  • February 27 - Spiritual Hunger’s Second Object—Sanctification - Devotional

“‘Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied’” (Matthew 5:6). For the Christian, the object of hungering and thirsting is growth in sanctification, which is a crucial mark of the genuine believer. No one who follows Christ attains complete sanctification until heaven, and to claim otherwise would be the height of presumption. Thus saints in this life always need to strive for more holiness, which will be seen in their lives through obedience to the Word. Paul prayed that the Philippian believers might “abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,...

Since Russia began its aggressive actions against Ukraine, Russian officials have accused NATO of a series of threats and hostile actions. This webpage sets out the facts. Top Five Russian Myths Debunked Myth 1: NATO promised Russia it would not expand after the Cold War Fact: Such an agreement was never made. NATO’s door has been open to new members since it was founded in 1949 – and that has never changed. • Will The Russian Military Go On Strike?

Will the Russian military go on strike because of the events in Ukraine? In some ways they have ALREADY gone on strike. The typical Russian soldier has NO motivation to go above and beyond the call of duty. Instead they are doing the least needed to just get by. An example of this was in a video I saw of a Ukrainian driving his car up to a Russian tank that had run out of fuel on a country road. He had sort of friendly banter with the Russian tanker and even some joking around. It was very obvious that...

When we shared yesterday that all interested observers should be very wary of the information from media sources around Ukraine, there was a reason for that. Question everything. Take nothing at face value. If you have never experienced the propaganda push surrounding war, the totality of the inbound bullsh*t can be destabilizing, overwhelming and unnerving. It’s one of the reasons why CTH doesn’t share immediate information. Everyone has an agenda. Everything we are seeing in U.S. media surrounding U.S. interests in Ukraine is a massive propaganda operation with the headquarters in the U.S. State Department and U.S. intelligence community. The...

Zelenskyy, reportedly' asked Bennett on Friday' if Israel could serve as a mediator between Russia and Ukraine. On Sunday afternoon, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett by telephone. Bennett reportedly offered to serve as a mediator in the war in Ukraine to de-escalate tensions and bring fighting to an end. The Kremlin has not commented on whether Putin accepted Bennett’s offer. The call with Bennett then raised yet more questions. Might Putin be looking for a diplomatic way out of the war in Ukraine, and thus might be inclined to accept Bennett’s offer? Or is...

When Gary Kilgore North passed away on February 24, 2022, at the age of 80, he left behind a massive storehouse of Christian scholarship without parallel in the modern church. For nearly fifty-five straight and solid years he applied himself as a craftsman with single-mind devotion to researching, writing, and speaking about God’s world from the perspective of God’s Word. While he lived his work benefited his large readership around the world. For generations to come it will be of great use to the Church of his Lord Jesus Christ. .....

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said on this week’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show” that if Donald Trump were president during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he would be praising President Vladimir Putin and “denigrating NATO.” Schiff said, “It is important for people to recognize Ukraine has been at war with Russia for a long time. Back during that impeachment, there were Ukrainians fighting and dying every week at the hands of Russians and Russian-backed separatists. At that time, Donald Trump was holding back military aid to Ukraine to extort Zelensky of Ukraine to help him smear his opponent Joe...

As freedom-loving citizens do what they can for the people of hard-pressed Ukraine, SpaceX founder Elon Musk has answered a call from Ukraine for help that only he could provide. On Sunday, Musk announced that SpaceX’s Starlink satellite broadband service was active in Ukraine where the Russian invasion was vastly disrupting internet access, according to Fox Business. On Saturday, Mykhailo Fedorov, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, begged Musk for help. “[W]hile you try to colonize Mars — Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space — Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people! We ask you...

I teach Sunday school at my Church. For our next study we will be doing a class on the Trinity - which I see the world and false Christians attacking more and more in contemporary society. The primary text I will be using is “The Forgotten Trinity” by Dr. James White. It is aimed at the layman and should be an excellent resource. But whenever I teach a subject I like to get immersed in it so I can respond to the inevitable tough questions the class always ends up throwing at me. Accordingly, I am looking for some other...

ORLANDO, Fla. – In a combustible Republican primary in the most expensive Senate race in the nation this year, candidate Jeff Bartos says he’s got the winning ingredient that his rivals for the GOP nomination in Pennsylvania don’t have. "I’ve been working for five years around the state," the real estate developer, philanthropist and the 2018 Republican nominee for lieutenant governor told Fox News Digital in an interview in Orlando at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the largest and oldest annual gathering of leaders and activists on the right. "The voters know me and I know them. We have...

Ukrainian forces in Kyiv have destroyed a column of Russian vehicles in the city's northwest after surviving a 'brutal' night of shelling. Volunteers, among them the former Miss Ukraine Anastasiia Lenna, have taken up arms to fight off Vladimir Putin's army, with 'long queues' of citizens waiting to be issued weapons at recruitment centres in Kyiv. -snip- Lenna, who won the Miss Ukraine competition in 2015, posted an image of herself on Instagram as she announced she had joined the country's resistance against Russian troops. Lenna, who usually works as a public relations manager in Turkey, posted the image alongside...
  • GOP's Hagerty rips Big Tech for welcoming authoritarians like Putin, yet 'censoring' conservatives

ORLANDO, Fla. – GOP Tennessee Sen. Bill Hagerty blasted Big Tech for its hypocrisy over what it chooses to censor on its platforms or not. The senator, speaking on Saturday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), told Fox News Digital it's "amazing" to see how Big Tech picks and chooses which viewpoints to silence on its platforms. Authoritarians, such as Russian President Vladimir Putin, he said, are "welcome" on large social media platforms — while conservatives in America, such as former President Donald Trump, are silenced. 'It’s amazing to me that this is the path that Big Tech seems...

I throughly enjoy this violin sonata by Carl Philip Emanuel Bach, one of J.S. Bach sons. The Sonata begins with a flowing 3/4 movement on the keyboard soon joined by the violin in a lightly syncopated manner. I believe 'to syncopate' means to use a rhythm with displaced beats or accents so that the strong beats are weak and vice versa. I'm still learning how to listen to baroque music and break down what they are presenting. When I first heard this, it reminded me of another composition that was written about 100 years after this sonata. I thought of...

As the death toll mounts in Ukraine - where at least three children have died since Vladimir Putin ordered the country invaded - a tone-deaf Russian TV host is fuming about how the conflict has cost him access to his Italian luxury villas. Proponent pro-Putin television personality Vladimir Soloviev publicly lamented Friday losing access to his multimillion-dollar vacation homes due to Italian-imposed sanctions spurred by Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. 'Is this the Iron Curtain?' Soloviev opined on the set of his late-night program. 'I was told that Europe is a citadel of rights, that everything is permitted, that’s what...

It’s time for Weekend at Biden’s, the Ukraine edition. Let us begin with breaking news from the Eastern Front, which Dementia Joe is monitoring closely from his getaway assisted-living facility in Delaware. His stirring call to arms Thursday will be remembered for generations. All dialogue guaranteed verbatim. “Now the entire world sees clearly what Putin and his kreminite and and and his Kremlin allies are all about.” Fortunately, aid is on the way — not. “NATO came together and authorized and activated an activation response plans. This’ll enable NATO’s high-readiness forces to deploy and when and where they’re needed.” But...

For years, a global choir of right-wing politicians has sung the praises of Vladimir Putin. They looked up to the Russian strongman as a defender of closed borders, Christian conservatism and bare-chested machismo in an era of liberal identity politics and Western globalization. Fawning over him was a core part of the populist playbook.

Kosovo has asked the United States to establish a permanent military base in the country and speed up its integration into NATO after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Kosovo's Defence Minister Armend Mehaj said on Sunday. The United States has already 635 soldiers in the Balkan country to maintain the fragile peace as part of a NATO peacekeeping mission. read more Kosovo's 2008 independence is recognised by more than 110 countries, mainly Western nations, but not by Serbia or its traditional ally Russia. ORLANDO, Fla. – Other than former President Donald Trump’s address on Saturday evening, Sunday’s results of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) straw poll are the most anticipated moment at this weekend’s gathering in Florida. Voting among registered attendees has been underway since Thursday among the thousands of people taking part at the confab in Orlando, which is the oldest and largest gathering of conservative leaders and activists. "CPAC is a good barometer of the most active grassroots of the party," veteran Republican pollster and political consultant Frank Luntz told Fox News. "I expect Trump to win the straw poll...
