President-elect Donald Trump selected Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) to serve as his National Security Adviser, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.
A source familiar to Breitbart News confirmed the WSJ’s report that Trump had asked Waltz to serve as the National Security Adviser. The role, which is appointed by the president, “doesn’t require Senate confirmation,” the WSJ’s report explained.
Waltz, who is a retired Green Beret colonel and Afghanistan War veteran, has represented Florida’s 6th Congressional District since 2019.

Great choice but can we spare members of the house?
Waltz? waltz? Where have I heard that name? Oh yeah, Tampon Tim. I hope no relation.
quick special election in FL, probably within 100 days
“Great choice but can we spare members of the house?”
Unless DeSantis can name his replacement.
That was walz.
Uh oh, he’s taken TWO from the House, Stefanik and Waltz.
Walz.
House has to be via election only. GOP will probably win it but still...we need the votes on day 1.
Tampon Tim is “Walz” without a “t.”
It is Walls and Waltz. (sound wise)
Isn’t 100 days all we have to get things done quickly
Then there’s Admiral Levine.
The contrast could not be more stark.
Why is he doing that?!
Just heard on Jesse Watters that Trump supposedly has picked Marco Rubio for secretary of state well if true this is a shock I thought for sure he would be going with Grenell
He’s my rep, and I won’t and haven’t voted for him. We call him, Mike Waltz, Representative from NATO.
He’s a very dirty fighter, BTW. His goal seems to be funding the MIC. Voted to renew FISA WITHOUT adding in a new a warrant requirement.
MIC and IC rubber stamp.
Jesse Watters just reported that President Trump has named Marco Rubio as Secretary of State
I assume President Trump has better information on the status of the undeclared House races than we do, so he would better know the margin. Plus, I'm sure that he also has a good read on how safe that congressional district would be in case of a special election.
> we need the votes on day 1.
Congress starts before The Inauguration, and they don’t have to officially leave Congress until he officially appoints them. But hey, it’s the Stupid Party™ so I guess we had better cross our fingers.
I’m so very very happy now that Trump is vindicated but it’s still a tough row to hoe.
