Morning "My grace is sufficient for thee." 2 Corinthians 12:9 If none of God's saints were poor and tried, we should not know half so well the consolations of divine grace. When we find the wanderer who has not where to lay his head, who yet can say, "Still will I trust in the Lord;" when we see the pauper starving on bread and water, who still glories in Jesus; when we see the bereaved widow overwhelmed in affliction, and yet having faith in Christ, oh! what honour it reflects on the gospel. God's grace is illustrated and magnified in...

Joe Scarborough says it's wrong to describe Barack Obama as a "conservative sell-out." Agreed! He was and is a hardcore leftist who pushed the country as much as he could in that direction. On today's Morning Joe, chatting with former Obama White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, Scarborough made an impassioned plea, suggesting that "after four years of Donald Trump, maybe we need to go back to square one with the Obama administration and then move forward from there."Get the rest of the story, and view the video here.

World Health Organization director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Monday that the “stigma” surrounding coronavirus was “more dangerous” than the illness itself, and advised people to “calm down.” “Stigma, to be honest, is more dangerous than the virus itself. Fear and panic are dangerous,” he said, as reported by the San Diego Union-Tribune. “It’s fine to be concerned and worried, but let’s calm down and do the right things.” Officials were optimistic about the global effort to contain the spread of the illness: Of the 62 countries affected by COVID-19, 55 have fewer than 100 cases. Only four countries have more...

From Hawaii to Pennsylvania, states are scrambling to blunt the impact, with roughly 700,000 people at risk of losing benefits unless they meet certain work, training or school requirements. They've filed a multi-state lawsuit, expanded publicly funded job training, developed pilot programs and doubled down efforts to reach vulnerable communities, including the homeless, rural residents and people of color.Richard Butler poses for a portrait in an apartment that a friend is letting him and his fiance live in on Chicago's Southside. Maybe I should say that South Carolina Congressman Jim Clyburn has. According to exit polls, 61% said Clyburn's endorsement of Biden was an "important factor" in their decision, and 27% said it was "the most important factor." Clyburn explained Biden is his friend and has been a reliable vote for government programs that blacks like. He also argued that with Biden on the ticket, reelection prospects for congressmen and congresswomen running for election down ticket would be better. "We need to keep the House speakership under Nancy Pelosi," said Clyburn. Now, the whole Democratic establishment is piling on to endorse...

Ok, so, who’s the biggest flop of all time in presidential politics? – In 1980, all of the nation’s punditry made huge fun of Texan John Connally for spending the then-princely sum of $6 million in the early GOP primary races before dropping out without having won a single delegate. He was widely considered at that time to be the biggest loser in modern presidential political history. Boy, Connally sure doesn’t hold that dubious title anymore. That trophy got taken in 2016, when Jeb! Bush and his supporting super PAC frittered away a grand total of around $300 million. For...

"I, Daniel, observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years. So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications" (Dan. 9:2-3). God’s sovereignty doesn’t eliminate the need for prayer. Have you ever wondered if it's biblical to pray for things that God has already promised in His Word to do? Is it proper to pray, say, for the salvation of sinners, knowing that God will redeem all the...

China’s efforts to contain the coronavirus by initially shutting down factories and keeping workforces at home could have global ramifications for public health around the world, including regarding diabetes, blood pressure, headaches and fevers. As the world’s top producer of active pharmaceutical ingredients, including the ones used to manage those conditions, China’s disrupted factory output has the potential to upset global supply chains, and regulators have been watching with concern. The United States’ Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last Thursday announced that one drug was already in short supply after production of its active pharmaceutical ingredient was affected by the...

South Carolina mom Debra Harrell worked at McDonald's. She couldn't afford day care for Regina, her 9-year-old daughter, so she took her to work. But Regina was bored at McDonald's. One day, she asked if she could just play in the neighborhood park instead. "I felt safe there," tells me in my new video, "because I was with my friends and their parents." "She had her cellphone, a pocketbook with money in it," says Debra. "She had everything she needed." Regina was happy. Debra was happy. But one parent asked Regina where her mom was, and then called the police....

The coronavirus has evolved into two major types, with differing transmission rates and geographical distribution, according to a study published in the National Science Review on Tuesday. A group of Chinese scientists analysed 103 coronavirus genomes and identified mutations in 149 sites across the strains. They found that one type, which they called the L type, was more prevalent than the other, the S type, meaning it was more infectious. They also found that the L type had evolved from the S type, and that the L type was far more widespread before January 7 and in Wuhan, ground zero...

American Alan Gross, a prisoner in Cuba for five years during the Obama administration, is accusing Sen. Bernie Sanders of commending the communist country when he came to visit him behind bars. Sanders visited Cuba as part of a congressional delegation in 2014, along with Sens. Heidi Heitkamp and Jon Tester. During the one-hour meeting, Sanders told the prisoner that he didn't understand why others criticized Cuba, Gross said in an interview with NPR. "He said, quote: 'I don't know what's so wrong with this country,' " Gross recalled. Sanders' campaign declined to comment about the meeting with Gross, and...

Will Turkish President Erdogan's Syrian refugee hardball game with the EU Produce a Change in Francis' Pro-Migrant Bias? Francis aspires to be the chaplain of the EU's secular City of the World. A change might be anticipated in Francis' unlimited pro-migrant policy if Erdogan is able to bring sufficient pressure to bear on EU planners that they have to modify their open borders policy to be more like Hungary while continuing to crow the open borders line. Francis has taken a long-term lease for Trump and conservative Americans to live rent-free in his head that can be expected to last...
