It was normal in the USSR, except in the USSR they also did try to enforce normal public safety.

The government’s three letter agencies effectively have been an arm of the DNC for a half century. They practiced lawfare with Nixon.

Short answer:

Zero. He had 2 terms to set all this up, and it’s working exactly as designed.

We’ve been debating tort reform since the Reagan Administration but even the most obvious improvements never get passed I would expand the author’s assertion and say the entire Federal Government operates a large law firm, with interns, partners, a security team with nuclear weapons, and a code of omerta firmly in place. Mess with The Firm’s interests and you are going to have a rough time. RINOs are just failed conservatives who try to play within The Firm’s rules.

Lately, The Firm seems more like Wolfram & Hart on the early 2000’s Angel TV show - allies and advocates for demons.

Those liberal lawyers and those that would become politicians went to the same schools, had similar indoctrination and similar goals, the move in the same circles, see the same speeches and form similar opinions. When all of these ideas come together, there doesn’t have to be a formal conspiracy they just understand each other.

I remember DNC lawyers throwing out overseas military ballots for Dubya in the 2000 FL recount, and then high fiving one another in the courtroom.

Reagan’s term began with a Democrat investigation and ended when Reagan left office.
Billy Clinton fired 100 federal attorneys to hide the fact that one was investigating him for campaign finance violations.
It’s no wonder the Democrat just violate our laws.
Al Gore knew there was no controlling legal authority to stop him

Good question.

I don’t recall reading about this specific approach in any leftist book (in the 1960s for example).

Perhaps someone here has a reference to a specific text.

How? That’s easy. Ninety eight percent of this country’s lawyers are Rat Party supporters...as are one hundred percent of law school professors.

Rose Law Firm alumni Hillary Rodham Clinton.

She tried to use lawfare against Nixon during Watergate, but she was so foul the lead investigator threw her off the team.

Lawfare is a hybrid word created from warfare and law. In other places like Columbia and Mexico, lawfare activities included such lawyers and judges experiencing the warfare side of the root word.

It’s fun when it’s going your way. But if society went sideways, I wouldn’t want to B be a lawfare type.

This makes the law school fundamentally a government school. More than that, it saturates the law in the assumptions, expectations, ambitions, and conceits of a single state authority.

What percentage of Congress are lawyers?
Answer: Currently 43%

Among them are all virtually all of the leadership and most likely most of the committee chairs:

Senate Majority Leader Upchuck Schumer: J.D., Harvard, 1974
Senate Minority Leader Turtle McConnell: J.D., University of Kentucky, 1967
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson: J.D., Louisiana State University, 1998
House Majority Whip Tom Emmer: J.D., William Mitchell College of Law, 1988
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries: J.D., New York University, 1997
House Minority Whip Katherine Clark: J.D., Cornell Law School

There is but ONE exception - House Majority Leader Steve Scalise

And add to that our recent executive branch leaders:

Joseph Biden: J.D., Syracuse University, 1968
Kamala Harris: J.D., University of California School of Law
Barak Obama: J.D. (allegedly), Harvard Law School, 1992
Shrillary Clinton: J.D., Yale, 1973
BJ Bill Clinton: J.D., Yale, 1973

Our government is absolutely infested and overrun with lawyers. Is it any wonder that it is utterly corrupt, self-serving, and despicable? Prohibiting lawyers from running for office or serving in government would likely do wonders.

By the way, and not surprisingly, Trump is NOT a lawyer. Neither were Ronald Reagan or John F. Kennedy.

It started way back in the sixties or before. When some of us were sweating like dogs in Southeast Asia, these jerks were getting student deferments and going to law schools.

Now,, you see the result in real time.

How did the DNC learn to use lawfare?

Biden has been consorting with dictators for over 50 years as he picked up his payoffs, so they've given him a few tips.
