The stone ring indicates a multi-national culture thriving in ancient Jerusalem "The figure of a winged man in a distinct Neo-Assyrian style is unique and very rare in the glyphic styles of the late First Temple period," he added. "The influence of the Assyrian Empire, which had conquered the entire region, is clearly evident here." The seal depicts a winged genie in the style of the Neo-Assyrian Empire, which the excavating team argued showed the influence of the empire in the region in the 7th and 8th centuries. The press release said the "figure raises one arm forward, with an...

The DNC uses “lawfare” as its most fundamental strategic tool. Lawfare is the manipulation of the Judiciary, or the courts, in ways that abuse and distort their normal use and purpose, in order to disadvantage an opposing party; to quietly undermine open legislation or the Constitution (for example, concerning the Electoral College); to actually do away with laws that protect civic integrity like voting; or to enact administrative or executive rules that advance any political objective. The recent lawsuit brought by the DNC and the Harris-Walz campaign against the Georgia election commission concerning vote certification is an example. The DNC...

As summer 2024 draws to a close, the U.S. finds itself once again grappling with a surge in COVID-19 infections. This wave has taken many people by surprise, particularly as the country has largely consigned the pandemic to the past. While public life has pretty much returned to pre-pandemic norms — something almost none of us would have believed in the summer of 2020 — the virus itself has not. Mutations of the virus continue to occur, and new variants are emerging, posing ongoing challenges to public health and safety. As we look ahead to the remainder of 2024 and...

TEWKSBURY, Mass. — Wednesday marks the 10th anniversary of Arthur T. Demoulas’ triumphant comeback to lead the Tewksbury-based Market Basket supermarket chain. In June 2014, Arthur T. was fired by a board controlled by Arthur S. Demoulas, his cousin and rival. After being sacked, store workers staged a walkout in support of Arthur T. that lasted six weeks. To protest, hundreds of warehouse workers and drivers refused to deliver fresh produce, leaving shelves depleted. Not only did the workers stick together, but customers soon followed by boycotting the stores in solidarity. Customers began to shop elsewhere because they couldn’t find...

In the grand, chaotic spectacle of global politics, election meddling has become the hit show that no one asked for but everyone is watching. In the grand, chaotic spectacle of global politics, election meddling has become the hit show that no one asked for but everyone is watching. Imagine it: a world where manipulating an election is as easy as hacking your friend's Netflix account (not that I'm suggesting you should). Gone are the days when meddling in foreign elections required the subtle art of bribery, backroom deals, or -- if you were particularly ambitious -- staging a coup. No,...

One of the perpetrators even swung her scooter at the man’s head in what sources said was an unprovoked attack on northbound C line platform. The offenders are believed to be between the...

Robert Kennedy Jr. will remain on the Wisconsin ballot after dropping out of the presidential race and endorsing former President Donald Trump. The decision comes after a Wisconsin Elections Commission vote Tuesday, which commissioners said upholds state law regarding presidential candidates. "Wisconsin law says that once you have submitted nomination papers and qualified to appear on the ballot, you may not decline nomination," WEC Chair Ann Jacobs told News 3 Now in an interview. The only way to prevent Kennedy from appearing on the ballot would have been for him to not have submitted his nomination paperwork. Short of that,...

RFK, Jr. has quickly learned that the Dems of his youth are not the Dems of today. The best way to learn something is to experience it firsthand. For example, a child experiences (learns) a hot stove by touching it. Ouch!! He won’t do that again. It’s the same with tyrannical and authoritarian regimes -- once someone experiences the oppression, dishonesty, deceit, and censorship of a communist, socialist, theocratic, or similar forms of government, they staunchly oppose those governments. Once you experience the full brunt of an authoritarian regime, you never want to experience it again. Decades ago, I learned...

After a year of legal, judicial, and political drama, Special Counsel Jack Smith just filed a superseding indictment to replace the first indictment he handed down against Donald Trump in August 2023 related to the events of January 6 and the former president’s alleged attempts to “overturn” the 2020 election. Trump faces the four same charges—three conspiracy and one obstruction count—but the new version is nine pages shorter as Smith had to follow the presidential immunity guidance set forth by the Supreme Court in the Trump v US opinion published on July 1. The special counsel removed a large swath...

The Florida Governor described the new law as a way of “fighting back against the global elite’s plan to force the world to eat meat grown in a petri dish or bugs to achieve their authoritarian goals.”
