President Biden called on the Federal Trade Commission to investigate whether oil-and-gas companies are participating in illegal conduct aimed at keeping gasoline prices high. A hearing officer at a Nevada community college has ruled against a professor who says the school is trying to fire him for standing against weakening math standards.
