A far-left lunatic fashioned at least 200 improvised explosive devices out of homemade materials and planned to unleash a series of terrorist attacks across Washington, D.C., authorities said after arresting the man on Tuesday. The deranged New Jersey resident had reportedly filled a tent with what the Metropolitan District Police described as “grenades” readied for detonation at the annual Red Mass gathering of Christians this week. A notebook left behind by the man was filled with hate-filled scrawls against justices on the U.S. Supreme Court, who already confirmed they would not be attending the appeal to their faith out of...

In a dramatic escalation of federal immigration enforcement, 400 members of the Texas National Guard arrived Tuesday at a military facility in suburban Chicago to support ICE and Border Patrol operations targeting cartel-linked fugitives and violent illegal aliens. Texas Governor Greg Abbott authorized the federal government to deploy the National Guard, which has been patrolling the nation’s southern border during the Biden-era border crisis, Breitbart Texas’ Randy Clark reported. Abbott responded to Illinois Governor JB Pritzker’s complaints about the deployment. “We must now start calling this what it is: Trump’s Invasion,” Pritzker posted on social media. “It started with federal...

The Supreme Court appeared ready Tuesday to rule against a Colorado law that bans so-called “conversion therapy” for minors in counseling, with several justices during oral arguments expressing concerns that it limits free speech. Licensed counselor Kaley Chiles appealed a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit that upheld the Colorado law as a regulation on professional conduct by medical professionals, rather than just a limit on what can be said to patients. The law prohibits any practice that “attempts or purports to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity.” More than two dozen states...

So strong is the desire for “diversity” (at least racial diversity) in higher education that school and college officials often turn a blind eye to the law against racial discrimination in employment. The 1964 Civil Rights Act forbids racial discrimination in employment. It does not read that racial discrimination is illegal unless you think you have a good reason for doing so. Unfortunately, education leaders often act as if it does, engaging in blatant discrimination against candidates who don’t have the desired ancestry. A complaint recently filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against Cornell University shows how audacious its...

"Under this Trump Administration, border crossings have dropped to their lowest level since 1970. That's incredible. Caroline Leavitt @PressSec · Follow The Trump Effect: “Unlawful crossings along the U.S.-Mexico border in fiscal year 2025 plummeted to the lowest annual level since the early 1970s, amid the Trump administration's sweeping clampdown on illegal immigration.”

Daily Readings from the USCCBJesus was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.” Luke 11:1What a great prayer for us to pray also, “Lord, teach us to pray…” Jesus’ response to this disciple was to present him with the “Our Father” prayer. Of this prayer, Saint Andre Bessette said, “When you say the Our Father, God's ear is next to your lips.” The great mystical Doctor of the Church Saint Teresa of Ávila gave this advice while praying the...

“The issue is never the issue. The issue is the revolution,” said the late David Horowitz, quoting a 1960s rebel. The Palestinian conflict, the climate, transgenderism, immigration, and abortion are all proximate causes for protests and now terrorism. But they are all also part of an amalgamated “omnicause” whose real purpose is to bring down the United States and the West. Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk and other recent tragedies that are rightly garnering worldwide attention, our leaders have finally woken up and are looking into who the perpetrators are and who organizes and finances them. After Kirk’s death,...

Former Democratic California Rep. Katie Porter threatened to storm out of an interview with CBS News California in a resurfaced clip from September after she accused a reporter of asking “argumentative” questions about her gubernatorial race. CBS News California’s Julie Watts asked Porter what her messaging is to the 40% of Californians who voted for President Donald Trump. Porter then snapped at Watts and abruptly threatened to end the interview. “What do you say to the 40% of California voters, who you’ll need in order to win, who voted for Trump?” Watts asked. “How would I need them in order...

Chatter Points * A new model suggests dark matter and dark energy may not be real entities, but effects of changing physical constants. * Galaxy rotation curves from seven galaxies fit the model using one key parameter: a “turn-off density.” * The approach also explains supernovae, galaxy clusters, and the cosmic microwave background without exotic matter. * Challenges remain: galaxies are complex, and no direct evidence yet shows that fundamental constants truly vary. ========================================================================== A physicist at the University of Ottawa has published research suggesting the universe’s most perplexing mysteries — dark matter and dark energy, which together supposedly account...

Organ harvesting has surged across Canada, fueled by controversial assisted suicides offered to people battling depression, not terminal illness. Canada legalized Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) in 2016, allowing medical professionals to either administer a lethal injection or prescribe a drug that eligible patients can take themselves to end their lives. Those who opt for MAiD can also agree to donate their organs after death, voluntarily giving them to patients in need of a transplant. But today, even Canadians who aren’t terminal can qualify for the government’s assisted suicide program - from those battling autoimmune diseases and diabetes to chronic...

(Hostages and Missing Families Forum) Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg drew criticism Tuesday after sharing a picture of an emaciated Israeli hostage in a social media post about alleged mistreatment of Palestinians in Israeli prisons and detention centers. The post, which was made in collaboration with several pro-Palestinian activists, included graphics with statistics and pictures of Palestinians in Israeli detention, and was meant to call attention to “the suffering” of those in custody. “The suffering of Palestinian prisoners is not a matter of opinion — it is a fact of cruelty and dehumanization. Humanity cannot be selective. Justice cannot have...

A US Air Force jet designed to collect intelligence on enemy radar systems was spotted making circles over Russia, following rising tensions with Moscow. Flight tracking data showed the RC-135U 'Combat Sent' taking off from England early Tuesday, flying over the Baltic states and looping around Kaliningrad, the Russian exclave between Poland and Lithuania, before returning to the UK. The American jet departed from Mildenhall, a Royal Air Force station in Suffolk, at 2:32am ET and touched down at 9:36am. The mission came a day after German Chancellor Friedrich Merz accused Russia of waging a 'hybrid war' against Germany. Merz...

Whenever journalists are tempted to use the P-word, they would be advised to consult a thesaurus to find an adjective for a term that has become a tired, deservedly mocked cliché. "Pouncing" as in "pouncing Republicans" which is used to describe supposedly opportunistic Republicans taking advantage of a political situation. Of course, the term "pouncing Democrats" is rarely used by the mainstream media. The latest "pouncing" example comes to us via Monday's USA Today in which correspondent Phillip Bailey invoked that tired cliché in "'Sick' texts from Democratic AG candidate could threaten Spanberger chances in Virginia."

Guy Fieri was shocked to learn that two truckloads of his Santo Tequila had gone missing. Fieri co-founded the tequila company with musician Sammy Hagar. In an episode of "60 Minutes" — which aired Oct. 5 on CBS — the Food Network star and his company’s CEO shared more information about how an international crime group pulled off a highway heist, stealing two semi-trucks filled with tequila valued at $1 million. The "Diners, Drive-In and Dives" host explained the president of his company called him with the news — and his immediate concern was the safety of the drivers. "I...

The Senate confirmed 107 of President Donald Trump’s nominees in a single vote on Tuesday evening, significantly clearing the backlog of the president’s picks awaiting floor consideration. Senators voted along party lines to approve the large group of nominees, which included former football star and ex-Senate candidate Herschel Walker and former White House personnel director Sergio Gor. The mass confirmation of the president’s picks comes after Senate Republicans changed chamber precedent to expedite the confirmation process, citing months of unprecedented obstruction from Senate Democrats. Trump has nearly 300 civilian nominees confirmed following the massive group vote. The 107 individuals confirmed...

Soon, the EU may have access to every photo, message and video on your phone or computer. After Germany dropped its long-standing opposition to EU chat control, leading encrypted messenger Signal issued a dire warning about privacy in Europe, with the post going viral. However, now European parties such as the Alternative for Germany (AfD) have joined in the criticism, with the party warning just before the EU Council vote that so-called “chat control” could end privacy entirely in Europe. The protest from the AfD comes after Signal threatened to pull out entirely from Europe if the EU implements its...
