitment to conservative values and his parallel view the nation's top infectious disease expert should be removed from office for his handling of COVID-19 in his announcement of the endorsement on Thursday. "As you know, I’ve been standing up against the mandates of Dr. Fauci, but I need your help. That’s why I’m endorsing Nathan Dahm for Senate," the Kentucky senator said in a statement....

Dartmouth researchers have built an artificial intelligence model for detecting mental disorders using conversations on Reddit, part of an emerging wave of screening tools that use computers to analyze social media posts and gain an insight into people's mental states. What sets the new model apart is a focus on the emotions rather than the specific content of the social media texts being analyzed. In a paper presented at the 20th International Conference on Web Intelligence and Intelligent Agent Technology, the researchers show that this approach performs better over time, irrespective of the topics discussed in the posts. There are...

Dr Brad Stanfield notes that metabolism goes into steep decline after about age 60. Simultaneously age related disease go straight up in the other direction. He therefor surmises that supplements that improve metabolism have the best chance of improving defensive mechanisms against age related diseases. His top five list consists of 1. NR nicotinamide riboside 2. Melatonin 3. Glutathione precurer L cysteine OR NAC 4. Glutathione precurser L serine (which converts to glycine) 5. Hyerleronic Acid. He mentions that L carnitine may have a role in treating non alcholic fatty liver disease. (If you have a big gut--then likely you...

A former Chicago Park District Attorney is seeking damages from Mayor Lori Lightfoot after an obscene, insulting rant against the attorney and the Chicago Italian-American community came to light. The Park District was responsible for the statue of Christopher Columbus in Arrigo Park that Lightfoot had ordered removed during protests in 2020. They were negotiating with the Joint Civic Committee of Italian-Americans to have the Columbus statue displayed during the annual Columbus Day parade. The statue wasn’t displayed in the Chicago parade but did make an appearance at a suburban event. Ron Onesti, president of that Italian-American group, was in...

When is Violence the Answer? In my adult life (since 1983) I’ve heard so many people both in and out of government say, “Violence is not the answer.” Thus, my question is: WHEN is violence the answer? Violence WAS the answer when the British trampled on our rights which resulted in the Revolutionary War and our independence. It was the answer again when the British pressed Americans into service aboard their ships and resulted in the War of 1812. Violence was the answer when the Barbary States enslaved Americans. It was the answer when Santa Ana denied Texans their rights....

On March 3, 1918, in the city of Brest-Litovsk, located in modern-day Belarus near the Polish border, Russia signs a treaty with the Central Powers ending its participation in World War I. snip By the terms of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, Russia recognized the independence of Ukraine, Georgia and Finland; gave up Poland and the Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to Germany and Austria-Hungary; and ceded Kars, Ardahan and Batum to Turkey. The total losses constituted 1 million square miles of Russia’s former territory; a third of its population or 55 million people; a majority of its coal,...

This is how Trump handled Russians. Mike Pompeo, the head of the CIA and President Donald Trump's nominee for secretary of state, confirmed on Thursday that the US military killed hundreds of Russians in an intense fight in Syria. The US had previously only confirmed killing 100 or so pro-Syrian regime forces, but multiple outlets reported the number was as high as 300 and that the soldiers were Russian military contractors.

Among the many myths about Canada that have been shattered is the old chestnut that, unlike the U.S., with its cutthroat Darwinian ethos, Canada is a largely egalitarian and compassionate society—the kind of place where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s “sunny ways” rule. The Freedom Convoy and the government’s heavy-handed response (“Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Tyranny,” Review & Outlook, Feb. 23), invoking the Emergencies Act to subdue peaceful civil disobedience, has cast into sharp relief class divisions bubbling under the superficially egalitarian surface of the Canadian self-image. The class dimension becomes evident from the demeaning and charged language used by politicians and...

THURSDAY AFTER ASH WEDNESDAY LUKE 9:22-25 Friends, our Gospel today lays out Jesus’ conditions for discipleship. For all of us sinners, to varying degrees, our own lives have become god. That is to say, we see the universe turning around our ego, our needs, our projects, our plans, and our likes and dislikes. True conversion—the metanoia that Jesus talks about—is so much more than moral reform, though it includes that. It has to do with a complete shift in consciousness, a whole new way of looking at one’s life. Jesus offered a teaching that must have been gut-wrenching to his...

How can an administration claim to be so committed to the idea of families … and so oblivious to the rights of parents to care for and protect their own? To be sure, the president and his team don’t lack for projects designed, ostensibly, to help the families of America. In his State of the Union speech Tuesday, the president outlined a near-exhaustive list of objectives, including replacing “poisonous lead pipes,” providing “clean water to drink at home and at school,” reducing the costs of energy and pharmaceuticals, cutting the costs of child care, and extending the Child Tax Credit....

President Joe Biden tore into Texas' 'cynical and dangerous' plan to investigate the parents of transgender children seeking gender affirming medical treatments, saying it amounted to 'weaponizing child protective services against loving families.' 'This is government overreach at its worst,' Biden said in a statement Wednesday night, saying Texas' Republican Gov. Greg Abbott's directive came about 'just to score political points.' Abbott was on the Republican primary ballot Tuesday - and handily won his race against a number of challengers to his political right.

A Virginia substitute teacher has been suspended after expressing approval of Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to invade Ukraine and urging students to read Russian propaganda outlets including Sputnik News. Arlington Public Schools suspended John Stanton, 65, who made the comments during an eighth-grade Spanish lesson on Friday at Swanson Middle School. Stanton told the Washington Post he offered an opposing viewpoint about Russia's barbaric invasion of Ukraine for the first 10 minutes of a 90-minute class while expressing approval of Putin's decision to invade.
