ORLANDO, Fla. – In a combustible Republican primary in the most expensive Senate race in the nation this year, candidate Jeff Bartos says he’s got the winning ingredient that his rivals for the GOP nomination in Pennsylvania don’t have.

"I’ve been working for five years around the state," the real estate developer, philanthropist and the 2018 Republican nominee for lieutenant governor told Fox News Digital in an interview in Orlando at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the largest and oldest annual gathering of leaders and activists on the right.

"The voters know me and I know them. We have the strongest grassroots infrastructure. We have the strongest grassroots army across 67 counties," Bartos touted.

Bartos, who launched his Senate campaign nearly a year ago, is one of the leading contenders among a number of well-financed candidates in the race to succeed retiring GOP Sen. Pat Toomey. It's a Senate contest in a key battleground state that could decide whether the Republicans win back the chamber’s majority in November’s midterm elections.

Among his top rivals in the GOP Senate primary are Mehmet Oz, the well-known celebrity physician, cardiac surgeon, author and former longtime host of TV’s popular "Dr. Oz Show;" Dave McCormick, a former hedge fund executive, West Point graduate and Gulf War combat veteran who served as a Treasury Department official in former President George W. Bush's administration; Carla Sands, a real estate executive and major Republican donor who served as ambassador to Denmark under former President Donald Trump; and veteran and conservative political commentator Kathy Barnette.

Pointing to some of his competitors, Bartos argued that "for $100 million dollars they couldn’t buy what we’ve built.

Oz did NOT show up at the debate on Monday, including California carpetbagger Carla Sands.

But Barnette did, as expected of a Trump inner circle member.

Pa. GOP Senate debate skipped by Oz, McCormick

here’s an interesting quote:

Everett Stern, a little-known Chester County candidate drew the most passionate audience response — prolonged booing and jeering — for his stated mission of saving theGOP from the type of “right-wing extremism” that fueled the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.

”I hope everyone on this stage admits that [Joe] Biden is the president,” he said. “I hope we’re on the same page here.”

This is Everett Stern. Any resemblance to Alexander Vinderman is natural as both crawled out from the same test tube.

That vomit scum will take all the anti-Trump vote between him and Oz.

This is good because it will clear the field for the one MAGA candidate to clean house.

Stern’s flesh will be scraped off of Trump’s shoe. /spit

Jeff Bartos...Democrat donor, good buddy of John Fetterman, former intern to Bill Clinton, and friend of Hillary.

John Fetterman and Jeff Bartos are the odd couple of PA politics

GOP Senate candidate Jeff Bartos donated to and praised Democrats in past

According to Federal Election Commission fillings, Bartos donated $1,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in 2011. And, in an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer in March 2014, Bartos spoke about his time as an intern for Democratic President Bill Clinton, describing the Clintons as “incredibly approachable,” and saying Hillary Clinton had been unfairly maligned.

“Mrs. Clinton gets a bad rap for being distant,” said Bartos in 2014 when asked to describe the Clintons. “She couldn't have been nicer to a 20-year-old unpaid staffer. … We had a birthday party for her chief of staff, and she helped me clean up — pick up the plates, throw them in the trash.”

Not gonna happen!

Bartos has been at the top of my list for some time now. I’ll give Barnette a listen, but I need to hear more than platitudes (that’s what I have heard so far and I have not invested the time to find out more).
