In late May, RedState reported on a ruling that was handed down in consolidated lawsuits filed by leftist groups looking to block Florida's new congressional map from taking effect ahead of the 2026 midterms. In that ruling, Circuit Judge Joshua Hawkes denied the plaintiffs' temporary injunction request.
