A 25-year-old Austin man returned to the United States from Mexico over the weekend after being deported despite telling federal immigration officials he was a U.S. citizen, according to his attorneys. Brian José Morales García was deported in April after a traffic stop in Fredericksburg. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Gillespie County sheriff's deputies who pulled over his work vehicle did not believe him when he said he was a U.S. citizen and contacted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Federal immigration officials disputed that Morales García was a U.S. citizen and accused him of entering the country illegally,...

Pierre Damas Bel, who arrived in the U.S. in 2024 to reunite with his parents who had fled Haiti, got out of his vehicle on an interstate in Springfield, Ohio, and walked into traffic, law enforcement officials told local news outlets. The Ohio State Highway Patrol told ABC News it is investigating Bel's death. In a statement, the agency confirmed that Bel parked on Interstate 70, exited his Toyota and entered the westbound lanes of the highway. Bel was one of the more than 350,000 Haitian immigrants who lost TPS status after the Supreme Court in June cleared the way...

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) snared nearly 2,200 illegal migrants — including convicted murderers, rapists and drug traffickers — in a monthlong sweep across New York state, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced Tuesday. Agents nabbed 2,197 people between July 27 and Aug. 29 as part of “Operation Rotten Apple” — which Mullin noted was conducted “with no help” from either Mayor Zohran Mamdani or Gov. Kathy Hochul. “Operation Rotten Apple did what sanctuary politicians in New York City and the state of New York refuse to do: made the Empire State safer,” Mullin said in a statement. “We won’t...

Chinese illegal immigrants are obtaining commercial driver’s licenses (CDL) and landing jobs in the U.S. trucking industry with support from a Chinese government-linked network, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation discovered. The Chinese American Trucker Organization USA Inc. (CATOU) is a New York-based nonprofit trade organization registered as a 501(c)6 that has allegedly helped over 1,000 Chinese students obtain CDLs and has a 100% pass rate, according to its business filings, social media posts and website. Videos posted on social media by an individual who crossed the U.S. southern border illegally shows they were able to rapidly obtain California CDLs...

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin on Monday announced an inter-agency crackdown on fraud in the trucking industry. The pair appeared alongside White House Fraud Task Force Vice Chairman Andrew Ferguson and other officials in a joint press conference in Detroit, Mich. "Today, what we are announcing is an emergency executive shutdown of 110 driving schools," Duffy said. The Transportation secretary further indicated that many driving schools had credentialed unqualified drivers and many more lacked proper facilities to train truck drivers. "We also have shut down 160 additional schools," he added, indicating that they lacked proper...

A multi-agency operation in Arizona’s Yuma Sector led to the arrest of 95 illegal alien truck drivers earlier this month, striking at the heart of human and drug smuggling operations at the U.S. southern border. All 95 drivers had acquired state-issued commercial driver’s licenses; 76 from California, six from New York and the rest from a handful of other states, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The apprehensions continue to demonstrate the high volume of narcotics and human trafficking smuggling operations that are alive and well at the border — even as immigration numbers have plummeted in recent months.

A Honduran agitator arrested earlier this year at an anti-ICE protest in Southern California was busted by Homeland Security agents Friday on charges of illegally registering to vote — part of a crackdown on suspected election fraud in California. Darwin Jonathan Rivera Flores, 30, a Honduran national living in the San Fernando Valley, is accused of two felonies related to his false claims of US citizenship to complete voter registration forms, prosecutors say. Rivera Flores’ early-morning arrest outside a health-care center in Ventura is just the beginning of a war on suspected election fraud that has the full support of...

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration is preparing to revoke the business and tourism visas of up to 200,000 foreigners who have applied for or are currently seeking asylum status in the United States. If it happens, the move would be the largest single mass revocation of visas in U.S. history and would likely face legal challenges. Unless challenged or revised, the State Department is expected to announce in the coming weeks the revocation of so-called B1 and B2 visas issued between 2016 and 2026 whose holders have sought asylum or are now seeking asylum, according to State Department documents...

...The taxpayer-funded housing program sets aside millions for families “targeted” by federal immigration enforcement—and says immigration status does not have to be disclosed. Even worse? L.A. County diverted $5 million originally approved for wildfire victims to pay these illegal aliens. ... L.A. County did not merely place wildfire victims and immigrant households inside the same newly created program. It took money already assembled specifically for wildfire rent relief—and redirected half of it to households claiming hardship from federal immigration enforcement. Salman Elmi was awarded “Outstanding Refugee” by Minnesota. He was just charged for a $1 million Medicaid fraud scheme. The award was given by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, which ironically administers Medicaid payments. Today, a DHS spokesperson sent me this statement: “Salman Elmi’s alleged actions are disturbing and do not reflect the goal of the Outstanding Refugee Awards. They also do not represent Minnesota’s refugee community. We are surrounded by neighbors, coworkers, employees and friends, with powerful stories of resilience in the face of difficult circumstances, who are showing leadership in small as well as large ways to...

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is cutting illegal immigrants off from getting kickbacks from four major refundable tax credit programs – in a move that could save taxpayers an estimated $3 billion. The Treasury Department and IRS unveiled new rules on Wednesday to tighten the requirements for the adoption, child, American opportunity, and earned income tax credits so that only US citizens, US nationals, and qualified aliens can get them. “Under President Trump, the days of illegal aliens collecting taxpayer-funded benefits are over. The federal law is clear, and Treasury is enforcing it,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a...

Our new report on the size, scope and cost of illegal immigration in NJ is now out. We’ve found a state so hopelessly compromised that we’ve officially requested federal intervention from the DOJ, DHS and House Judiciary Committee. A staggering 8.2B is being spent every single year on 737,000 illegal invaders in New Jersey. And it’s costing each of you $1,700 a year! If you rent, you can add another $1,000 annually onto that figure from illegals driving up housing costs. What’s even crazier is this is all despite an overall drop in illegals due to deportations and self deportations!...
