More than 51 million Americans have voted early in person or returned mail ballots across the country, according to the Election Lab at the University of Florida.

As of Saturday, more than 7 million people in Texas had voted early in person or returned mail ballots, according to the data. In Florida, more than 4 million people had voted early.

Early voting is significantly outpacing the last midterm election, with millions more Americans casting ballots in advance and particularly sharp increases in states hosting competitive Senate races, according to an Associated Press analysis of voting data conducted five days before Election Day.

Advance voting has increased by more than 30% compared with the same point four years ago in Maine, Michigan, North Carolina and Kansas, all states with competitive Senate races. In South Carolina, where voters are choosing a successor to the late Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, early voting is up 83%.

Historically, hasn’t high turnouts hurt Republicans?

It is disgusting that our voting system has gotten to the point that corruption is just a given....look at this foolish headline...”Early voting!!!!!” make it one weekend and call it...no mail except for military overseas and end it. I consider these last few voting cycles invalid and the only way I see out is pure revolt. What other choice is there? You can vote yourself into communism but......you have to shoot your way out.

Southwestern Pennsylvania news reports say 700 ballots in Fayette County may not have been mailed to those who requested one.

I’m in NY and i know more Republicans than ever who have voted early....

I also posted this yesterday- i have a friend in Austin, Texas who is an independent but has been leaning conservative lately...he hates Paxton but told me he voted for him and from talking to people, Texans are voting early to make sure they vote against talerico...

He voted early and while he doesn’t like Paxton he and his wife wanted to make sure they voted against talerico early rather than wait on election day and stand in a line for 2 hours...

Does that include the ballots that ended up in ditches?

If you can't make the time to vote in person, your ballot deserves to end up in a ditch. That's right! I said it!

“As of Saturday, more than 7 million people in Texas had voted…”

That is proof of the popularity of Ken Paxton and the power of the Republican get out the vote program in Texas. Texans from counties big and small are showing up to vote.

I hope Trump’s poll watchers are both large in number and eagle-eyed and will not be intimidated by thuggish Dim poll watchers

If there is voting, it is corrupted, even for dog catcher. Some DimwitDimocrat will always be there to cheat!!! Kennedy probably won because Daily cheated in Chicago and gave him Illinois. That was probably not the only Dimocratic cheating that went on.

I too live in Austin. Your friend is a rare exception in Austin. The voters here are coming out in huge numbers to vote against Trump which means they are voting against all Republicans. If Wesley Hunt had gotten the nomination, this contest wouldn’t be so close. It was not to be as Paxton was anointed. So here we are. The fact that Trump campaigned 3 times in Texas in October shows how badly the internal polling must be.

You're not the only one beginning to see that AND not afraid to say so either.

I think historically it was dems who voted early, so yes it would seem bad for republicans trying to overcome the early vote and day of “extra-add-in ballots).

In last few elections I think more Republicans have started to vote early too.

I don’t know how that would factor. As well as the clean up in voter rolls and all that Trump’s been having his people do to try to level out the fraud factors.
