Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin brushed off concerns from Jewish Democrats on Wednesday about New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani’s refusal to condemn the slogan “globalize the intifada.” Martin, elected to lead the DNC in February, suggested that his party welcomes users of the chant associated with violent uprisings against Israel, in an interview with PBS. “You know, there’s no candidate in this party that I agree 100% of the time with, to be honest with you,” Martin said, when asked by “PBS NewsHour” host Amna Nawaz about Mamdani’s repeated defense of the rallying cry for anti-Israel protesters....

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Beat,” House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) responded to a question on if there’s room in the party for New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s (D) views on democratic socialism and Israel by saying that “the bigger the tent, the more likely it is that we can reach the greatest number of Americans.” Jeffries began by saying that Mamdani’s platform on affordability is “very provocative…I look forward to sitting down and talking to him about his plans to actually implement that platform, to deal with some of the challenges that the communities...

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) offered his thoughts on Democrats’ losses in this year’s elections in a Sunday thread on the social platform X. “We are out of touch with the crisis of meaning/purpose fueling MAGA,” Murphy said in the thread. “We refuse to pick big fights. Our tent is too small.” The Connecticut Senator noted multiple issues he thinks the American left is struggling with when it comes to reaching voters, including having “never fully grappled with the wreckage of fifty years of neoliberalism” and moving “past the way people are feeling (alone, impotent, overwhelmed) and straight to uninspiring solutions.”...

LOCKLAND, Ohio -- The mayor of a small village near Cincinnati says he needs help from the federal government after a surge of illegal immigration primarily from Mauritania that nearly exceeds the local population and that he says is "unsustainable."... There are multiple apartment blocks that officials and residents say are taken over by Mauritanians, who are said to be packed beyond capacity in apartments. Village Administrator Doug Wehmeyer told Fox News Digital recently that it is leading to around $150,000 in losses for the village, as the illegal immigrants do not pay taxes and are displacing local residents.... "...a...

The Biden-Harris administration announced it would not be extending parole for the hundreds of thousands of non-citizens enrolled in a hotly debated migrant flight program, but border hawks say the tough declaration likely won’t lead to any of them being removed from the country. The migrants who entered the United States on two-year parole via the Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan and Venezuelan (CHNV) program will not see their status renewed when it ends, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed to the Daily Caller ...

The recent wave of pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses came on suddenly and shocked people across the nation. But the political tactics underlying some of the demonstrations were the result of months of training, planning and encouragement by longtime activists and left-wing groups. At Columbia University, in the weeks and months before police took down encampments at the New York City campus and removed demonstrators occupying an academic building, student organizers began consulting with groups such as the National Students for Justice in Palestine, veterans of campus protests and former Black Panthers. They researched past protests over Columbia’s expansion into...

A Virginia mom has been found dead in a makeshift tent at a campground, and authorities have arrested a man in New Jersey who drove off from the scene in her car in her slaying. The body of Cara Abbruscato, 41, was found around 3 p.m. Saturday underneath a tarp that was tied to a tree to make a tent in Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, the Fairfax County Police Department announced (FCPD). Abbruscato had stab wounds and lacerations to her upper body, but an autopsy will confirm the official cause of death, police said at a press conference...

A new ban on daytime homeless camping legally took effect Friday in Portland, but one wouldn’t know it by walking around the City of Roses. Tents spilled over sidewalks and those who have made their homes on public property say the new policy isn’t likely to create meaningful change. “It’s bulls—,” Michael, who has been homeless off and on since the ‘90s, told Fox News bluntly. “I’m tired of moving. They’re gonna have to make me move.” The city council passed the ordinance with a 3-1 vote last month, changing city code to only allow people to camp in nonrestricted...

MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace said Tuesday on her show “Deadline” that the Republican Party was becoming “pup tent” size by bowing to “petty, petulant brat” former President Donald Trump. Wallace said, “President Joe Biden has soared to a 63% approval rating, proving that shots in arms, COVID relief, and not being an insane egomaniac isn’t just good for the country, but it polls well, too.”

Diehard supporters of Sen. Bernard Sanders stormed media tents and staged a sit-in Tuesday night minutes after Hillary Clinton officially claimed the party’s presidential nomination, injecting another round of drama into the convention and pouring cold water on claims Democrats are fully uniting behind their White House nominee. Hundreds of Sanders backers, most carrying signs backing their candidate, conducted what seemed to be a well-coordinated march from the Wells Fargo Center to the media tents just outside the arena. They said that party officials were trying to confiscate Sanders signs inside Wells Fargo

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is world famous as "America's Toughest Sheriff". Inmates weak pink underwear, eat bologna sandwiches that cost only 40 cents per meal (and for which Joe charges them!) . In Summer inmates bake in Tent City, which recently celebrated its 20th year. When Sheriff Joe put up flags in prisoner's cells, he warned if any are defaced that inmate would get only bread and water for a full week -- and 38 inmates have been punished so far. But Joe also has a heart of gold. He spends a huge amount of time helping animals, giving indoor space to...

by John HillStand With Arizona A pro-illegal alien activist group announced what they promised to be a "massive" protest to "demand" that Sheriff Joe Arpaio's famous Tent City be "shut down", but then chickened out when Arpaio invited them to his office to discuss it. "Puente", a left-wing, Soros-funded group which advocates for illegal alien amnesty and against Arizona immigration law S.B. 1070, declared their intention to "take on" the "racist Sheriff Joe" and show they are "unafraid". But that all changed after this Sheriff Joe Facebook post: Evidently Puente does not like my 19 year old successful tent...

Big Government highlights this Washington Post report today: An infant’s cries rang through the Occupy DC encampment in McPherson Square Wednesday morning, and when a group went to investigate they found only a baby girl alone in a tent, wearing a onesie and mittens… D.C. Fire/EMS workers checked on the girl around 10:30 a.m. She was fine, according to Sgt. David Schlosser, a U.S. Park Police spokesman, and is now with the District’s child protective services department. About 30 minutes later, Schlosser said, a man returned to the encampment and identified himself as the baby’s father. Police arrested the man,...

NORMAN, Okla. — Members of Occupy Norman marched quietly along a sidewalk in downtown Norman on Wednesday, despite being threatened and having a tent vandalized earlier in the day. Peyton Gates said an irate man yelled at Occupy protesters currently camping at Andrews Park. “He threw the hammer at us,” she said. “He also said, ‘I’ll do a lot worse than that.” While Gates and other Occupy Norman members did not see the man vandalize the tent, they said he made statements of admission to them and threatened them. “Are you ready to die for your liberalism” was a statement...

While Occupy protests in the US have been marred by violent clashes with the police, demonstrators in Melbourne have taken a sillier approach to dealing with authorities. In a video posted on YouTube on December 3, a troupe of police officers is seen approaching the camp in Treasury Gardens, presumably to issue move-on notices. But as they near, the protesters suddenly transform into "tent monsters". Wearing their temporary abodes as costumes, they run circles around the police, giggling hysterically at their prank. When the police realise there are no real tents set up in the park they turn around to...

BOSTON (CBS) – Occupy Boston protesters brought a huge winterized tent to the edge of Dewey Square early Monday afternoon, but were blocked by police. Occupiers were left standing outside their camp with the military-style, 500-pound tent, which was tightly wrapped up in plastic and wheeled in on a cart. The peaceful standoff began at noon as expected. City officials handed out fliers to the occupiers saying the tents violate fire safety and building codes. New building materials are prohibited and the protesters would need to apply for a permit. The standoff ended about a half-hour later as the protesters...

The rocky economic recovery and stagnant unemployment rate have led to a surge in the homeless seeking shelter in shanties and tents nationwide, experts say. There's no official estimate on how many tent cities exist but, experts say, nearly every state has one and the presence of such communities is soaring. "In just about every major city, there are tent cities," said Michael Stoop, a community organizer for the National Coalition for the Homeless. "Unfortunately, we're in a growth industry and the numbers are going to continue." Stoop and his organization began formally tracking tent cities in 2010 but the...
