or years, we were told by government officials and outside “experts” that the terrorists in our midst were mostly right-wing fanatics – a list that under the Biden administration came to include parents who spoke up at local school board meetings and Catholics who like the Latin mass. But even the left is now admitting what everyone else already knows. Namely, that despite their constant bleating about tolerance and peace, it’s leftists who pose the greatest threat to Americans. This week, the Trump-hating Atlantic magazine published an article titled “Left-Wing Terrorism Is on the Rise,” written by scholars at the...

Let’s be clear. There is zero cause or justification for President Donald Trump to send federal troops to Portland and authorize “full force.” Despite Trump’s bluster over the very limited protests outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in South Portland, the city is not “war ravaged,” nor is the ICE building “under siege” by “domestic terrorists.” Portlanders, of course, know this already, because we live, work and raise our families here. We know from our daily routines – school drop-offs, commutes through the city and evening get-togethers – that Trump’s characterizations are divorced from reality. While the modest protests...

A 24-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela who posed as a teenager in Toledo, Ohio, now faces decades in prison after admitting to a scheme that lasted more than a year. Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra pleaded guilty this past week to multiple charges after forging immigration documents and claiming to be a 16-year-old student at Perrysburg High School in January 2024, the New York Post reported. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio, Sierra, who crossed the border in 2019 and was only permitted to stay until March 2020 by the Biden administration, also illegally purchased...

Just 40 percent of the $110 billion the United States has invested into global HIV/AIDS prevention since 2003 actually went toward on-the-ground deliveries of life-saving medical supplies, with at least two recipients using more than $30 billion in taxpayer money to pay "exorbitant" executive salaries and push "leftwing ideology," a State Department audit found. When the Trump administration unveiled its "America First Global Health Strategy" earlier this month, it contended the nation’s "foreign assistance programs are deeply broken" and often plagued by fraud, mismanagement, and waste. An internal State Department review of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)...

A poll released on the eve of the Labour Party conference in Liverpool has found that Sir Kier Starmer now ranks as the least popular prime minister on record. A survey of 1,100 adults this month by polling firm Ipsos has found that only 13 per cent of the public are satisfied with the performance of Prime Minister Starmer. In contrast, 79 per cent are dissatisfied, The Telegraph reported.

WASHINGTON - The White House released a list of nearly 30 elected officials -- all of them Democrats -- who the Trump administration said incited violence against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents throughout the U.S. The White House named the following elected officials on the list, as well as quoted each of them: Gov. Tim Walz smeared ICE as the “modern-day Gestapo. Gov. Gavin Newsom likened ICE to “secret police,” calling them “authoritarian” and proclaiming a “right to push back.” Gov. JB Pritzker claimed the country is becoming “Nazi Germany” because ICE is “grabbing people off the street and...

A deputy noticed Ms. Mitchell driving a Jeep with illegally tinted windows. Well, he didn’t see Ms. Mitchell actually, because the windows were that dark. With windows that dark you probably can’t even see her ducks in a row on her dashboard, if she had any at all. What’s the point of driving a Jeep if people can’t see your ducks? A traffic stop was con-duck-ted on the Jeep on Ronald Reagan Parkway at Tortuga Drive in Davenport. Then the deputy learned something about Ms. Mitchell…she was driving on a license that had been suspended three years ago. That’s like...

A $1.8 billion lawsuit brought by an anonymous activist and the state of Texas is seeking to recover money they say Planned Parenthood illegally took from Medicaid. The U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments Thursday in the case, Doe v. Planned Parenthood. When Planned Parenthood was exposed for selling fetal tissue and organs, Louisiana and Texas quickly moved to revoke the organization’s Medicaid eligibility. Court orders delayed the revocation. As the courts debated Planned Parenthood’s eligibility, the group continued to make Medicaid reimbursement claims despite the uncertain status until 2020, when the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals...

Naomi Wolf's 1991 best-seller “The Beauty Myth” made her the most prominent face of so-called "third-wave feminism" and a darling of the liberal elite. The young Yale graduate and Rhodes scholar served as an adviser to both President Bill Clinton and — during his 2000 presidential run — Vice President Al Gore. But then the COVID pandemic hit. For voicing her concerns about vaccine mandates and draconian lockdowns, Wolf found herself deplatformed from Twitter, marginalized as a so-called conspiracy theorist, and rejected by the same powerful Democrats who had once made her a star. Wolf, in turn, has left the...

Daily Readings from the USCCBJesus said to the Pharisees: “There was a rich man who dressed in purple garments and fine linen and dined sumptuously each day. And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man’s table. Dogs even used to come and lick his sores. When the poor man died, he was carried away by angels to the bosom of Abraham.” Luke 16:19–22No rational person would want to go to hell. The rich man in this parable certainly...

Trump derangement syndrome is a form of mental illness that can lead to serious health issues. When the administration brought to light studies suggesting that Tylenol might not be safe for pregnant women, pregnant liberals responded with videos of themselves gulping the drug: Potentially inflicting autism on their offspring is regarded as a small price to pay for an opportunity to defy the Nazi fascist extremist who is literally Hitler, Donald Trump. Trump will not be affected. It remains to be seen whether their children will be. As for the moonbats themselves: One pregnant moonbat is reportedly on a ventilator....

Reform's immigration policy is "racist" and "immoral", Sir Keir Starmer has said. He was reacting after Nigel Farage's party said it would axe the right of migrants to apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR), ban anyone who is not a UK citizen from claiming benefits, and force those applying for UK citizenship to renounce other citizenship. This policy could impact hundreds of thousands of people, although Reform has exempted EU citizens with settled status from its plans to ban migrant access to benefits and its policies on ILR. Indefinite leave to remain is the status which grants legal migrants...

Michael Shellenberger @shellenberger · We need digital IDs to halt migration, increase efficiency, & safeguard data, they say. But border control does not require digital IDs and centralizing data is a hacker's dream. The real reason they want digital ID is for billions in fees and the control of our behavior. Michael Shellenberger @shellenberger Everybody needs a digital ID, say heads of state and high-tech leaders. They give many reasons: it will stop illegal migration; it will increase efficiency; it will protect privacy; and it will prevent online fraud and data ransoming. But we don’t need digital IDs for any...

SOUTHPORT, N.C. — Authorities have identified the suspect in Saturday night’s mass shooting at the American Fish Company in the Southport Yacht Basin as 40-year-old Nigel Max Edge of Oak Island, North Carolina. Edge, a former U.S. Marine veteran, is accused of opening fire from a boat anchored on the Cape Fear River around 9:30 p.m., killing three people and injuring at least nine others. Witnesses say patrons were dining and socializing at the popular waterfront restaurant when shots suddenly rang out, creating chaos along the busy marina district. Investigators confirm that Edge, who was accompanied by a spotted dog...

Some months back I asked for prayers for my wife Jane and niece Diane. Both were facing long odds to survive serious medical conditions. Last Sunday September 21, my dear wife Jane passed on to her heavenly reward. Jane was a faithful Catholic and a loving wife and mother. She was in the state of grace and I am comforted by that acknowledge. Jane had been in various hospitals and facilities for the last 18 weeks; and all of the medical problems that arose made fighting her stage 4 uterine cancer impossible.

It may be impossible to reconcile a nation so divided about basic truths. How does America survive when its citizens belong to two divided camps that believe fundamentally incompatible things? Over the last century, there has been a trend to establish “truth and reconciliation commissions” in countries emerging from periods of political terrorism, totalitarianism, or civil war. The idea is to acknowledge the crimes and atrocities that past governments officially sanctioned and to recognize the harms inflicted upon their victims. As is often the case when governments “disappear” citizens or throw them in gulags for their politically incorrect thoughts, it...

New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani holds a 20-point lead over his closest opponent, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, in a Suffolk University CityView poll released this week. The survey, which includes likely voters in November’s general election, shows Mamdani in the lead with 45 percent support, followed by Cuomo with 25 percent, Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa with 9 percent and incumbent Mayor Eric Adams with 8 percent. Cuomo and Adams are running as independents. Three other candidates — Conservative Party nominee Irene Estrada, independent Joseph Hernandez and independent Jim Walden — earn a combined 1 percent...

AWisconsin RINO who appears to have a penchant for “sexually explicit” material — and a connection to a trans porn site — has dropped out of the Badger State governor’s race. Whitefish Bay businessman Bill Berrien, who also had a past dalliance with the disastrously kinky election method known as ranked-choice voting, quit Friday following reports linking the candidate to several “sexually explicit accounts” on social media. He apparently connected to said accounts through the platform Medium, where he followed Jiz Lee, a “trans” sex peddler, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported earlier this week.
