For this study, you are invited to describe your experiences providing end-of-life counseling and to assess how well your counselor education program aided in preparation.

List of states with MAID currently in force

The other facet of Anarcho-tyranny — they try not to punish the criminals, but they are eager to punish the law-abiding if at all possible.

My former client and good friend is being dehydrated to death because the anti-Trump doctor and the hospice nurse have decided she is combative because she’s in pain from her organs shutting down. On Monday she ate a granola bar and slapped a nurse; they skipped any sedative and put her on morphine and haven’t given her anything to eat or drink and she hasn’t interacted with anyone since, except when she opened her eyes and we cried together. From the time she arrived at the care center a month ago they refused to give her any of the things that bring her comfort, even after I told them how much she needed those things, and it was too much for her. Too long of a story to tell it all but my heart is sick. The nurses and aides lied about what they were doing with her so her husband felt there wasn’t any choice but to do what they thought best. It’s killing me. He had no strength left to fight them and I had no standing to fight them.

The experiences I have had with the medical community have left me with a burning-white disgust. It’s not just some bad apples, the whole system is rotten to the core.

I know of a guy who is paralyzed from the waist down and who is very depressed because his medical condition, his current accommodations in Kansas, his loss of military benefits as well as what he feels is negative reactions to his faith.

Perhaps MAID can help him.

I didn’t realize so many states had “assisted suicide”.

Per Google:

Medical aid in dying (also known as physician-assisted suicide or death with dignity) is legal in 14 U.S. jurisdictions:

• California
• Colorado
• Delaware
• District of Columbia
• Hawaii
• Illinois
• Maine
• Montana (allowed via a 2009 state Supreme Court ruling rather than a specific statute)
• New Jersey
• New Mexico
• New York
• Oregon
• Vermont
• Washington

States where abortion is illegal:
• Alabama
• Arkansas
• Idaho
• Indiana
• Kentucky
• Louisiana
• Mississippi
• North Dakota
• Oklahoma
• South Dakota
• Tennessee
• Texas
• West Virginia
Since we are talking about lives, I thought I’d throw this in to the conversation. Sadly, in some states, if you’re in the womb or if you are aged, your life isn’t as important to some people.

Nothing ‘dignified’ about it.

Had an old construction friend, busted back and worse, Christian. He called me Christmas eve about 5 yrs ago said he was going to kill himself legally. Middle of COVID and I had a bundle of pts and friends calling me to say goodbye.

I told him to stop the foolishness. He did the legal suicide for Christmas.

Suicide is something between one and one’s God.

Getting others and the state involved turns it into a sort of killing/murder.
