Zelensky: I feel betrayed by Trump
The Telegraph via Yahoo ^ | October 14th, 2026 | Joe Barnes

Volodymyr Zelensky said that he felt betrayed by Donald Trump, and warned the US president was not acting on the "right side of history".

"It is a pity that we are losing a strong partner," the Ukrainian leader said on Wednesday amid an escalating public clash with his American counterpart.

Relations between Kyiv and the White House have sharply deteriorated after Mr Trump agreed on Friday to waive sanctions on Russia to import diesel.

The US president has been pressuring Ukraine to halt its strikes on Russian oil refineries, blaming Kyiv – not the Iran war – for rising energy prices. On Saturday he said Ukraine needed "a new president".

In an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, scheduled to air on Wednesday, Mr Zelensky said he would not resign under US pressure.

Zalensky has been in kahoots with the Democrat party since Trump’s first administration. UKRAINE reportedly funneled millions to the Biden campaign. I’ll bet he’s being advised by the DNC.

LOL LOL this guy is such a douche bag..he has been asked repeatedly to NOT touch Russian oil since its raising the cost of diesel but this jackass refuses to stop making things worse. Zelenskyy has always been a prick and that is why the left adores him, they send him money for his massive money laundering operation which gets floated back to the states its that simple

We're right back to the Whitehouse and.....you have no cards...

"Z" was told not to lob missiles into Russia...and that's why we wouldn't supply them.

Remember when your telephone call with Trump and him asking about Biden family corruption in Ukraine was “leaked” and it became the subject of impeachment #1?

yeah, I haven’t forgotten that.

Everything you do is BAD NEWS for the USA.

“Our country has to survive, and we count on our real partners, strategic partners, the United States and President Trump. They wanted us not to attack. My opinion was, it is not fair.”

Ukrainians are the pinnacle moralizers, even when they’re trying to depose a US President.

You know, Volodymyr, bombing Russian oil was a stupid move.
Wonder why Trump is fed up with you.

I wonder how many Republicans have been on the “Ukraine payroll” ever since McCain and Nuland showed up to the “Maidan Uprising” in 2014.

Russia is attacking Ukraine. In response, Ukraine attacks Russian energy sites to bring pressure on the Russians. Trump wants Ukraine to stop attacking Russian energy sites, but doesn’t provide any comparable assistance to bring pressure on the Russians. Instead, he makes a deal with the Russians.

Previous Western assistance hasn’t helped stop the Russian advances. Ukraine takes matters into their own hands and inflicts pain on Russia. Trump wants them to stop. There really isn’t any motivation for Ukraine to stop. They are fighting for their survival.

Well, I feel betrayed by Rob f’n Portman. In his opus to the senate, the Ohio RINO POS mentioned going to Ukraine 10 times since 2014.

And why do you think Putin cares about pain inflicted on his people? If it negatively impacts the United States I at least can understand Trumps rationale for now. He isn’t asking for a permanent scale back. Just stop for the time being. Just like Iran is on the clock....I wouldn’t recommend any trips to Tehran after the mids

It’s obvious POTUS has decided our best interests are served by normalized relations with Russia. Of course he is correct, if not late, in this realization.

Yes, Ukraine has enormous motivation to comply with Trump’s edict. If they do not they are likely to find themselves without access to US weapons, Satcom and Intel.

And that would ensure Russia would have an open field. Kiev and Odessa would fall, along with Kharkiv.

Kyiv maintains it has not hit any oil refineries since Mr Trump announced an energy ceasefire on Sunday.

Zelensky said that Ukraine has not attacked any oil refineries after the Trump announcement while Russia has repeatedly struck Ukraine's grid and has not agreed to any ceasefire.

Three days after Washington announced an energy ceasefire, Russia fires 39 ballistic missiles at Ukraine’s grid

Russia fired 39 ballistic missiles and more than 120 drones at Ukraine’s energy system overnight into 14 October, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. The barrage came three days after US President Donald Trump announced an energy ceasefire, which the Kremlin never confirmed, saying on 12 October only that contacts were continuing.
