The bishop of Málaga, Spain, urged Catholic religious brotherhoods to welcome “with joy” gay couples and other people living in situations contrary to Catholic moral teaching.
Pope Leo XIV appointee José Antonio Satué, at the beginning of a training course of the Council of Brotherhoods of Cadiz, said that in the brotherhood everyone should feel “welcomed, respected and loved as they are,” Diario De Cadiz reported.
“In a brotherhood, children and the elderly, the person with a disability and the athlete should feel at home. We must welcome with joy the gay couple and the marriage with several children, the university student and the prostitute, the divorced remarried, and that blessed woman who prays the rosary before Mass,” Satué said.
The Church is open to receiving anyone into her communion provided they sincerely intend to live out the Catholic faith. However, Satué’s exhortation to the Council to love people “as they are” suggests that they should not judge objective matters of sin. Rather, the Church in her charity defines situations in which sin – and especially mortal sin – has been committed, so that the sinner may repent and be reconciled with God.
Satué further asserted that the brother is forced to have “one foot inside the Church and the other outside” because while “the priest fishes with a rod,” the brotherhood fishes “with a trawl.”
“That’s why I’m not afraid of the tensions between parish priests and brothers because that means that both fulfill their mission. The priest demands processes and the brother asks for spaces for everyone to fit. If there is no such tension, either the priest has gotten into the brother or the brother has become clericalized,” because “the ecclesial place of the brother is the street, the culture, the family, the problems of the neighborhood, the narrowness of the worker, the concerns of the youth.”
The Council of Brotherhoods and Confraternities of Cádiz is a Catholic organization that coordinates the city’s religious brotherhoods, particularly those responsible for the elaborate processions of Holy Week.
Satué was appointed a bishop by Pope Francis on July 16, 2021, and named bishop of Malaga by Pope Leo on June 27, 2025.

What about welcoming GAY THROUPLES! The more the gayer!
Can these bishops and the pope bring the church any lower!
Way to go Leo. Destroy the Church as fast as you can.

Another institution captured, just like the universities, K through 12, media, Hollywood, NGO's and bunch of corporations. I could go on, but we all see and recognize the pattern.
Yes, amazing destruction of the rational, moral mind.
For certain anti-Catholic fundamentalists or internet agitators, adopting the vocabulary of radical traditionalism (e.g., calling post-conciliar Catholicism “apostasy,” citing obscure sedevacantist sites, constantly highlighting scandals) is far more effective than attacking Catholicism from the outside.
An outsider attacking the Papacy is easily ignored by Catholics. But an interlocutor posing as an “ultra-orthodox” insider claiming the Papacy is fundamentally corrupt creates confusion, doubt, and demoralization among believers.
Genuine Catholic traditionalists—even those highly critical of current Vatican policies—are typically deeply invested in Catholic spiritual life, scholastic theology, prayer, and the Sacraments.
If a poster’s activity activity is 100% focused on link-dumping, outrage-mongering, and political hit pieces, well...
As Scripture notes, “By their fruits you will know them” (Matthew 7:16). One whose entire presence consists of spreading anger, unverified gossip, and hostility toward Christ’s Church reveals their spirit regardless of the label they claim.

Welcoming persons into a parish community or church brotherhood to hear the Gospel does not mean the Church endorses sinful behavior. Jesus routinely welcomed tax collectors, outcasts, and sinners into His presence to call them to conversion and new life, without ever compromising moral truth.
Trying to attribute every statement made by every bishop in the world directly to a grand papal conspiracy is a lazy way to manufacture continuous outrage by these ragebait sites or substack conspiracy blogs
True to form, this article too weaponizes standard Christian language about compassion and radical hospitality, falsely framing it as a "rejection of moral conversion" simply because the brief news snippet or speech didn't recite a rigid theological lecture in every single sentence
And is this not what the brothers are to be ? LifeSiteNews and similar sites take a routine reflection on Christian charity, active social engagement, and bringing the Gospel into messy human realities, and inject a completely separate culture-war talking point into the headline to provoke an emotional reaction.
Christians are called to walk with people in their struggles, neighborhood issues, and family crises—meeting individuals where they are—without altering divine law. Conflating pastoral outreach to neighborhoods and families with a rejection of Catholic moral teaching is a deliberate misrepresentation designed to keep readers in a perpetual state of anger.
Yet the lobos defends the blessing of unrepentant sodomites and giving Holy Communion to adulterers with his defense of Tucho's Fiducia Supplicans and Amoris Laetita.
The ultimate hypocrite.
