SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- U.S. prosecutors filed a criminal charge Wednesday against the CEO of Bumble Bee Foods as part of an ongoing investigation into price fixing in the packaged seafood industry. Three other people, including a former StarKist tuna company executive, have previously been charged. Stephen Hodge, a former senior vice president for sales at StarKist, pleaded guilty last year...

I am done. This site has broken me. I am as staunch a conservative as you will find. After returning from Iraq, injured and upset, I turned here and found a welcoming community that shared my thoughts. I am a proud Gadsden Flag waiving man of the Tea Party movement. But because I don't think Sarah Palin is as historically important as other GOP women in the past, I am now considered an idiot, a RINO, ass-kisser and whatever negative connotation you can throw my way. This site has changed so much since that dictator want to be became President...

Friend –A few months ago, I had the privilege of calling four people to tell them they had been selected to have dinner with President Obama.Everyone I spoke to said the same thing:”You’re kidding.”Of course, I wasn’t. The campaign is holding these dinners for supporters like you whenever we can. They’re a chance for some of the people who are building this campaign to connect with the President, and a way for the President to meet you, too. In a few weeks, I’ll make four more calls, and you could be one of them. Donate $5 or more today and...

An Army "investigating officer" has banished evidence about the controversy over President Obama's eligibility – or lack thereof – to be commander-in-chief from a pending hearing for a career military doctor who announced he is refusing orders until Obama documents his constitutional status. "In my view our constitutional jurisprudence allows Congress alone, and not a military judicial body, to put the president's credentials on trial," wrote Daniel J. Driscoll in a memorandum determining what evidence the defense for Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin will be allowed to explore at next week's hearing. "It is my opinion the discovery items pertaining to...

Lunocet swimmers have already hit about eight miles per hour, almost twice the speed of Michael Phelps at his fastest The human body does many things well, but swimming isn't one of them. We're embarrassingly inefficient in the water, able to convert just 3 or 4 percent of our energy into forward motion. (Even with swim fins, we're only 10 to 15 percent more efficient.) But a new, dolphin-inspired fin promises to fuel the biggest change in human-powered swimming in decades, putting beyond-Olympian speeds within reach of just about anyone. Culminating decades of research, engineer and inventor Ted Ciamillo, an...

France disallows the British proposal for five "conditions" France disallows the proposals of Great Britain to enumerate five "conditions" to which Iraq should satisfy to avoid a war, declared Thursday the Foreign Minister, Domenica de Villepin."Elles do not answer the questions put by the international community: it is not a question to grant a few additional days to Iraq before engaging in the recourse to the force, but to advance resolutely in the way of peaceful disarmament traced by the inspections which are a credible alternative to the war ", declared Mr. de Villepin in a communiqué.La Great Britain...
