Hillary Clinton may no longer be the most influential voice in the Democratic Party, but she remains a member in good standing of the party establishment. So when she expresses support for expanding the number of justices on the Supreme Court, it tells us that what was once a radical idea has gone mainstream.
“We should seriously look at expanding the court while the Democrats are in power,” Clinton said on a recent podcast. “You know, it used to be that you’d have one justice for each circuit. We now have 13 circuits, we should have 13 justices.”
Adding four justices to the court is just one of the potential reforms that have been suggested as a way of curbing the court’s abuses. Others include 18-year term limits for justices, ethics rules with actual teeth (no more billionaire-funded junkets for you, Justice Thomas) and limits on the court’s ability to strike down any law they don’t like.

Doesn’t that fly in the face of the Constitution? The Congress has always had the power to legislate. That does not include the power to adjudicate the laws they pass.
Instead, reduce the number of regions to nine. With dems like this one, it’s always more: Money, size, corruption.
This is the new Leftist talking point. I have heard this inane argument dozens of times over the last week or two.
They are simply trying to find any excuse, no matter how far fetched, to justify their illegal and ignorant power grabs.
Good. Give it 13 to correspond to the 13 circuit courts, which is her argument. Then pass a constitutional amendment locking it in.

What they want is power so that the Supreme Court is NEVER conservative again, EVER..what they want is to get rid of the 2nd Amendment, the only ones who can have guns ARE the Govt, and the criminals of course..makes it easier to kill conservatives which is their wet dream
So, am I to assume that if Republicans control the Congress and Senate while there is a Republican President and choose to pass Hillary’s altruistic “good government” 13 SC judge proposal, Hillary and the Democrats would support the bill.I think we know the answer to that question. It would be hilarious to hear Hillary’s spin on “court’s abuses” and how adding four justices solves the so-called problem.

Indeed so 4 more appointments for Trump. Not that his record is stellar so far but it could correct the past to some extent if he picks some winners.
And from the graveyard of hopeful Presidential candidates, a voice speaks, in sepulchral tones, of a vanished time and for a vain beseeching petition aimed at tilting the scales of justice.
Herself makes yet another bid to become relevant once more.

Odd numbers prevent ties.
If the Republicans hold the House and Senate after the mid-terms, Trump should immediately push for 13 on the Supreme Court.
Ask for two bills to be put in front of Congress:
1) Ask Congress to authorize Donald Trump to immediately name 4 new people to SCOTUS.
2) Ask Congress to codify the number of justices at 9.
Democrats won’t vote for the first one, but how can they then oppose the second? We need to put this whole issue to bed. Either let Trump get it to 13 or just say that no one can get it to 13.
So okay ... then let’s make Hillary happy and add those four new SCOTUS Justices right NOW!
DJT can nominate the four, and the GOP controlled U.S. Senate can use its power to advise and consent, and ultimately approve the four nominees.

The Dems just love to run with this stupid idea. They can find no serious logical justification for it other than their unsaid unbridled quest for power.

Listening to the female justices the past couple of years shows how horrendously abusive they are of their power and exemplifies their total disregard for jurisprudence, case law, and simple decorum.

One reason she’s in favor of this. It will take the appointment of that many to get herself on the Court.
