On Monday’s “Alex Marlow Show,” host and Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow discussed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent rebuffing host Margaret Brennan on inflation Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” Bessent said, “When we were here in March, you said there was going to be big inflation. There hasn’t been any inflation. Actually, the inflation numbers are the best in four years. So why don’t we stop trying to say this could happen, wait and see what does happen.” Marlow said, “This is the exact same thing with the egg prices. We were told the egg prices are not coming down and...

Vermont Gov. Phil Scott (R) vowed Wednesday to veto a proposal to ban in guns in bars if it reaches his desk. VTDigger reported that the proposal is a charter change for Burlington contained in S.131 and it cleared the Vermont Senate in April. However, S.131 only passed the Senate by 17 votes, which is not enough to overcome the veto Gov. Scott promises to use against it. Gov. Scott believes the ban would be onerous on bar owners as it would put them in the position of enforcing it. He said, ““Like, who’s going to stand at the door...

Newly-elected NRSC Chair Tim Scott is hiring Stephen DeMaura, a huge Trump hater & Mike Pence's 2024 campaign manager, to be the Senatorial Committee's Executive Director. DeMaura will have massive control over which Senate candidates to fund. Scott promised to help President Trump fulfill his promises, and only a day after getting voted to lead the GOP Senate's bank account, he's hiring a never-Trumper who will only help Neocon establishment candidates win. WHAT IS GOING ON? @SenatorTimScott . This is the most disgusting 180° in the history of 180°s. Why pick a backstabber to direct Senate funding?

Senate Minority Whip John Thune will be the new Republican Senate leader and the majority leader of the upper chamber in the new Congress. In January, he will succeed Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who is the longest-serving party leader in Senate history. Sources told Fox News Digital that no candidate reached a majority on the first secret ballot. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., received the least amount of votes and was knocked out of the race. The second secret ballot was between only Thune and Cornyn. The senator received at least 27 votes from the 53-member conference during a...

In preparation for today's secret U.S. Senate vote for the next Majority Leader, I wrote to my state's two senators -- Tom Cotton and John Boozman -- and politely urged them to vote for Florida's Rick Scott, the least objectionable of the three choices. Cotton -- best known for a pissy demeanor and ability to snipe low-hanging political fruit -- has so far only responded with a mechanical "thanks for writing" e-mail. Boozman -- with a "D" Liberty Score from Conservative Review -- responded with the following bland and non-committal answer (emphasis mine): Thank you for contacting me regarding the...

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) threw his support behind Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) to succeed Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) as the upper chamber’s GOP leader. “I will be voting for my Florida colleague @ScottforFlorida to be our next Senate GOP leader,” Rubio posted on the social platform X. The race is set between Scott, Senate Republican Whip John Thune (S.D.) and Sen. John Cornyn (Texas), who served as Senate GOP whip during President-elect Trump’s first two years in the White House. Scott, whose bid to replace the outgoing Senate leader has been seen as a long shot, has gained momentum in...

Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri announced his support for Sen. John Cornyn of Texas on Friday in the race to replace Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell. At this point, this is the first public endorsement for Cornyn. Cornyn is running to succeed McConnell alongside Republican Sens. Rick Scott of Florida and John Thune of South Dakota. "I'm backing John Cornyn for majority leader," Hawley said in a statement. "In the last two years, nobody has done more to win back the majority than he has."

Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that former President Donald Trump will have a very good election day. Host Dana Bash said, “You are trying to turn out black and local voters, among others. Polls we’ve seen in the last 24 hours show evidence that late deciders are breaking for Kamala Harris. Do you think Trump’s closing days his rhetoric are hurting those voters?” Scott said, “I will just tell you the voters I sat down with in Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday, Ohio on Wednesday and Philly on Thursday African-American, Hispanics, Jewish voters all...

Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) said Friday on CNN’s “Inside Politics” that the changing climate is causing hurricanes to become more severe when discussing the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Host Dana Bash said, “This storm was 420 miles wide at one point, which appears to be part of a trend where storms are simply bigger than they once were, perhaps because of the changing climate. What are your thoughts on that?” Scott said, “Who knows but you’re right. Irma was bigger than our state. This was gigantic. And do you know, the other thing that it seems like what’s happening, is...

Fox News’s Harris Faulkner criticized ABC’s Rachel Scott for causing an “emotional” start to former President Trump’s interview at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention on Wednesday. Faulkner said the moderators should have welcomed Trump on stage and acknowledged that just weeks prior he had undergone an assassination attempt. Scott opened the question-and-answer session with Trump by citing his past comments about Black people, asking him why Black voters should trust him. Trump shot back and said he didn’t think he’d ever been asked a question “in such a horrible manner.” “He walks out onstage and not a...

President Trump reportedly has a very short veep list, and at the top is Senator Tim Scott—a politician who has never truly embraced the America First, Make America Great Again movement. He’s tried to ride the fence, offering occasional support here and there—he’s not downright awful, but his support always feels conditional and without any real passion or purpose. So, the question now is, did Tim Scott just disqualify himself as a possible VP with his latest appearance on ABC News? Many say yes and hope this marks the end of the tiresome “Scott hype.” So, what happened? Well, Tim...

Sen. Tim Scott appears determined to take himself out of the running to be Donald Trump’s vice-presidential pick. In an interview on CNN’s State of the Union with host Jon Karl, Scott said he stood by his decision to certify the 2020 presidential election, despite widespread evidence of voter fraud that tipped the election in Biden’s favor. Here is a transcript of the exchange: JON KARL: OK. Senator, the day before that violent mob attacked the Capitol, you put out a statement explaining your decision to certify Joe Biden’s election victory. Do you stand by that? You were not one...

Governor Kathy Hochul urged New Yorkers 'not to excuse' the state's role in slavery as she set up the task force at the end of last year. Republican Sen. Rick Scott (FL) called on President Joe Biden’s cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment on Thursday, following revelations from Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report about Biden’s deteriorating mental state. “This report labels Biden as a ‘well meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.’ That does not describe someone who should be the Commander in Chief of our armed forces and the defender of American freedoms,” Scott said in a post to X.

MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Wednesday on “Morning Joe” that Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) humiliated himself Tuesday night by supporting former President Donald Trump after the New Hampshire primary. Sharpton said, “Obviously Trump winning by double digits was not unexpected. I think Haley did a little better than some of the polls had, but she didn’t make it. I think that the fact that she pledged to keep running is in many ways the ultimate insult to Donald Trump because he wants everyone to just prostrate and bow to him and say now it’s over. What he’s really concerned about...
