Cal Fire responded to reports of a man being bitten by a shark at Gray Whale Cove just north of Half Moon Bay. At around 9:15 a.m. local time, first responders found a male surfer in his thirties with severe injuries to his right leg. They confirmed that the victim was indeed bitten by a shark.
Paramedics used advanced life support measures to stop the bleeding. The victim was admitted to San Francisco General Hospital but has now been released.
The San Mateo Sheriff's Department estimates that the great white shark was between 6 to 8 feet long based on the bite marks.
Gray Whale Cove has been closed for the time being.
Update: Shark died of Covid.
am I the only sick one that desperately wants to photos of the wounds???

I really need to learn to take my time when proof reading
Who let the shark into the hospital?
Was he a loan shark?
Shark probably now has AIDS
C’mon, Man. It was a boating accident.
Bad writing skills strike again.
Land shark
Nope,I’d like to see the bite marks too. This could have been a bull shark very easily.
Great Whites have been snacking on seals here for a long time. With the boom in seals, I am surprised we haven’t had more attacks. Of course, the beaches in CA were all closed for Covid.
We need Shark Control. This is uncalled for. First thing we outlaw is assault sharks.
A juvenile Great White; if it was mama or papa the leg would be gone.
What did the man do to the shark to provoke it?
How a democrat lifeguard will ask....
Maybe the shark was anorexic.
