U.S. Senator John Fetterman asked President Donald Trump to fire Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in a social media post Tuesday, .
“President Donald J. Trump: I’m making a direct appeal to immediately fire Secretary Kristi Noem,“ Fetterman wrote on Facebook. “Americans have died. She is betraying DHS’ core mission and trashing your legacy to secure our border. DO NOT make the same mistake President Biden made for not firing a grossly incompetent DHS Secretary.”
Fetterman made a similar post on X, just a day after condemning the killings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good by U.S. Border Patrol agents and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents.
“The operation in Minneapolis should stand down and immediately end,” Fetterman said.
The senator called himself a “very pro-immigration Democrat,” yet rejected calls to defund or abolish ICE.
“I strongly disagree with many strategies and practices ICE deployed in Minneapolis, and believe that must change,” Fetterman said.
Fetterman said he would not vote to shut down the government, even though Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said he would block a spending package unless Republicans remove DHS funding.
The call for Noem’s firing isn’t new: There are 120 co-sponsors on an impeachment resolution against Noem.
On Sunday, the Democrats’ official X account simply stated, in all caps, “IMPEACH KRISTI NOEM.”
Fetterman has faced pressure from his constituents as well. In early January, roughly 100 people gathered in Harrisburg to protest ICE, and a pacifist Christian faith group with Pa. roots participated in protests in Minnesota.
Prior to his social media posts Monday and Tuesday, Fetterman largely stayed mum on Pretti and Good’s deaths, although he said on Jan. 15 that he doesn’t support abolishing ICE.

Well, so now we see Fetterman, bending over backwards to prove that he is liberal. He’s concerned about a primary challenge in his next election. Actions such as this will help burnish his liberal credentials.

“Americans have died”….. being retarded and making bad decisions…. All while protesting the police. No one said cleaning up the mess democrats made would be easy or clean…. But from what I see, this is exactly what I voted for.

I get both sides. In my opinion, she’s over her head and needs to be out of the way. On the other hand, I oppose dishing out red meat to the radicals, so she has to stay.
Given that, Trump’s approach seems best - Homen takes over Minnesota operations with Noem out of the loop there.

It is trendy recently for all the democrats to demand she be fired. They NEVER said Mayorkas should be fired for letting millions of criminals wander into the country and kill thousands of our citizens.

Both of those people who died were Leftists who embrace Leftist ideology before they are classified as Americans.

These despicable people on the Left will overlook anything, even if their own progeny, kin, or friends suffer as a result, if they conclude that allowing that is supportive of their Leftist goals.
