In Vladimir Karasev's opinion, Zelensky is more apt to wait for the next US presidential election in hopes that a Democrat comes to power
MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky will not hold elections in Ukraine or stop attacks on Russian oil refineries despite demands from US President Donald Trump, even if that means Washington pulls its support from Ukraine in the conflict with Russia, political analyst and international relations expert Vladimir Karasev told TASS.
"I think the situation could indeed develop in such a way that aid to Zelensky from the United States will be blocked. I do not think he will comply with Trump’s demands, so I believe Washington’s support for Kiev will decline," the expert said.
In his opinion, Zelensky is more apt to wait for the next US presidential election in hopes that a Democrat comes to power than to organize elections or abandon his tactics of terror.
"And, of course, this will also affect the pace of the Russian army’s advance along the line of engagement. Given the critical situation Zelensky is facing both on the front line and inside the country, particularly in the energy sector, things will only get worse for Kiev and the Ukrainian armed forces," the expert said.
Yesterday, US President Donald Trump said elections needed to be held in Ukraine. The Wall Street Journal noted that the US leader’s remarks indicated that relations with Zelensky had deteriorated to their lowest point since the winter of last year. Meanwhile, the Financial Times reported, citing unnamed European officials, that the US administration was threatening to halt its weapons procurement program and the provision of intelligence to Ukraine.
Earlier, Axios reported, citing White House sources, that US President Donald Trump was angry with Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky and expected Ukraine to stop attacking Russian oil refineries. Trump believes the strikes are driving up US gasoline prices, the news outlet reported. He is also angry that Zelensky takes Washington’s support for Kiev for granted.

If Zelenksy wants to do the right thing for his country, he should step down and have Valerii Zaluzhnyi take over until the next election takes place.
Oh, an “Expert” said it. Damn, this experts are just popping up everywhere these days.
I’m sensing a Diem moment coming.
I think that’s right. I think Zelensky is going to be an unwanted man by the US, Europe, Russia, and the Ukrainians. Will no one rid me of the troublesome dictator?
The entire London/DC-MI6-CIA project in Ukraine, to wrest Ukraine from Russia’s influence, and turn it into a Davos-WEF colony, was destined to fail - and blow-back in the faces of Europe and the USA
And that’s exactly what has happened. Ukraine is being destroyed, and US/EU energy security is in a shambles.
You can blame people going back as far as Bush and the Anglo-Atlanticist deep state that runs (ran?) Washington DC
Trump is forced to deal with this giant pile of SH** which has been dumped on him.
Ukraine is fighting for its survival. Telling it to quit attacking the enemy is a non-starter, unless you have an alternate arrangement in mind.
The problem is....the EU and all their buddies said they’re not in unless the USA is in. Remember, we’re selling the EU plus arms...and they pass them on to Ukraine.
80% is better than nothing. Where’s the “survival” if thousands of Ukie boys are killed along the way.
Little Zeke wants to help the Dems get Congress back. He thinks that will re-open the money flow.
TASS “expert” says: oh yeah, totally credible, 100% guaranteed NOT propaganda ...
We attack energy infrastructure in Iran and its a war crime.
Ukraine attacks energy infrastructure in Russia, and its a legitimate target.
What a double standard.
So I take it when the US goes to war, energy infrastructure is “off the table”.
Good for our adversaries to know. Not so good for us.
Any chance Zelensky is an “our live, our fortunes, and our sacred honor” kind of a guy?
A lot of people don’t seem to understand that Trump is a negotiator and he goes back on some of the things he says because as part of negotiating he asks for more than he’ll settle for and offers less than he’ll give, but Trump doesn’t seem to understand that some of the people he deals with aren’t willing to negotiate over the issues at hand.
Are they thinking Trump cares? Are they thinking this wasn’t the way it was always going to end?
It didn’t help that President Trump was unequivocal that he would get a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine within the first 24 hours of his taking office. I know you - you can’t hold him literally, but it’s been over 18 months. It shows that he is out of his depth if he can’t deliver. Hopefully that can change.
War is a racket.
Part of the deal with Putin.:
Putin sends piddling amount of diesel, Zelenski forced to give up his main threat to Russia, US withholds or takes away all support for Ukraine, Russia goes on targeting and murdering Ukrainian civilians, Forces Ukraine to surrender, Russia begins eliminating all Ukrainians [ Holodomor II ], 47 gets Noble Piece Prize - everybody wins!! Except the Ukrainian people.
Expect similar deal with the IRGC and another 50,000 Persians murdered. 47 gets another Noble Piece Prize - everybody wins!! Except the the Persian people.
