Perplexity Summary....

According to Nicole Russell’s USA TODAY opinion column, these are the things Trump got right—summarized as the author’s claims, not an independent fact-check:usatoday

Russell also credits Trump with trying to end the Russia–Ukraine war, but explicitly says that effort was unsuccessful, so it is not presented as an accomplished success.

It’s the economy stupid.

Is ALWAYS the case.

The fact is MANY if not MOST people expected Trump to be able to lower the price of everything back to what they were before Covid.

Trump never had the ability to do that, and in fact no President could have accomplished that.

The Feds mission is to avoid deflation at all costs. So prices were NEVER EVER going to go back down. The best that anyone could hope for was the rate of inflation to go back to historical 2-3%. Which Trump did.

But then we have two other things that can be directly connected to Trump in particular.

Tariffs and Iran.

Many if not most people have no idea how tariffs actually work and probably assume (incorrectly) that Trumps tariffs are part of the reason why things still cost so much.

And... *sigh* IRAN

this one is actually true and is 100% owned by Trump, and people fill the pain of that decision each and every time they fill up their cars with gas.

That list looks both accurate and incomplete to me.

And the GOP voters take so much for granted. Freedom. Liberty.

No one dictating you must ride in an EV, take public transportation, have no gas stove, be careful not to say the wrong thing on social media, watch for a Leftist AG to use lawfare against you....

Everything will disappear if the Left continues its takeover into 2028.

Despite the fact that, while the Iran War *is* responsible for a little less than 1/3 of refined fuel cost increases in 2026, Democrat closure of domestic refineries amd further international pressure *not* related to the Iran War is responsible more than 2/3 of the cost increase. So blame it on Trump.

So, even on your own list the things Trunp is being blamed for aren’t his fault.

The attention span of the typical American voter is shorter than your average knat

Add on top of that the undisputed fact that the average American voter has an extremely limited, extremely short term tolerance for good government and you have your answer

The American electorate is the one that awarded Barak Hussein Obama, the guy who was a Muslim Brotherhood bro who proclaimed the Muslim call to prayer “ the sweetest sound”, less than 8 treats after Islamic terrorist took down the Twin Towers and almost the US economy with it

We deserve the government we vote for

Oh, don’t worry - Elissa Slotkin has made clear if everyone is stupid and fails to do everything they can to prevent Democrats from taking majorities again, the lawfare is coming back in spades - and for *everyone* who can be connected to Trump in even the remotest way - which will eventually mean anyone who voted for him. And anyone who doesn’t think open borders, strong Iranian mullahs, open borders, and the rest of your list are on the menu as well, are fooling themselves.

All true.

If the anti-semitic terrorist loving El-Sayed doesn’t make it, the female, heavyweight version of him, Slotkin will still be in the Senate. And in the traitor groups with Mark Kelly urging the armed forces to refuse orders.

The irony about Iran.. is that I support attacking them, I would love nothing more than Iran being a giant glass parking lot.

But as always (since WW2) we start a war, but wont do what it takes to actually win it decisively (in the minimum amount of time, costing the minimum amount of American lives and with the minimum amount of money being spent on our part)

I have no idea why every president since WW2 has gotten this wrong.

It is SO easy.

When considering a possible war:

you ask yourself, is the reason for the war worth destroying the enemy entirely and completely, even at the cost of the collateral deaths of innocent civilians?

If the answer is no, then you dont start it!!!!

if the answer is yes, then DESTROY THEM UTTERLY, QUICKLY, and CHEAPLY regardless of the cost in lives and destruction inflicted upon the enemy country and its civilians.

True. As Ann Coulter noted, the American people were in a shooting war against Sadam Hussein and they decided it was a good idea to trust and vote for a guy with the middle name of “Hussein.” Smart, real smart.

Only “war” I’ve seen or read about that doesn’t have constant battles or boots on the ground.

Yet the enemy is ruined. Their country in total free fall. Their economy wiped out.

And no oil money thus no resources.

Trump has been to solution to leftist idiocy:
Biden let millions of illegals to cross into our country. Trump fixed it.
Previous presidents allowed idiotic trade policies take hold. Trump fixed it.
Leftists have let criminals run rampant in our large cities. Trump fixed it.
Forty years of presidents have given Iran a pass. Trump fixed it.

Push back against government waste. Holding leftist strongholds like NGO's and colleges accountable. Tax cuts. Welfare reform. Pride in being an American... it's only been two years, have we forgotten?

Support for Trump is the same now as it’s always been.

GOP voters are not the problem. GOP politicians are the problem.

The GOP has been at the helm in the House, the Senate, the White House and has once again frittered it all away.

Voters showed up in 2024 and gave them all that power because they were going to save this country from the people who have been destroying America for years now.

What did voters get for it? They got another stupid middle east debacle, high gas prices, lousy tainted food supply with prices that are ruining family budgets, no mass deportations, swamp creatures still roaming and planning more misery and fraud for all after they gain in midterms.

The worst outrage is that all of these things working together are going to put us back in the hands of the most hate filled political criminals and degenerates that we voted our hearts out to get rid of last election. The fault does not lie with the voters, it is at the feet of the people who disrespected and ignored their promises to the voters. People who are too greedy and selfish to feel any shame. People who take money and favors from foreign powers to betray and lie to hard working Americans. People who couldn’t even be bothered to try and secure fair elections.

Yes, people have good reason to feel betrayed, they have really good reason to be fed up and stay home, because why reward failure and broken promises?

But they shouldn’t stay home. Vote for the rotten despicable GOP because they are really not as sick and despicable as that other party of psychopaths, drunks, perverts and muslim con artists.

All of these things you posted are true...

“No one dictating you must ride in an EV, take public transportation, have no gas stove, be careful not to say the wrong thing on social media, watch for a Leftist AG to use lawfare against you....”

But here we are again, and I believe we only get so many last chances and they could be about to run out.

Well said and true. We didn’t vote for compromise business as usual. Now both parties and both constituents face the grim prospect of “this cannot be solved at the ballot box.”

May God help us.
