Is this Nurse alive or is she dead. I see evidence from sites like ancestry.com and other obituary sites (some now only cached) showing that she died. These seem credible especially when cross referencing with her Instagram account which references relatives. In other words the obituary will reference relative(s) with those relative(s) appearing on her Instagram account. I believe her Facebook account has been taken down. She has not posted, apparently, to social media since December 14th of 2020. By all accounts, she was a prolific poster to social media prior to that date. She was 30 years of age....

Basically, Bloomberg wrote an article that reported, that Amazon is arguing, that a National Labor Relations Board decision to approve vote by mail (regarding an Amazon v labor union issue) promotes a risk of fraud. Vote by mail, being justified by a fear of COVID-19. Website 'Nation and State' wrote its own synopsis of the matter; and that may be viewed at the provided link, above.

China passed a law on Friday that for the first time explicitly allows its coast guard to fire on foreign vessels, a move that could make the contested waters around China more choppy. China has maritime sovereignty disputes with Japan in the East China Sea and with several Southeast Asian countries in the South China Sea. It has sent its coast guard to chase away fishing vessels from other countries, sometimes resulting in the sinking of these vessels. China’s top legislative body, the National People’s Congress standing committee, passed the Coast Guard Law on Friday, according to state media reports....

“ UPDATE: Two items of major note and a couple of other things. First, we talked to Roger Villere this afternoon and he said that while he’d had discussions with Sancha Smith about working the 5th District race for her, he hadn’t made any agreement to do so as of now – so something which had a decent bit of traction in Republican circles can have its brakes tapped at this point. And second, Claston Bernard is now in the 2nd District race. He qualified this afternoon. He’s the right guy for the GOP to run in that district, and...

21 Jan 2021 The United Kingdom is resisting a demand from the European Union that it grant full diplomatic status to the bloc’s ambassador in London, causing a row between the recently divorced parties that spilled out into the open on Thursday. The UK, an EU member for 47 years, voted to quit in 2016 and completed its tortuous journey out of the bloc on December 31, when Brexit fully took effect. The BBC reported that the Foreign Office was refusing to grant the same diplomatic status and privileges to EU ambassador Joao Vale de Almeida and his team as...

General Motors debuted a new logo meant to convey the automaker’s renewed commitment to the production and sale of electric vehicles. The company is also launching a new marketing campaign to underscore that commitment, as it seeks to compete with Tesla and other automakers that are rushing new EVs to market. It’s been about a decade since GM has last tweaked its logo, but this update represents the starkest change in the company’s 113-year history. The most obvious change is the use of a lowercase “gm” in the logo, after previously only using capital letters. The underline has been shortened...
