* CBS’s Face the Nation pairs Van Hollen with Don Bacon and surrounds them with Dr. Oz in his CMS role and Cardinal McElroy, giving Face the Nation a mix of institutional voices anchored by a predictable Democratic center of gravity.
* Fox News Sunday, guest‑hosted by Jillian Turner, balances Kristi Noem with Bill Cassidy and Ami Bera, then adds the Israeli ambassador and a mixed panel, creating a four‑corners structure that still leans toward establishment Republicans rather than populists.
* NBC’s Meet the Press sets up a high‑contrast hour by placing House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries opposite Marjorie Taylor Greene — but because Greene leaves office in two days and no longer represents the incoming Republican power structure, the pairing functions more as a personality contrast than a true institutional counterpoint, giving NBC the appearance of balance without the substance of it.
* ABC’s This Week centers Chuck U Schumer, offsets him with Mike Lawler, and adds San Francisco’s mayor, then follows with a panel that reliably trends anti‑Trump, shaping the tone of the hour before the interviews even begin.
* CNN’s State of the Union pairs Jim Jordan with Gov. Andy Beshear and then brings in a panel that, aside from Scott Jennings, leans heavily toward Democratic messaging, creating the familiar “Jordan vs. the room” dynamic.
* Fox News Channel Sunday Morning Futures remains the only fully aligned conservative lineup of the day — Britt, Emmer, Collins, and Luna — offering a coherent ideological through‑line while the other networks mix contrast pairings with panels that tilt their preferred direction.
As always, soliciting FReeper comments, observations, and opinions.

“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!
Happy New Year
John 16:33 (King James Version)
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
2025 was one of the greatest comeback years in the country led by one man President Donald J Trump. This man took a country which was in a deep recession and on its way to a depression as it had runaway inflation, flooded boarders, hotels filled with illegals, massive drug overdoses, and joblessness everywhere. No other man could have done half of what he has and he is just getting started.
Under the Biden regime there was no direction except down with a leader who did not know what his name was. There was no hope and only fear as crime and destruction were completely out of control. America was vilified around the world and especially in America as the haters were completely in control while men were women and beating them up in the ring and on the track. Every part of the country was falling apart.
Then Trump was elected and he went to work 24/7 to turn the mess around. He is a builder and remodeler on grand scales and he decided to rebuild the Shining City from the ground up. He saw from an economic level what was rotten and what was still good and started putting in a good economic foundation while being $40 Trillion in debt, which was more efficient and low-priced energy.
His first Executive Orders were reopening the federal lands for drilling and exploration to bring down the price of gas and diesel to lower production and transportation costs for businesses and individuals. He reopened the coal mines and is reopening coal plants for cheap energy to offset labor costs in the turd world countries. Low energy costs helps high energy production like steel, aluminum, and high-tech industries. This gives the economy a strong foundation for rebuilding businesses.
He then started framing his economy with threats and tariffs. He watched America’s steel belt become the rust belt as tens of thousands of businesses moved overseas leaving millions in poverty and hopelessness in its wake. The Trump Tariffs are bringing hundreds of billions from foreign countries while those same countries are investing in new manufacturing in America. Soon nearly everything in the stores will say Made in America as the scoffers scoffed and is now beginning to happen.
He then went on a world sales tour and had countries invest around $20 Trillion in new industries throughout the US but mostly in Red high energy states. Many of these businesses will be building their own power plants and reselling it to energy companies but Texas and coal country will be getting most of the investment.
Eggs were $8.50 a dozen when he arrived and now Safeway has them at $1.99. This has happened throughout the country as item after item is reduced back to pre-Biden levels and especially gas, which is down around $2 in certain states, none of them on the Lefty Coast who are closing down oil and gas production.
He has brought peace to sixteen countries which were in the midst of eight wars and on the verge of solving the Ukraine war. He has absolutely closed the border of human and drug trafficking dropping drug overdoses dramatically. He has brought peace to Israel and throughout the Middle East which would be a massive miracle by itself. The elimination of the Iran nuclear program is something the world has wanted for decades and Trump got it done.
Most people throughout the economy from construction to farming expect it will roar next year as the pieces are in place for a big year. You could write for days about the positive changes he has made for America in so many ways both economically and spiritually but it is safe to say, President Trump is well on his way to rebuilding The Shining City on a Hill.
Happy New Year

And... Now Sen Tom Cotton on Face the Nation.
Seems like this move by Trump in Venezuela has prompted a lot of demand for Republicans?
Is it too much to hope the GOP stays united, on message and in full support of the Donroe doctrine?
We need to remember our president has realized that if the US to remain successful we need a world that will not sabotage everything we do.
One of the first issues on his list was Venezuela. They have savaged our country in many ways. They were pouring fentanly, other drugs, doing illegal human smuggling and aiding cartels from Mexico.Basically they tried their best to destroy our country.
President Trump sent a message by removing the illegal potus of Venezuela and putting him in a US jail to be tried and hopefully convicted of a myriad of crimes.
One of the highlights of liberating Venezuela which will be run by the US until the locals are ready to take it back over is that the country is rich in resources.
Besides the gold, silver, rare earth and other riches Venezuela has 303 billion barrels of oil in its reserves accd. to multiple sources.
Even though it might take ten years and billions spent by crude oil providers to bring it back it will happen. Currently producing a million or less per day estimates are it could produce up to four million barrels per day in ten years.
Here's more on Venezuela's huge crude oil reserves:
By comparison, the U.S. — the world's largest oil producer — churns out 13.5 billion barrels per day. According to the Energy Information Administration Saudi Arabia, the world's No. 2 oil exporter and leading OPEC producer, pumps an estimated 10 million to 12 million barrels. No. 3 Russia produces 9.4 million.
Francisco J. Monaldi, director of the Latin America energy program at Rice University, predicted it would take at least a decade — and investments of more than $100 billion — to rebuild Venezuela's oil infrastructure and lift production to 4 million barrels per day, which is well above its historical production levels.
But doesn't Venezuela have more oil in the ground? Yes, Venezuela is estimated to have the world's largest proven oil reserves, with more than 303 billion barrels — that represents roughly 17% of the total global oil supply, OPEC data shows.
“The bottom line is that the size of the reserves is only paralleled by the ones in the Middle East, in the Persian Gulf and Canada's reserves,” Monaldi told CBS News.
Venezuela's reserves top second-ranked Saudi Arabia's 267 billion barrels, and are more than six times the U.S.’s reserves. Most of Venezuela's untapped oil is located in what is known as the Orinoco Belt, a roughly 21,000-square-mile area that stretches across the country's northeastern region.

Gotta wonder if its time for the "Landman' to fly out to Venezuela?
Sunday Morning talk shows. This should be good.
Normally I ignore them completely, but a mass head explosion event is worth some attention. Let’s see how many are distressed that Pres. Trump is trying to prevent a Chinese puppet narco-state in our hemisphere.
HEre he is:
Each Year the tabloids would start the year with predictions by psychics. I saved this issue and the following year found they were about between 2% and 5% right—and many were so generalized as to be worthless. So I did my own predictions and I proved to be about 9% right. Some are easy Like the death of Dick Van Dyke (he is 100 now) some are hard and many no one got like the assassination of Charlie Kirk. SO—These are my predictions for 2026.
1. Charles III will die Mid Year. 2. Frankenstein best picture of the year. 3. Cuba in revolt with US occupation.
4. Death of Zelenskyy in an airplane accident. 5. The prince will become new leader of Iran—and an ally of USA. 6. Kim of North Korea replaced by his sister. 7. Madam LePen will be sentenced to jail in France. 8. Hunter Biden will run for political office and win. 9. Italy will leave the EU. 10. Peace in Ukraine by end of the year.
No question the demo-commies are so hell bent on self-destruction they even condone criminals like Maduro who smuggled loads of fentanyl killing our youth by the hundred into the US.
Wow lots of predictions there really a difficult call on many of them.
Almost each one starting with “Let me be clear...”
Why, you're not clear other times? What's up with this focus-grouped term and the consistency? Have they been emailed all the same talking points? Like, yeah.
I thought for sure after yesterday that Linda would show up somewhere acting all butch. Ah well, I can leave my foam brick in it’s box today 🙂
