How did the DNC learn to use lawfare?
American Thinker ^ | 28 Aug, 2024 | Matthew G. Andersson

The DNC uses “lawfare” as its most fundamental strategic tool. Lawfare is the manipulation of the Judiciary, or the courts, in ways that abuse and distort their normal use and purpose, in order to disadvantage an opposing party; to quietly undermine open legislation or the Constitution (for example, concerning the Electoral College); to actually do away with laws that protect civic integrity like voting; or to enact administrative or executive rules that advance any political objective. The recent lawsuit brought by the DNC and the Harris-Walz campaign against the Georgia election commission concerning vote certification is an example. The DNC doesn’t want any voters, or their votes, challenged by any rules.

How is the DNC able to carry out systematic lawfare? Because the DNC is effectively a large law firm.

It is not really designed for politics as we assume in a classical sense, involving an open, public activity. It does not function as a political organization, but rather, it operates as its own perpetual private government, whether it holds office or not because government and law have become interchangeable. The DNC’s methods are not open and “inclusive,” but are instead closed and restricted. More than just lobbying, it operates by mimicking or mirroring an irregular intelligence organization by disrupting normal institutional purposes and functions and replacing them with its own backdoor influence or control.

But where does this kind of behavior come from?

It all starts in our university law schools, where law is taught as an enforceable tool used against other groups or interests. It doesn’t just use existing rules, or only legally challenge them, but finds exceptions, or “workarounds,” that break the law, but in a presumed “legal” way. Getting judges to change voting rules by asserting an “emergency” pandemic is an example.

It was normal in the USSR, except in the USSR they also did try to enforce normal public safety.

The government’s three letter agencies effectively have been an arm of the DNC for a half century. They practiced lawfare with Nixon.

The first i saw it being used in the states here is by the CAIR muslims. The democrats adopted the strategy of course given that islam is the militant arm of the democrat party.

Short answer:

Zero. He had 2 terms to set all this up, and it’s working exactly as designed.

We’ve been debating tort reform since the Reagan Administration but even the most obvious improvements never get passed I would expand the author’s assertion and say the entire Federal Government operates a large law firm, with interns, partners, a security team with nuclear weapons, and a code of omerta firmly in place. Mess with The Firm’s interests and you are going to have a rough time. RINOs are just failed conservatives who try to play within The Firm’s rules.

Lately, The Firm seems more like Wolfram & Hart on the early 2000’s Angel TV show - allies and advocates for demons.

Those liberal lawyers and those that would become politicians went to the same schools, had similar indoctrination and similar goals, the move in the same circles, see the same speeches and form similar opinions. When all of these ideas come together, there doesn’t have to be a formal conspiracy they just understand each other.

I remember DNC lawyers throwing out overseas military ballots for Dubya in the 2000 FL recount, and then high fiving one another in the courtroom.

Reagan’s term began with a Democrat investigation and ended when Reagan left office.
Billy Clinton fired 100 federal attorneys to hide the fact that one was investigating him for campaign finance violations.
It’s no wonder the Democrat just violate our laws.
Al Gore knew there was no controlling legal authority to stop him

Nixon, that’s the 1st experience I had of lawfare. We did not call it that since the actions were so new and covered up for years, but that appears to be the start!

Lawyers engaging in vexatious litigation, practices that have existed in other places as long as long as legal systems have existed.

Recently Marxist show trials raised it to an art form. (NYT and reporter Duranty covering Stalinist Show trials.) Show trials are part and parcel of Leftist Theatre agitation propaganda. (Agit Prop..An enterprise set up by the Central Committee of the Soviet Communist Party in 1920 intended to control and promote the ideological conditioning of the masses. Art and Posters are what is usually considered agit-prop. (Bad art makes some of the the best propaganda....Orwell)).

In schema of Dantean circles of hell, there is a circle of boiling pitch reserved for corrupt politicians and barrators.

Good question.

I don’t recall reading about this specific approach in any leftist book (in the 1960s for example).

Perhaps someone here has a reference to a specific text.

How? That’s easy. Ninety eight percent of this country’s lawyers are Rat Party supporters...as are one hundred percent of law school professors.
