There was an interesting moment on Monday as the hosts and guest on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” were discussing the coverage of the election. Willie Geist raised the possibility that President Trump could declare victory on election night before all the votes have been counted. Joe Scarborough responded that NBC would simply make a Twitter-like determination and not carry the speech. It would not be treated as obvious news but rather “disinformation” . . . regardless of what has transpired on election day. What is ironic is the Geist had just slammed Trump for making plans to send in lawyers “no...

More than 57% of New Mexico voters have already cast their ballot. "A tremendous number of people have already voted, more than ever before, early,” said KOAT political analyst Brian Sanderoff. To put this in perspective, the previous record for early and absentee voting was 48%. That was set in 2008 when Barack Obama won his first term as president. "This is a clerk's dream. I am loving every minute of this,” said Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover. "Hopefully we can keep this enthusiasm. This is how it should be for every election.” So, why are so many people voting...

Every schoolchild knows that the Declaration of Independence declares that the basic equality of man is “self-evident.” The United States Constitution enumerates what the inalienable rights only alluded to by the Declaration. An inalienable right is one that exists regardless of whether or not it is recognized by the state. For example, you have a right to free speech regardless of whether or not the Constitution recognizes it. Thus any restrictions on free speech are curbs of this pre-existing right, not an actual elimination of that right. One of them is the right to keep and bear arms. Another is...

HOUSTON - Wearing face masks and standing spaced apart, Americans waited at polling stations early on Tuesday to choose a president on an Election Day marked so far by orderliness and mostly short lines, even as major cities braced for potential unrest. The masks and boarded-up stores in many city centers were reminders of two of the issues shaping 2020’s polarizing elections, with COVID-19 still ravaging parts of the country after a summer of sometimes violence-marred protests against police brutality and racism. In New York City, some voting lines snaked around blocks. But in many places lines were short or...

General Mitchell International AirportMilwaukee, Wisconsin7:12 P.M. CSTTHE PRESIDENT: So, thank you very much. We’ve had a very big day. We have two more stops: this one and then Michigan. Grand Rapids, that’s where we ended the last campaign.Tomorrow morning, we’re going to go, probably, over to one of our offices. But for the most part, I think we’ll be — and you’ll be coming with us, I imagine — but we’ll be going over to one of the offices perhaps in Virginia. It’s been an amazing day. It’s been an amazing two days. I don’t think anybody has ever seen crowds...

By now it's pretty obvious that we'll see (& already are seeing) a record amount of voter fraud in this election. I'm sure Dem operatives saw COVID as a Godsend, given that they'd just nominated the weakest candidate in political history; they knew the massive amounts of mail-in voting would give them ample opportunity to ply their trade. By the end of tonight, I predict Trump will be leading in enough states to equate to far above 270 votes. But with all the mail-in ballots that will continue to roll in over the next several days, the question is whether...

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. — The Secretary of State’s office says the system should be back up after human error caused major problems at polling places across Spalding County today, but many precincts are still dealing with issues. Officials say workers in Spalding County incorrectly loaded information onto the poll pads Tuesday morning so none of the machines were working. Tuesday morning, a Spalding County election official said the problems were caused by a glitch in the system. The county rushed thousands of provisional ballots to each precinct so voting could continue, but many voters spent much or the morning standing...

Before Joe Biden became the presidential pick for the Democratic Party in the 2020 election, many of his opponents weighed-in on whether or not they think the Electoral College should be replaced with a national popular vote in future presidential contests. Here is a small sample of some of their responses:Sen. Corey Booker (D-NJ): “I believe very simply that, in presidential elections, the person with the most votes should be the president of the United States.”Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA): “Every vote matters — and that’s why I have called for an end to the Electoral College in favor of the national...

A Pennsylvania "cookie poll," which has accurately predicted the last three elections, has foretold an epic landslide for Election Day. Pollsters typically use phone calls, emails, and text messages to gather data, while others even use cookies. While simply offering candidate-themed cookies without asking the purchaser any other questions, the sales appear to offer a unique view on how the public would vote that regular polling methods may miss.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — There have been reports of technical issues at some West Michigan polling places Tuesday morning. The chairwoman of Ward 2 Precinct 41 at North Park Elementary in Grand Rapids said the tabulator is down but the city is working to resolve the issue. While the machine is down, all ballots will be held in an auxiliary bin and will be counted after it’s fixed. Grand Rapids City Clerk Joel Hondorp noted if your ballot is cast into an auxiliary bin, you can not change it later or correct mistakes. Polling officials at Ward 3 Precinct...
