Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said that feds probing Rep. Ilhan Omar assembled a “large case” dealing with multiple people. “This isn’t just a case that’s targeting one individual. This is a large case that we have presented to the DOJ, and the DOJ is leading the investigations,” he told Fox News on Friday. Mullin said Homeland Security Investigations agents — who searched Omar’s Washington, DC, home on Oct. 12 — “did a lot of investigation to be able to present the case to them.” “And I’ll just say this again: We’re enforcing our nation’s laws, and we’re going to...

While the world makes entertainment out of death and darkness, Almighty God offers ETERNAL LIFE through His risen Son! Jesus declared, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” (John 11:25). His resurrection is God's glorious declaration that Christ's righteous sacrifice for our sins is finished and sufficient forever! He is the only Savior, the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life (John 14:6). To all who receive Him by faith, He gives the ETERNAL gift of becoming children of God (John 1:12), passing from death into life...

Growing up in the 1970s, The Exorcist loomed large on the cultural landscape, like a haunted mansion built high on a hill. Kids believed several things as articles of faith: that the Russians would drop a nuke on us, that it would be impossible to ban smoking in public, that we would run out of oil (or water, or food) in a few years, and that if you went to see The Exorcist someone in the theatre would puke. When William Friedkin's film came out the day after Christmas in 1973, it became an instant sensation, with day-long line-ups around...

InfantryDort@infantrydort·8hAnd now we understand the absolutely rabid obsession with destroying Pete Hegseth.I’ve been in the Army since before 9/11. Served under many secretaries.Only in the past 18 months have I experienced:>politicians warning me not to follow illegal orders>billboards outside military bases telling me to report war crimes>the media attacking anyone who has a positive thing to say about the man, and defending anyone who hates him>stunning volume of leaks from senior officials trying to undermine him, and the lionizing of the leakers by the press>being called a war criminal myself, hundreds of times a day>a sustained media narrative portraying virtually...

Peggy Mohan’s new book Father Tongue, Mother Land: The Birth of Languages in South Asia (published by Penguin Random House in 2025) can be seen as a sequel to her earlier work Wanderers, Kings and Merchants: The Story of India through Its Languages (2021), where she explored the development of languages in India while looking into the waves of migration of ‘men’ into the subcontinent from the ancient times. In her new work, Peggy is looking into a more remote past to get to the root of the modern Indian languages. Peggy Mohan sketches a historical picture of the emergence...

From the earliest days of our Republic, prayer and faith in Almighty God have stood as the foundation of our strength, the source of our unity, and the fount of our greatness. This Reformation Day, I send my best wishes to the countless Christians across our country commemorating the Protestant Reformation and its enduring message of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.Five hundred years ago, William Tyndale—inspired by the work of Martin Luther—advanced the Protestant Reformation’s devotion to Holy Scripture through the publication of the first New Testament printed in English, shaping the language of the Bibles...

The legal challenges to Donald Trump’s proposed memorial arch are mounting, with the District of Columbia and Virginia suing in federal court on Saturday as the administration says construction could begin as early as next week. There are now three lawsuits calling for a halt to potential work on a monument that would rise 250ft (76 meters) on a patch of grass off the bridge that spans the Potomac River, connecting the city with the Arlington national cemetery. That would make the arch 100ft taller (30 meters) than the Statue of Liberty is from its base to the top of...

Here in Cincinnati, we are getting a LOT of political commercials where a Heavy Sidenote is that "public records record your voting." That is, not who you voted for but the fact you voted, and your history of voting. I am not getting this. It seems like some Capone-style thin threat; "your friends and relatives will know if you voted." Does anyone know the theory behind this odd push?

Explanation: What spooky planet is this? Planet Earth on a dark and stormy night, of course. The ghostly scene was photographed at Hverir, a geothermally active area found along northeastern Iceland's volcanic landscape. Triggered by solar activity, geomagnetic storms have unleashed energetic particles trapped in Earth's magnetic field. Penetrating the planet's upper atmosphere at high latitudes, the particles create auroral displays in the starry night sky. Ghostly towers of steam and gas are venting from local fumaroles to dance against the eerie, greenish northern lights. For now, auroral activity on planet Earth remains in a high state as the Sun...
