The two largest U.S. flight attendant unions, representing more than 75,000 workers, endorsed Democrat Joe Biden on Tuesday ahead of the U.S. presidential election next week. The unions have been pressing Congress and Republican U.S. President Donald Trump to back $25 billion in additional payroll assistance to prevent 32,000 airline furloughs. The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, representing the 27,000 American Airlines flight attendants, and the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA that represents about 50,000 workers at 20 airlines, said in separate statements they were endorsing Biden.

On Thursday, President Donald J. Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden faced off for the final 2020 presidential debate where Biden was challenged on multiple fronts by the incumbent President. Probably most shockingly, Trump got Biden to admit on-air that he would flat-out destroy the oil and gas industry. Trump asked Biden, “Would you close down the oil industry?” Biden responded, “I would transition from the oil industry, yes.” The moderator asked, “Why would you do that,” to which Biden responded, “The oil industry pollutes significantly… because it has to be replaced by renewable energy over time, over time....

An explosion at a religious seminary in Pakistan’s northern city of Peshawar has killed at least eight people and injured 136 others. The deadly blast took place at about 8.30 am at the Jamia Zuberia religious school in Dir Colony, where about 500 students were gathered to hear a lecture by influential cleric Rahimullah Haqqani. Most of them were between 20 and 30 years old and from the Khyber Pakthunkwa and Balochistan regions of Pakistan, as well as some from Afghanistan. A police superintendent, Waqar Azeem Kharal, said the explosion had been caused by at least five kilograms of high-quality...

Phony fears about Democrats are already leading to a pre-election spike in gun sales. And now the Supreme Court is poised to strike down the insufficient gun laws we already have. Barrett is an originalist who believes the Constitution must be interpreted exactly as the Founders intended. “Her views and how she thinks about the Second Amendment are not grounded in modern day reality,” Parsons told the Daily Beast. “She doesn’t give any attention to the cause of modern-day gun violence. Looking at the intent of the framers when there were no assault weapons is very inappropriate in an age...

Coronavirus can significantly impact brain function, causing mental decline equivalent to the brain aging 10 years, according to an alarming new study. A study of more than 84,000 people in the UK found that the virus left even those deemed recovered with “chronic cognitive consequences” that it compared to dropping 8.5 IQ points. “People who had recovered, including those no longer reporting symptoms, exhibited significant cognitive deficits,” the study published on MedRxiv said.

Leonard Shoulders, 33, had been waiting on a bus at 3rd Avenue across from Saint Barnabas Hospital on Saturday when the sidewalk caved in Surveillance footage shows him falling into the dark hole Shoulders was unable to get out of the hole for more than 30 minutes He refused to scream because there were rats in the pit, worried they would crawl into his mouth Surveillance footage shows the moment that Shoulders falls into the sidewalk, trying to hold on and ultimately plummet 12 to 15ft. 'The Full Vacate Order is still in effect, and a construction fence has been...

President Donald Trump has taken a narrow lead in Pennsylvania, a Trafalgar Group survey released on Tuesday — one week from Election Day — found. The survey, taken October 24-25, among 1,077 respondents, found Trump carrying a slight edge in the Keystone State, garnering 48.4 percent to former Vice President Joe Biden’s 47.6 percent. The results, which include leaners, show 2.2 percent backing Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen and one percent of voters remaining undecided. The survey’s margin of error is +/- 2.91 percent.

Has there been a case where a Republican was expected to win the presidency, and the nation was surprised/flabbergasted by the election of the Democrat candidate? I am hearing lots of liberals express genuine fear/anxiety about the upcoming election (in contrast to 2016 where they assumed victory). I see the liberal fear and anxiety as a good thing, as it indicates they know (whether consciously or unconsciously) they are greatly outnumbered. Of course I plan to vote, on November 3rd, in person. Just wondering how the current 'feeling' in America relates to previous examples.

There doesn’t appear to be an end in sight for the hundreds of millions Bloomberg News owner Michael Bloomberg is willing to spend to buy the U.S. election for Democrats. The liberal billionaire’s new schtick is elevating Democratic candidates down-ballot who are like-minded with his extremist vision on climate change. Specifically, Bloomberg is dumping an “additional $20 million into this election cycle, flooding the airwaves in North Carolina, Texas and Arizona to promote down-ballot candidates who share his views on climate,” according to Axios. The outlet noted that this cash dump is “on top of the $100 million he pledged...

The nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court would make her, if confirmed, the sixth Roman Catholic on the nine-person court. The Catholic Church has already contributed much to the United States’ legal system - including “the whole idea of law in general,” Fr. Pius Pietrzyk, OP, told CNA. “It’s the development of canon law (the law that governs the Church) that gives both the United States and Europe their modern notions of law..." While aspects of canon law were present since the early days of the Church, the use of the term ‘canon law’, as...

Twenty-four hours hadn't elapsed after pedo Hunter Biden's laptop hit the headlines, and the Leftists were already scoffing, "Nice try. Nothing to see here. Great big nothingburger. Failed again, MAGA idiots. What else ya got?". And this from the party of #metoo, all women should be believed. Uh-huh. To further my angst, I awoke this morning to Medium's daily email promoting an article titled A Radical Proposal for Dealing with Trump Supporters After Biden Wins. Hey, my MAGA buddies! How do you like needing to be dealt with? Not so much, eh. I like it just about as much as...

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is leaving the door open about his football future despite previously saying he planned on heading to the NFL following this his junior season. Lawrence, the 6-foot-6 passer with the flowing hair, is considered the likely consensus No. 1 pick in next spring's NFL draft.

The Boston Herald formally endorsed President Trump for reelection one week from Election Day, describing Joe Biden’s (D) platform as “a risky love letter to social justice warriors and those who believe capitalism is the root of all evil.” In a Tuesday endorsement penned by the editorial staff, the Herald recognized that the left’s devotion has been, solely, to remove Trump from office — an objective it has held since 2016. While Biden “allegedly offers a return to ‘normalcy,’” the Herald asked, “But, what’s normal in 2020?” “Biden’s platform is a risky love letter to social justice warriors and those...

A few weeks ago, I was talking to a relatively high-level sports executive about the election, which is to say we were discussing something terrible Donald Trump had said or done. We agreed that Trump was likely to lose. “But he could always still win — even Nate Silver says that,” I remarked. The executive then said something that stunned me, though the more and more I think about it, the more sense it makes. “If Trump wins, or if he refuses to concede, I’m telling you right now: There won’t be any sports for a month,” he said. “Maybe...

The Wreckage of Socialism is Not Just Economic I grew up in a socialist society, but I’ve found it hard sometimes to talk about socialism in America. When people like me identify the blatant failures of socialism, its advocates often argue that the socialist countries we’re talking about are “not really socialist.” In other words, no true socialism has ever existed. Hence, there is a need to practice true socialism here in America. The Reality of Socialism I think socialism should be defined based on historical facts, not on utopian fantasies that exist only in its campaigners’ heads. It’s like a...

ATLANTA — An exclusive Channel 2 Action News/Landmark Communications poll shows President Donald Trump has expanded his lead in Georgia. The poll of 500 likely voters took place on Oct. 21, just before the final debate. It shows Trump leading 49% to former Vice President Joe Biden’s 45%. About 4% of Georgia voters remain undecided. That also falls within the poll’s margin of error, which is 4.4%. So it remains a statistical dead heat.

New York’s sanguinary summer lingers, even though November is fast approaching, with at least seven more city residents gunned down over the weekend, including a fatally wounded tourist. Don’t blame the cops. They’re doing what they’ve been told to do, which amounts to running in circles, now that Gotham’s political class has abandoned one of the most effective urban-policing strategies ever devised — largely because it was too harsh on criminals. Now New York is reaping the whirlwind. Or, as The New York Times reported over the weekend: “More than 1,515 people have been shot so far this year, twice...

SEATTLE — The Seattle City Council is considering new legislation that would create a legal loophole that would made substance addiction, mental illness or poverty a valid legal defense for nearly all misdemeanor crimes committed in the city. The council's consideration of the plan has been largely shielded from public view and there has been virtually no public discussion about the proposal. Scott Lindsay, the former public safety advisor for the city, said Seattle would be in a class of its own if it ultimately enacted the ordinance. "I'm not aware of any legislation like this anywhere in the United...
