Rep. Ken Calvert (R-Calif.) is projected to win reelection in his Southern California House seat, according to Decision Desk HQ. Calvert faced a challenge from Democrat Will Rollins, a former federal prosecutor, for California’s 41st Congressional District situated between Los Angeles and San Diego. The district narrowly went for Donald Trump by a point in 2020. The two previously ran against each other in 2022, with Calvert defeating Rollins by close to 5 points last cycle. Calvert is the longest serving House Republican in California, having entered Congress in 1993.

Former NFL head coach Jack Del Rio will resign from his role on the Wisconsin football staff after being arrested early Friday on citations for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Del Rio, who joined the Badgers as a senior advisor in August, allegedly struck a street sign with his vehicle, broke a fence and came to a rest in a yard, according to an incident report from the Madison (Wis.) Police Department. Multiple reports stated officers were directed to the 61-year-old Del Rio by witnesses, which noted the ex-Raiders coach walked away from the area and “showed signs of impairment.”

President-elect Donald Trump selected Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) to serve as his National Security Adviser, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. A source familiar to Breitbart News confirmed the WSJ’s report that Trump had asked Waltz to serve as the National Security Adviser. The agency ordered the recall because the product packaging contained no “Contains Milk” allergy statement. Food & Wine reported that the FDA issued a Class II recall on November 7 for 79,200 pounds of Kirkland Signature Sweet Cream Butter (salted and unsalted).
