The governor of Pennsylvania—shaping up to be the key swing state in the 2020 presidential election—has said local officials will not be intimidated after President Donald Trump said all eyes would be on the state come Tuesday. Both Trump and challenger Joe Biden have made their final push in Pennsylvania, hoping to do enough to secure its 20 electoral votes. Both candidates' path to the White House will likely run through the Keystone State.

Has the Biden camp already given up on a couple of battleground states? The Democratic nominee's campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon has just told the press that they may need to find a way to win without Pennsylvania and Florida. According to the analysts, Republicans are turning out more than expected in the Sunshine State, and it may be hard for Biden to close the gap.

Coronavirus patients can break quarantine Tuesday to vote in person, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed. “Voters have the right to vote, regardless of whether they are sick or in quarantine,” the CDC stressed in safe-voting guidance posted Sunday. While having the right to do so, those infected by the contagion “should take steps to protect poll workers and other voters,” the health agency said. “This includes wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet away from others, and washing your hands or using hand sanitizer before and after voting,” the CDC guidance said.

Kumari, an 18-year-old Indian crested porcupine and one of the Phoenix Zoo's animal ambassadors, recently underwent surgery to remove a cancerous mass that was found in her mammary glands. She is now recovering at the zoo's Animal Care Center. The zoo announced the news on Friday to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is recognized in October, and to remind people that animals can have breast cancer too, according to a news release. Though considered to be rare, there are a few reports of breast cancer in porcupines, the zoo said.

Florida authorities arrested a woman who identified herself as an “anarchist” after she damaged Trump campaign signs on private property. A Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputy was on patrol along the Palm Coast Parkway on Saturday when he saw a woman trying to destroy the signs. The woman identified herself as Tonya McRae, 42, after the deputy told her it was illegal to provide a false name, which she initially provided.
