Rather, he missed a golden opportunity to try to unite the country. I think he should have held out an olive branch to Blue-Dog Democrats and try to get them to abandon the Socialists who are trying to take over the party.
I don’t think we need unity. We need to call out the enemies of freedom on this day of freedom. Unity is overrated and is misunderstood. Trump did the right thing.

There are crazy Democrats and Crazier Democrats.
There are no “Moderate” Democrats.
This person obviously did not listen to/watch the same speech President Trump gave, last night. The blue dogs need to wake up and see what’s happened/is happening to their party ... the commies are taking over. POTUS addressed this, clearly.

And I did watch the speech. I likes the anti-commie points, but what can be done. We need some cross-overs. Some Dem commentators have seen the light, warning the party (Harold Ford, etc).
He should’ve trashed islam just as much as communism, but that’s always a forbidden topic in US government to mention.
Trump should roll out the red carpet for the Democrats. With plenty of bear traps under it.

According to rating sites, my Congressman is effectively a "moderate" Democrat, but he calls himself "Republican" (Brian Fitzpatrick). He is one of the most liberal Republicans in the House, and one of the most conservative Democrats which goes to show how deep the divide is. It didn't used to be that bad.
