Kosovo has asked the United States to establish a permanent military base in the country and speed up its integration into NATO after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Kosovo's Defence Minister Armend Mehaj said on Sunday.
The United States has already 635 soldiers in the Balkan country to maintain the fragile peace as part of a NATO peacekeeping mission. read more
Kosovo's 2008 independence is recognised by more than 110 countries, mainly Western nations, but not by Serbia or its traditional ally Russia. Four NATO members also refuse to recognise Kosovo's independence.

They already have a permanent American base, have had it for over 20 years. I used to say back when it first went up that Camp Bondsteel was built for the ages.
Kosovo join NATO? NATO forces have had to babysit that place for over 20 years. What a joke. Speaking of “keeping a fragile peace”, the only threat to peace around there are the “Kosovar Albanians” (as Clinton called them) themselves.
The timing and reporting of this is telltale: A little jab at Putin. But it also exploses our hypocisy. It’s fine, you see, when NATO violates its own charter and the UN Charter, attacks a sovereign nation, tears off a piece and declares it independent, then proceeds to occupy it.

Putin did what many thought could not happen, REVIVED NATO.
What a flaming fire dumpster miscalulatikn. He was worred about NATO and should have let it just gas out on the fumes it was running on. BUT NO, THE GREEDY OVEREACHING PIG STEPPED IN IT.
I’ve been saying, keep an eye on the Balkans, Serbs are still pretty loyal to Russia, it wouldn’t take much to flare things up there.
