MacArthur Park is not a war zone. It is a playground, a picnic spot, a community spot. But you wouldn’t know that looking at it now. Why send armed agents to terrorize a community?

Tucker Carlson took aim at the major sports betting companies for their “predatory” behavior that has led to massive gambling debt on Tuesday. In a new episode of The Tucker Carlson Show, Carlson and guest Saagar Enjeti drew parallels between the issues of gambling debt and credit card debt. The conversation first began with Enjeti giving a brief history lesson detailing how sports betting became so popular in the last few years. Then, Carlson compared the sports betting giants to credit card lenders and explained why, in his opinion, Americans simply shouldn’t pay the debts he deemed predatory: CARLSON: Why...

Attorney General Pam Bondi is in hot water today after the Epstein list that was "on her desk" a few months ago somehow went missing. Before you start attacking Bondi though, consider these seven totally reasonable explanations for what might have happened: 1. Bondi threw it away because she saw the list included every single person living in Hollywood and D.C. and realized there must be some mistake: Obviously. 2. Bondi meant she had Epstein's Spotify list: It was a simple misunderstanding. 3. She really had the list, but her dog ate it, and she was going to try to...

Last week, following a request to defend the controversial senior federal watchdog appointee Paul Ingrassia, the Trump administration told CNN that he had the “support of many Jewish groups.” But after CNN reached out to the Jewish groups mentioned in the administration’s response, many said that they had never heard of him. Ingrassia, a 30-year-old lawyer, was nominated for the new senior role as head of the United States Office of Special Counsel in May. He has since gathered scrutiny over his defense of the avowed white supremacist Nick Fuentes and work with antisemitic influencer Andrew Tate. In a since-deleted...

In the opening chapter of DC’s relaunched superhero franchise, director James Gunn mocks the mythology of his main character, played by the likeable yet limited David Corenswet....Back home, Lois Lane (a cute Rachel Brosnahan) knows Superman’s true identity and the pair have been dating long enough to get on each other’s nerves. For once, he gives Lois an interview, which devolves into a spat. Also, Superman has a super-dog, Krypto, who is annoyingly hyperactive but also keeps saving him.Despite being fake-looking and digital, the mutt is the star of the movie, because this “Superman” has the soul of a sitcom....

I used to like Sig Sauer. They made good guns and had a good reputation. Then the P320 rolled out, and the problems started. Even then, I didn't really hold it against them. The first problem was the guns drop firing if they landed at a particular angle. Since that was something that I could see being missed during testing. While they didn't recall the firearms, they did offer a voluntary upgrade that was supposed to fix the issue. Sig Sauer claimed that nothing was wrong, that they'd been exonerated in court, and that it was all some anti-gun conspiracy...

A Turkish court on Wednesday blocked access to some content from Grok, developed by Elon Musk-founded company xAI, after authorities said the chatbot generated responses insulting President Tayyip Erdogan, modern Turkey's founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and religious values. Concerns over political bias, hate speech and factual inaccuracy in AI chatbots have mounted since the launch of OpenAI's ChatGPT in 2022, with Grok dropping content accused of antisemitic tropes and praise for Adolf Hitler. Ankara chief prosecutor's office said it launched an investigation, and marked Turkey's first such ban on content from an artificial intelligence tool. Authorities cited violations of laws...

By her own admission, Stacey Abrams has made a number of "personal financial missteps” in her career. Despite a history marked by bill collectors, tax liens, and ethics investigations, the Georgia politician and Democratic Party activist has managed to amass a small fortune – while working most of her career in the not-for-profit sector. Financial records show that when she first entered statewide politics in 2018, she reported a net worth of less than $109,000. By 2022, the last year she had to publicly file a financial report, it had grown to more than $3.2 million. Abrams is probably even...

Ukraine joining NATO would be viewed by Russia as an existential threat, likely triggering a severe and multifaceted military escalation that could lead to a broader European war. The Kremlin has consistently framed NATO’s eastward expansion as the primary justification for its aggression, meaning Kyiv’s accession would be a direct challenge to Russia’s perceived sphere of influence.

As The Gateway Pundit reported on Tuesday, sparks flew in the Cabinet Room when a reporter dared to ask a question about the “lingering mysteries” in the Epstein case, including Epstein’s ties to American or foreign intelligence agencies like Israel’s Mossad. This comes after the FBI unbelievably determined that Epstein did commit suicide and that there is no incriminating client list, no credible blackmail evidence, and no grounds to investigate uncharged individuals connected to Epstein’s massive sex trafficking operation. President Trump went off on the reporter, calling the question a “desecration” of the situation in Texas and the success of...

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was due to meet U.S. President Donald Trump's Ukraine envoy, Keith Kellogg in Rome on Wednesday, the Ukrainian leader's spokesperson said, shortly after Trump pledged to send more defensive weapons to Kyiv. The two were travelling to Italy before a conference on July 10-11 dedicated to Ukraine's recovery and long-term reconstruction following Russia's invasion. Attempts by the U.S. to end the war in Ukraine through diplomacy have largely stalled and, on Tuesday, Trump aimed unusually direct criticism at the Russian president, Vladimir Putin. He said on Monday he had approved the supply of additional weapons to...

An internal report prepared by officials in the county hit worst by the Fourth of July Texas floods predicted such an event would occur this year, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal. The report also said the number one priority for saving lives in heavy floods was to 'improve the delivery and effectiveness of warning messages'. - snip - But the report, published just nine months ago in October 2024, shows officials knew of the dangers but dragged their feet when it came to doing anything about them. Not only did the Kerr County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan explicitly note that a...

When the Los Angeles Lakers and Detroit Pistons faced each other in the 1988 and 1989 NBA Finals, the matchups featured some of the most iconic players in pro basketball. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson and James Worthy led the Lakers. Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars and Bill Laimbeer headlined the Pistons’ roster. Those championship series also included another competition of sorts: a clash between the league’s most stylish, fashion-forward head coaches. The Lakers’ Pat Riley, who twice appeared on the cover of GQ magazine, preferred immaculate Armani suits. The Pistons’ Chuck Daly, whose dapper attire earned him the nickname “Daddy Rich,”...

X CEO Linda Yaccarino said she’s stepping down after two years running Elon Musk’s social media platform. Yaccarino posted a positive message Wednesday about her tenure at the company formerly known as Twitter and said “the best is yet to come as X enters a new chapter with” Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI, maker of the chatbot Grok. Musk responded to Yaccarino's announcement with his own 5-word statement on X: “Thank you for your contributions”. Musk hired Yaccarino, a veteran ad executive, in May 2023 after buying Twitter for $44 billion in late 2022 and cutting most of its staff.
