Election Day may have us tied up in anxious knots today. But we can also take solace in the fact that nearly 12 billion miles away, one of humanity's greatest achievements is twinkling back at us, and our understanding of the mysteries of the universe continues to unfold.... ...After a seven-month hiatus without being able to command Voyager 2, NASA is now able to communicate new directions and procedures to the craft, the agency announced. The Voyager 2 space probe, launched in August 1977, has been traveling outward for more than 43 years visiting Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune....

Error 525 ... host error? It looks like we've been deplatformed on some critical infrastructure that has taken the site offline. We're trying to speak to people and find out more before saying more than that. So far we have received some very general account account termination emails. https://twitter.com/bitchute/status/1323741461972594688

True service is a noble thing, but catering is sly and snaky. Jesus taught that the greatest among us should be the servant of all. True service does not enslave the people. Instead, it brings a divine order to earth—true civilization, in other words. Serving is a noble act done by noble people. Those who are capable of serving are already endowed with greatness by virtue of their marvelous humility, and they truly serve. The good they do is an outpouring of the good already in them. They do not lie for the sake of power, for they do not...

NYT Twitter Nov. 3, 2020 SNIP In the United States — which, unlike many other countries, does not have a national electoral commission — the role of calling the winners of presidential elections falls to the news media. Here’s how it will work: Each TV network makes its own state-by-state determinations. ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC, as part of the group of news organizations belonging to the National Election Pool, base their calls on data gathered by Edison Research. The Associated Press, which has assigned 4,000 reporters to collect information from county clerks in 50 states, conducts its own count....

Two Jeffrey Epstein victims have separately dropped their cases against the dead pedophile’s estate and his alleged madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, new court papers show. SNIP Similarly, a woman who anonymously sued Epstein’s estate in December, alongside eight other accusers, has also dropped her claims, court papers from Friday show. SNIP Araoz — who launched a foundation last week to help other victims of sexual abuse — filed a separate lawsuit against Epstein’s estate, claiming that he raped her when she was just 15. That case is still pending.

New research this week offers some hope for at least one aspect of our immunity to the coronavirus that causes covid-19. The study, conducted by researchers in the UK, found evidence that certain T cells created to combat the coronavirus during infection continue to show a “robust” response at least six months later. ... ... the study found that people who felt sick tended to have a stronger T-cell response than those who were asymptomatic, which could suggest that symptomatic survivors are better protected.
  • Is Texas About To Turn Blue? Not According To Early Voting Data

    The Federalist ^ | November 3, 2020 | John Daniel Davidson
Yes, Texas saw record early voter turnout last week. But a majority of those early voters appear to be Republicans. Texas made national headlines last week when news broke that turnout for early voting surpassed total voting turnout in 2016. When early voting ended on Friday, about 9.7 million Texans had voted compared to about 9 million total who voted four years ago. This is a big deal for the Lone Star State, where traditionally voter turnout has been among the lowest in the country. It’s also a big deal for Texas Democrats and mainstream media pundits, who assume that...

SNIP The eldest Kardashian daughter, Kourtney, 41, is catching flak for peddling eyebrow-raising claims about the supposed health risks of surgical masks to her 102 million Instagram followers. On Halloween, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star reposted an unattributed blurb that read in part, “Those Blue Masks Mandated at grocery stores & airplanes are made of PTFE, a carcinogen made of synthetic fluoride.” The medical warning about PTFE, or polytetrafluoroethylene — a man-made chemical found in nonstick cooking coatings like Teflon — included a picture of a ubiquitous three-ply, single-use blue surgical mask. The post went on: “According to...

Election Day kicked off with a bout of chaos in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with poll watchers reportedly denied access and witnesses alleging “illegal campaigning” at various polling locations. According to Trump 2020 EDO director Mike Roman, Democrat election officials are banning Trump poll watchers all across the city, as one video shows. Another photo on social media shows a physical barrier, which Roman says Democrat officials are using to keep poll watchers far from the counting tables:
  • For North Carolina Republicans, the Early Vote Was Better Than 2016 or 2012

The Biden campaign feels pretty confident about North Carolina, telling reporters today that by their calculations, Donald Trump will need to win 62 percent of the in-person votes cast in the Tar Heel State today. I’m not sure that the early vote should be all that reassuring to Democrats, as the share of the early vote that is registered Democrats is down compared to four and eight years ago. In 2012, the early vote split 47.5 percent registered Democrats, 31.5 percent registered Republicans, and 20.8 percent no party affiliation. That year, Mitt Romney won the state, 50.3 percent to 48.3...

If you thought the president and his team couldn’t get funnier, then hold onto your sides for this one and swallow anything you have in your mouth so it doesn’t end up all over your keyboard. At the Traverse City, Mich., rally on Monday, the press was confronted with an uncomfortable reality. They were forced to tell the truth in order to access the WiFi at the event. The login was set to “BidenBuiltTheCages” and the password was “TrumpBuiltTheWall!!!” Is this the greatest Trump troll ever, or what? I’m screaming laughing imagining Jim Acosta typing this into his phone while...

I remember in 2016 I wanted to watch the Elections live. As I live in the Netherlands were the news is all on the socialism train, I tried to watch Fox News on Youtube. But there were no happy faces about Trump winning either. I went to Fox Business where people were happy Trump was winning so I watched that all night. But there are other channels to watch too. I included the ones with clickable links down here but some announced their webcast but I cannot see anything up yet: Steven Crowder Styxhexenhammer Fox Business

  • France Says its Forces Killed 50 Islamic Extremists in Mali

French military forces fighting Islamic extremists in West Africa killed more than 50 jihadists and detained four in an operation last week in Mali, French officials said. Defense Minister Florence Parly tweeted Monday night that the French force in the region also confiscated weapons and equipment from the fighters in the operation last Friday, which she said “shows once again that terrorist groups cannot act with impunity.” Drones monitoring the region in northern Mali spotted a convoy of suspected fighters on motorcycles, prompting France to launch the operation, first with airstrikes and then with a ground operation by French commandos,...

Last summer, when the short-lived "Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone" in Seattle renamed itself the "Capitol Hill Occupied Protest," one protester explained to a reporter that the acronym CHOP was a tribute to the Reign of Terror in France more than 200 years ago. "What happened to the people who did not get on board with the French Revolution?" he asked, to which the assembled crowd responded, "CHOPPED!" This scene was just one manifestation of the guillotine fad that has been sweeping America's resurgent progressive left. #Guillotine2020 is an actual hashtag on lefty Twitter, mostly (if hyperbolically) dedicated to the malfeasance...
