Sen. Rand Paul has endorsed Nathan Dahm for Oklahoma's open Senate seat, backing a probable ally in his bid to have Anthony Fauci fired from his medical advisory role.
Paul cited his confidence in Dahm's commitment to conservative values and his parallel view the nation's top infectious disease expert should be removed from office for his handling of COVID-19 in his announcement of the endorsement on Thursday.
"As you know, I’ve been standing up against the mandates of Dr. Fauci, but I need your help. That’s why I’m endorsing Nathan Dahm for Senate," the Kentucky senator said in a statement. "I know Nathan Dahm will join me in demanding that Fauci is immediately fired and removed from office. Time and time again, Nathan Dahm has proved that he's a man of courage and conviction who will break the current mold of big government and endless spending."
Dahm touted the endorsement as "an honor."
"It is an honor and a blessing to receive Senator Rand Paul's complete and total support," Dahm said in a statement. "Rand Paul is one of the leading voices in Washington defending our constitutional rights from the Washington machine and standing up to Anthony Fauci's COVID tyranny. When elected, I look forward to joining Rand in protecting our God-given rights, closing our southern border, firing and prosecuting Anthony Fauci, and making America First again."
The Oklahoma state senator shares similar views, telling the Washington Examiner the infectious diseases expert "belongs in federal prison for his denials of knowledge of gain-of-function research in a Wuhan, China, lab before the coronavirus pandemic."

There’s a big dilemma about my big leg Emma uh huh.
...and the Supreme Court nominee he’s related too.
Do it Rand! Even though you’ve got a weird hairdo.
Oklahoma could not do any better than Lahmeyer and Dahm as Oklahomans’ Senators. Hopefully only one will challenge lankford.
They need not split the vote against the chicken shit lankford.
The other can run for Inhofe seat.
Fired? How about forensically audited by the GAO and then brought up on criminal charges with the possibility of prison and loss of pension!
Good good good
OK needs a non-Bush League Republican Senator.
Someone who will stand with the citizens and the rule of law and against amnesty and open borders.
Rand Paul’s endorsement does not tell us anything about this candidate’s stand on that as he is weak himself on that issue.
He was my State Senator. I did not live in his district, but owned a business in it.
The man is very conservative.
I will vote from him.
He is a damn site better than lankford.
Fired? What about arrested?
I have a big black cat sleeping on the corner of my desk. He gets up and goes out to hunt early in the morning and stays all day. Not a rat or a mouse or a snake anywhere around the farmstead. The guy works really hard. I’d vote for Pepper before voting for Howdy Doody Lankford.
As for Dahm, the conservative positions are a good line but did you look at his campaign site? Good platitudes but lightweight. I wish there were someone better and better credentialed. At least he isn’t a lawyer.
Very happy to see Inhofe finally giving up. He stayed way too long. Can’t understand these people who won’t go home and enjoy their sunset. Their service is neither that vital and they are not irreplaceable.
Well, what you are going to find about what he thinks and stands for is pretty basic. From his campaign site:
Securing our Elections
Backing our First Responders
Stopping Critical Race Theory
Defending the Right to Life
Protecting the Second Amendment
Securing our Borders
Opposing Vaccine Passports
Bush League? Decide for yourself. I’m looking for better.

Thanks for the link.
Pretty generic stuff on his site.
Sounds good, but so did GWB in 2000.
I don’t expect to be dazzled. I’m pretty basic myself but there isn’t much depth there.
Rand does not endorse Bush Leaguers. Bush and the neocons are his mortal enemy and that of his father.
He has spent most of his life fighting against them on things like PATRIOT ACT, the wars, deficits, expanding government, etc.
I fear that if he were to come across as more conservative, he might not be electable even in red Oklahoma.
He is better than anything we have now, or might have.
How about the plumber that doesn’t work for us. He pays his own salary with the taxes he pays.
He doesn’t mind joining them to import more replacements for us.
