Sen. Ron Johnson (Wis.) on Saturday urged his fellow Republicans to "take back" local government positions in order to "take back our culture." Johnson made the remarks in a speech to Wisconsin's state GOP convention, where his presence was met with applause and chants of "six more years," The Capital Times reported. The senator bemoaned what he characterized as the Republican Party neglecting local offices in favor of federal positions. "Take back our school boards, our county boards, our city councils. We will take back our culture. We don't have to fear this anymore," Johnson said, according to the Times....

Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) said Sunday on Fox 40’s “Inside California Politics” that Republicans and Fox News would not stop the investigation into the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill. Anchor Frank Buckley said, “Chairwoman Waters, as you know Republicans blocked the 9/11 style commission to investigate the January 6 attack on our Capitol. If you're a self-styled "social advocate," the last thing you're going to do is blame the current crime surge on the criminals. Instead, appearing on Tiffany Cross's MSNBC show Saturday morning, former LAPD cop Cheryl Dorsey blamed . . . the police, calling them "butt-hurt" and "cowardly."Why, in Dorsey's view, are police "butt-hurt?" Because, she claimed, "they can't run willy-nilly through a police department and abuse with reckless abandon." Dorsey then described police leaving specialized units as "cowardly." Democratic leaders are engaging in a cynical bait-and-switch in a “deal” on a federal infrastructure bill. Every Republican in the Senate, including those who initially signed on to what they thought was a good-faith agreement, should reject the Democrats’ ploy. **SNIP** Before the sun had even set on the agreement, however, Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi both effectively reneged on it. Now, they say they won’t enact the compromise package unless a second bill, containing almost all of their other extravagances, passes at the same time through budget reconciliation rules, which will allow passage with a simple majority of...

Nearly three-dozen corporate PACs have donated at least $5,000 to Republicans who objected to certifying the 2020 election, yet Toyota leads by a substantial margin [a WHOPPING $55,000]. Why it matters: Following Jan. 6, huge segments of corporate America rethought their political-giving programs. The new numbers suggest some large companies have decided to maintain support — even for members of Congress deeply enmeshed in the pro-Trump conspiracy theories that fueled the Capitol attack... **snip** ...What they're saying: "We do not believe it is appropriate to judge members of Congress solely based on their votes on the electoral certification," a Toyota...

Anyone out there still offering the benefit of the doubt that the entire “social justice” movement is a sick scam need look no further than the petulant stunt Gwen Berry pulled Saturday at the US Olympic track and field trials. There stood Berry, a black woman, reaching for the second time the stratosphere of American athletic achievement, and yet still lecturing about “systemic racism.” “I feel like it was a setup, and they did it on purpose,’’ she said of the producers playing our National Anthem during the award medal ceremony.
