In 2019, Princeton University’s Program on Science and Global Security simulated a potential nuclear conflict between the United States and Russia. In one series of escalatory exchanges, the United States expended between 930 and 1,080 nuclear warheads.1 These simulated figures represent 65–76 percent of U.S. strategic warheads deployed on missiles and bombers as of March 2023.2 With limited remaining warheads and a degraded NC3 network, could the United States effectively deter China in the aftermath? In a 2024 report to Congress, DoD updated its estimate of China’s stockpile of nuclear weapons to more than 600 operational warheads.4 If this trajectory continues,...

It was his only relief. A whizzing Minnesota college professor allegedly spilled his own urine on a student’s backpack in what authorities believe to be the latest in a disturbing series of the educator’s pee-soaked incidents, according to new court docs. The plot was uncovered after a Macalester College student said biology professor Paul Fischer, 55, had heeded nature’s call on Dec. 5, 2025, after she briefly stepped away while working at the school’s science center – only to return to find her backpack moist with a pungent yellow liquid, CBS Minnesota reported. When local cops in Saint Paul investigated...

At the Republican Party’s midterm convention, President Trump said he would make his crusade against transgender rights a major campaign issue ahead of the Nov. 3 election — calling the message that “men should not be playing in women’s sports” one of his party’s “great sound bites of all time.”During a recent campaign trip, Gov. Gavin Newsom, a longtime LGBTQ+ advocate and likely Democratic contender for president in 2028, stood by his remark last year that allowing transgender athletes to compete in girls’ sports is “deeply unfair,” saying, “I haven’t been able to figure out how to make it fair...

Police have seized a robot in Germany after it allegedly touched a 16-year-old girl's buttocks and 'made thrusting motions against her'. The 'assault' was reportedly livestreamed outside a fast food restaurant in Cologne on Sunday. The 1.2m tall red and gold automaton is believed to have approached the teenager from behind when she was standing with a group of friends. The incident was then reported to police who found the robot hidden in the boot of a VW car. Officers have now launched a criminal investigation as it is believed the automaton was being 'remote-controlled'.

Submarine production falters when a fragile industrial base cannot deliver the specialized castings, forgings, ceramics, magnetics, steels, and acoustic coatings that nuclear safety and acoustic stealth demand. Unfortunately, the United States relies on a dangerously thin bench of suppliers. The Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) remains the Navy’s organic foundry and design reference for submarine propellers.6 But the NFPC alone cannot carry the load, nor was it designed to. Each propulsor involves long-lead steps—patterns, molds, pours, and machining—that stretch timelines even in the best cases. When quality issues arise, such as pour defects, heat-treatment variability, or radiographic anomalies, delays...

Atelier Missor just unveiled their 50-foot bronze Prometheus statue to mixed reactions; some hail it as a return to powerful, mythically inspired artwork. Others are critical of the execution, saying it fails to live up to the standards of classical beauty it seeks to restore. And others yet posit that mere imitation of the past shouldn't be the goal at all, that simply emulating ancient statues doesn't make us like them... Teddy Roosvelt's Man in the Arena quote is relevant here; it's easy to be the critic, to point out shortcomings from the safety of the stands. I, who have...

The United States will soon carry out the largest reduction in sea-based strategic launch capacity in its history—at precisely the moment the threat demands more. The November 2024 unclassified nuclear employment strategy report—submitted under 10 U.S.C. §491 and known as the 491 Report—now directs the joint force to “deter Russia, the PRC, and [North Korea] simultaneously in peacetime, crisis, and conflict. The Navy built 14 Ohio-class SSBNs with 24 missile tubes apiece—336 tubes of design capacity, of which 20 per boat remain operational after New START conversion. Twelve Columbias will carry 16 tubes apiece, netting 192 tubes.20 The transition surrenders 43...

Federal agents executed a search warrant at Rep. Ilhan Omar's (D-Minn.) Washington, D.C., home early Monday morning as part of a criminal fraud investigation into her immigration paperwork, according to an exclusive report from Fox News Digital. The search began at around 6 a.m. Two sources close to the investigation told the outlet that the probe focuses on immigration documents the Somali-born congresswoman's late father filled out on her behalf when she was a child. Homeland Security Investigations and the Department of Homeland Security are leading the operation, and the Justice Department is also involved. Multiple agents wearing HSI jackets...

Vladimir Zelensky will not hold elections in Ukraine or stop attacks on Russian oil refineries despite demands from US President Donald Trump, even if that means Washington pulls its support from Ukraine in the conflict with Russia, political analyst and international relations expert Vladimir Karasev told TASS. "I think the situation could indeed develop in such a way that aid to Zelensky from the United States will be blocked. I do not think...

WASHINGTON — President Trump doesn’t just want to make waves; he wants to own the waves. The president tested the waters on the possibility of renaming both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans after himself during a rally on Saturday, marking his latest attempt to make his mark on the map. “We’ve got the Gulf, we’ve got a beautiful lake, and now someone said ‘you need a river,’ so, I don’t wanna change the name of the Hudson River,” Trump mused during the rally in Clarksville, Tenn. “Henry Hudson, he did a good job sailing up that sucker a long time...

Kid Rock opened up about his collaboration with fellow Detroit musician Eminem on his new Christian album, "Halfway 2 Jesus," telling "My View with Lara Trump" on Saturday that the longtime friends have refused to let their political differences come between them. The rocker said he hoped the collaboration would send a message about maintaining friendships despite political disagreements, highlighting his nearly 40-year friendship with Eminem. "We said years ago, we said, 'Man, let's not let politics divide us.' And we never did. And so when I asked him to be part of this... he totally got it," Kid Rock...

In what it called a “Schools Decree,” the Italian government announced last month that no student may cover their face in class, no classroom may exceed 30% foreign-born pupils and parents who skip mandatory Italian lessons could face fines of up to $1,120. The decree, which takes effect next summer, is framed as a push for “integration,” but it raises the question of whether a Western democracy can force assimilation, or is it already too late? Nile Gardiner, director of The Heritage Foundation’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom said that it is “The single biggest issue of our time in...

“What if?” That’s a question you may have asked yourself at times throughout your life. What if something happened or didn’t happen is often the query. I won’t go into detail about all the “what ifs” I’ve questioned myself about in my life. I could write lots of columns on that question alone. No one wants to read about that, for sure! When it comes to American history, though, I’ve often thought about that question — wondering how history would have been different had this or that happened or not happened. What if George Washington had not had fog to...

When you study the backgrounds and lives of Muhammad (the founder of Islam) and Karl Marx (the founder of Communism) you’ll find the two men were quite alike. They even looked alike! .. Look closely at how Islam began and how Communism began, and a clear pattern appears. Both took ideas that already existed and worked, then changed them so the founders and their followers could claim ownership and control. The result in both cases has been division. Both men followed the same logic: Take something that already functions. Declare it incomplete or corrupt. Supply a new, corrected version that...

The night before Gino Chouinard was fatally wounded on a stretch of a popular trail in Michigan’s capital last fall, the 54-year-old man missed the intake window at a homeless shelter by a few minutes, according to his uncle. “They wouldn’t let him into the shelter,” Robert Chouinard told CNN about his nephew. “They’re pretty strict with the rules. He called his girlfriend and told her he was going to sleep at the river trail.” Gino Chouinard was found unconscious with head trauma and other injuries the morning of October 14, 2025. He died 13 days later in what would...

President Donald Trump suggested on Saturday that the Democratic Party was long overdue for a name change that better reflected what the party truly represented within the current political landscape. Trump made it clear that the Democratic Party had already done a thorough job of reinventing itself, embracing the socialists and communists that threaten to devour the organization from within and gleefully taking the 20-side of every 80-20 issue — like men playing in women’s sports and legal requirements for voter identification — and he suggested that it was high time for the party to be rebranded as well. “I...
