A longtime Harvard Law professor and liberal lawyer believes the FBI raid on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-Minn.) home has landed her in serious legal jeopardy, and he predicts she will very likely lose her citizenship and face deportation to Somalia, the country of her birth. That lawyer is Alan Dershowitz, and he made his prediction on Newsmax’s The Record with Greta Van Susteren. The whole case hinges on whether Omar became a U.S. citizen, and if so, how. She claims she became a citizen as a minor when her father was naturalized. The problem is that nobody has produced the...

Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse...

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Friday said he told his administration to file its lawsuit to block certification of the U.S. Senate race in Alaska if Republican Sen. The lawsuit, filed late Thursday by the Department of Justice, centers on one of the president’s long-standing complaints in the Senate race — the presence...

Doughty's widow said "Before he got ill, Jonny was the most wonderful person....

Adolf Hitler's Alpine mountain retreat, known as the Eagle's Nest, was engulfed in flames on Friday night while police arrested a 33-year-old male suspect. The residence, called the Kehlsteinhaus, is above the town of Berchtesgaden. It was one of several buildings in the area used by the Nazi dictator and his entourage during World War Two. Hitler also used the area as a backdrop for propaganda films portraying him as a lover of animals and nature. Local media reported that site had been "largely destroyed", with the public urged to avoid the area.

About 7,300 years ago, Kikai produced the Kikai-Akahoya eruption, a giant event that released an estimated 133 to 183 cubic kilometers of magma in dense rock equivalent. The eruption reshaped the landscape, sent ash across large parts of Japan and left behind a vast caldera south of Kyushu. Now, new seismic research suggests that the magma reservoir involved in that ancient eruption is not empty. It is being refilled.>Snip< One of the most important findings is that the magma under Kikai is probably not simply a leftover pocket from the eruption 7,300 years ago. Chemical studies of later volcanic rocks...

R&B legend Stevie Wonder is suing to evict his ex-fiancée from his Studio City home she’s been living in rent-free for nearly four decades. The Motown icon filed a lawsuit against former flame Carmen Efferson in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, after she cursed out his legal representatives and refused access to the home for a property tax inspection, the complaint says. Explanation: This Rosetta spacecraft selfie was snapped on October 7th, 2014. At the time the comet-chasing spacecraft was about 472 million kilometers from planet Earth, but only 16 kilometers from the surface of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Looming beyond the spacecraft near the top of the frame, dust and gas stream away from the comet's curious double-lobed nucleus. Bright sunlight glints off one of Rosetta's 14 meter long solar arrays. In fact, two exposures, one short and one long, were combined to record the dramatic high contrast scene using the CIVA camera system on Rosetta's still-attached Philae lander. Its chosen primary landing...

Netflix released a documentary about the legendary late comedian last week. But what I remember most about him is something he said in a 2018 tweet: ‘How could a man be a cynic? It is a sin.’I’ve long believed that to understand a society, a culture, its people, there’s no better place to look than comedians. Comedy is a medium that does its best to defy performative opinions. It lives and dies on the instant feedback of a raucous chorus of laughter, the desperate silence of a failed punch line. There’s no room for ambiguity. Something is funny or it...

Hillary Clinton may no longer be the most influential voice in the Democratic Party, but she remains a member in good standing of the party establishment. So when she expresses support for expanding the number of justices on the Supreme Court, it tells us that what was once a radical idea has gone mainstream. “We should seriously look at expanding the court while the Democrats are in power,” Clinton said on a recent podcast. “You know, it used to be that you’d have one justice for each circuit. We now have 13 circuits, we should have 13 justices.” Adding four...
