President Biden called on the Federal Trade Commission to investigate whether oil-and-gas companies are participating in illegal conduct aimed at keeping gasoline prices high. In a Wednesday letter to FTC Chair Lina Khan, Mr. Biden alleged that there is “mounting evidence of anti-consumer behavior by oil-and-gas companies.” He said gasoline prices are rising even as the price of unfinished gasoline goes down. “This unexplained large gap between the price of unfinished gasoline and the average price at the pump is well above the pre-pandemic average,” Mr. Biden wrote. “Meanwhile, the largest oil-and-gas companies in America are generating significant profits off...

A Gallup survey of Americans shows that support for stricter gun control is at its lowest point since 2014. The Gallup survey shows that 52 of Americans support stricter gun control. When broken down by party, the greatest percentage of gun control support comes from Democrats. For example, 24 percent of Republicans support stricter gun control, 45 percent of Independents, and 91 percent of Democrats. And it is important to note 45 percent support for stricter gun control among Independents is actually 15 percent lower than the percentage of support among the same political group in 2020. Gallup notes that...

Dr. Anthony Fauci and the National Institutes of Health are using an island off the coast of South Carolina to breed monkeys for use in horrific “maximum pain” animal experimentation. New photographs and details obtained by White Coat Waste Project and provided exclusively to Timcast reveal the extent of the taxpayer funded cruelty and lack of regard for the well-being of these highly intelligent animals. “Our new investigation has found that Fauci’s revolting record on taxpayer-funded animal testing is even bigger than #Beaglegate. He’s also wasting millions of tax dollars to subsidize a secretive island where primates are bred for...

On Tuesday, New Day brought on a lawyer who, in attempting to refute Rittenhouse's claim of self-defense, made an absolutely absurd assertion. Robert Hirschhorn, a lawyer and jury-selection consultant, ranted: "I’m sorry, nobody's ever died as a result of being hit with a skateboard. Now, you point a gun at somebody, you've got the right to defend yourself. But being kicked or being hit, you don’t bring a gun to a fistfight. You don’t bring a gun when somebody's hitting you with a skateboard."Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

A hearing officer at a Nevada community college has ruled against a professor who says the school is trying to fire him for standing against weakening math standards. In a report issued November 12, Truckee Meadows Community College Special Hearing Officer Vicky Oldenburg found that math Professor Lars Jensen violated several school codes when he protested a new curriculum structure that essentially allows remedial math classes to count for college credit. The report brings Jensen one step closer to being fired with cause. The report will now go to a faculty panel that will vote and write up its own...

Original 9-1-1 cast member Rockmond Dunbar is leaving the hit Fox drama series after more than four seasons. His character, Michael Grant, was abruptly written off in Monday night’s episode, leaving fans of the first-responders drama stunned. According to sources, Dunbar’s departure stems from the new Covid protocols on the show, produced by Disney TV Studios’ 20th Television, which require all actors to be vaccinated. I hear Dunbar requested a medical exemption and later sought a religious exemption. Both were reviewed by Disney and were rejected, sources said. According to insiders, Dunbar is not believed to be anti-vaxxer but declined...

An estimated 100,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in one year, a never-before-seen milestone that health officials say is tied to the COVID-19 pandemic and a more dangerous drug supply. Overdose deaths have been rising for more than two decades, accelerated in the past two years and, according to new data posted Wednesday, jumped nearly 30% in the latest year. Experts believe the top drivers are the growing prevalence of deadly fentanyl in the illicit drug supply and the COVID-19 pandemic, which left many drug users socially isolated and unable to get treatment or other support. The number is “devastating,”...

Joe Biden’s OSHA-enforced vaccine mandate currently hangs in the balance. Last week, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals refused to lift a stay on the “emergency” regulation, citing grave constitutional concerns and gamesmanship by the administration. Yet, there was still some hope inside the White House that the case would end up before a more favorable court to be fully adjudicated. Those hopes were dashed to pieces yesterday evening after the court was chosen at random. The conservative 6th Circuit Court of Appeals was selected and will now hear the case. A GOP-dominated court has been picked at random to...

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran conceded her reelection race Tuesday to Republican challenger Bruce Blakeman, one of several municipal-level government posts across New York that the GOP flipped in this election cycle. Curran offered the concession after Blakeman beat her by more than 2,100 votes with nearly all absentee ballots counted, according to unofficial returns. “This is not the result we hoped for, but there is so much to be proud of,” said Curran, a centrist Democrat who was elected in 2017. “Four years ago, we promised to clean up the corruption and fiscal mismanagement that plagued county government, balance...

A Virginia university has placed an assistant professor on administrative leave after the educator sparked heated backlash for saying it isn’t necessarily immoral for adults to be sexually attracted to children. Allyn Walker, who teaches sociology and criminal justice at Old Dominion University, made the controversial comment while discussing “minor-attracted persons” and pedophiles during a Nov. 8 interview with the Prostasia Foundation, a San Francisco-based child protection organization. Walker, who uses the pronouns they/them, was discussing their book, “A Long Dark Shadow: Minor-Attracted People and Their Pursuit of Dignity,” when they insisted it’s important to use that terminology instead of...

The jury in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial has begun its deliberations. As we wait, it is worth acknowledging that this trial has come to stand for what may well be the future of criminal defense law in America. Put aside the tactical errors of the prosecutors and the trial antics of a flamboyant judge and even the radicalization of the vigilante right—what is left is a snapshot of what will happen every time jurors contemplate how guns, protests, and hair-trigger self-defense combine in public spaces. And it looks very much like passing judgment over a shootout at the O.K. Corral....
