Why it matters: Biden's performance at the debate has left many of his own aides worried about his mental fitness, and angry about what they see as a lack of candor from Biden's senior aides. "It's the first topic of every conversation," one White House official said. "Senior leadership has given us nothing. To act like it's business as usual is delusional." Another official put it more bluntly: "Everyone is freaking the f*** out." "The uncertainty after Thursday is palpable and anxiety is only increasing," a third White House official told Axios. "People are looking for leadership and direction that...

During a June 22 speech to the Faith and Freedom Coalition, former President Donald Trump said that if elected to the presidency again, he would pardon the pro-life activists currently serving jail time for a sit-in style protest at an infamous late abortion facility in Washington, D.C. As reported by the Catholic News Agency, during his speech, Trump specifically mentioned one of the activists, 75-year-old Paulette Harlow, who was sentenced to 24 months in prison for conspiracy to violate civil rights and violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Harlow had been on house arrest due...

With the ideological left’s attempt to erase women, whether through sports, attempting to add “birthing people” in our laws, or denying natural distinctions between men and women, we are grateful Governor Youngkin is doing the opposite. The Governor vetoed a bill (HB 781, D-Herring) this year intended to initiate a task force to evaluate maternal health in Virginia but ridiculously replaced “mothers” with “birthing people.” Last week Governor Youngkin issued Executive Order 32 to reestablish the Task Force on Maternal Health Data and Quality Measures, and he did it without including contraceptive mandates or woke language such as “birthing people”....

Rep. Nancy Pelosi speaks to MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell about the presidential election. "This is not a normal election where you want to win and if you don't, you cooperate and do the best you can for the country and hope to win the next time. This is something that is undermining our democracy. He must be stopped. He cannot be president!" Pelosi said about former President Trump. Video at link

The Biden administration keeps telling the economy is great -- the best ever, Jack! -- and we're just not looking in the right places to see it. The problem is, Americans are looking in the right places -- gas, groceries, mortgages -- while the political class has decided to ignore those very big things. And here's another big of bad news for Bidenomics: Salaries have fallen by an average of 8.2% in the last five years, per Moneywise. Despite this, house prices have risen by an average of 56% in the last 5 years. — unusual_whales (@unusual_whales) July 1, 2024...

Calling it “the greatest mismatch in the history of Presidential debates,” U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson declares Donald Trump the winner of Thursday’s faceoff and says “November cannot get here soon enough.” Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo joins THIS WEEK to warn that President Biden is “living in a fantasyland” if he thinks he can blame Donald Trump for what’s unfolding in Ukraine. Host Tony Perkins rallies audience members to support the Right to Life at next month’s RNC in Milwaukee. And Speaker Johnson adds his perspective on how America’s enemies like Iran and China are viewing Joe Biden’s...

Now let’s get to it. For background, Chief Justice John Roberts, in writing for the majority, answered the following question: “Whether and if so to what extent does a former President enjoy presidential immunity from criminal prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office.” The Court provided three answers based on the classifications of the President’s conduct: A President has absolute immunity when he exercises his core constitutional powers: “Congress may not criminalize the President’s conduct in carrying out the responsibilities of the Executive Branch under the Constitution.” A President has presumptive immunity from criminal...

A Haitian migrant charged with the rape of a 15-year-old girl at a Massachusetts hotel was released on $500 bail last week despite ongoing requests by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to transfer him to its custody. Cory Alvarez, a 26-year-old Haitian national who was allowed into the U.S. via a controversial parole program that allows up to 30,000 migrants to fly in each month, was charged with aggravated rape of a child in March. ...

Bob's Stores, which sells athletic and casual clothing across six states, is shutting all its stores. It began 'Going Out Of Business' sales on Friday, with customers able to pick up goods with 30 to 70 percent off at the 21 stores. The website no longer works. Shoppers will find reduced prices on leading national brands like Nike across the stores. Select shop fixtures, furniture, and equipment like TVs and registers will also be on sale. But then the 40-year-old chain - which operated in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island - will be gone...

A year ago at this time, Eugene Robinson embarrassed himself. Pushing back at suggestions that Biden was badly showing his age, we caught the Washington Post columnist and MSNBC analyst claiming that Biden is not merely sharp, but "sharp as a tack."But the truth has finally caught up with Robinson. Biden's disastrous debate performance left him and other members of the liberal media with no place to hide. And so, on today's Morning Joe, Robinson sang a very different tune: "I have been coming on this show for a long time. I am a long-time critic of Democratic bedwetting. I...

President Trump should let the odious reptiles ruling the U.K. Know exactly where he stands by nominating dissident and ofttimes political prisoner Tommy Robinson as his ambassador to the U.K. This action woukd show respect and recognition to the citizens of the U.K. who are being colonized and impoverished by the communist government in London and let the politicians and establishment of the U.K. that the fundamental relationship needs repairing. Furthermore, Trump should grant Tommy Robinson citizenship.

An FBI supervisor is blowing the whistle on his own organization, alleging to the Justice Department's chief watchdog and Congress that the bureau has been improperly suspending or revoking the security clearances of agents it believes hold conservative political views. The new whistleblower's allegations surfaced Tuesday in correspondence obtained by "Just the News" that was sent to the House and Senate Judiciary committees and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, dramatically claiming that as a supervisory special agent he witnessed efforts by senior FBI brass to target employees who supported Donald Trump or opposed COVID-19 vaccines."If an FBI employee fit a certain...

Biden's mental state is perfectly fine. The entire debate was a "cheap fake" created by "right wing conspiracy theorists." The claim that he is not 100% mentally sound is nothing but "fake news."

There’s no shortage of divisive foods in the world, but for many people, there seems to be a special kind of derision reserved especially for one particular condiment: Mayo. Some people really hate mayonnaise. And it isn’t just always just simple dislike; among the anti-mayo crowd, there’s a contingent who are vehemently opposed to the stuff. Feelings can run so strongly that it might lead you to wonder exactly why so many people hate mayonnaise so much — but perhaps not unexpectedly, there isn’t just one explanation for the strength of feeling so many share about mayo. It might come...

"Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." "Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of...

With all the back and forth about replacing Biden, no one seems to be talking about ballot access and how they would address it - if Biden was replaced. As of now a few states have closed the window on adding a new name to the ballot. The deadlines have passed. By the time the DNC rolls around - most states will have had their deadlines pass. Which means Joe Biden's name will remain. in some cases, even in death. So, wouldn't you think this is a major issue? No one is talking about it through.

Many are asking, “Who’s really running the White House? Who’s in charge?” While it’s a complex question with likely many layers—including a potential top spot for Barry Obama—the day-to-day operations seem to be under the control of Jill Biden. While she’s portrayed as a simple “school principal,” she’s now seemingly playing “president,” while her incapacitated husband licks ice cream cones and wanders aimlessly. And now, a very telling line in Jill’s recent Vogue interview says it all, giving us a peek behind that “magic” Biden curtain. However, we can go farther back to see Jill’s “magical touch” in the United...

Earlier today there was a story that my governor, Tim Walz, has been talking to other governors who are deeply concerned about Biden's debate performance. The consensus was that nothing would calm the waters save, perhaps, a meeting with the president to discuss the path forward. Replacing rest of this thread with the story we wrote on the topic, since story is developing: https://t.co/XSLqiNKsgC— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) July 2, 2024WashingtonCNN—Some Democratic governors are seeking a meeting with the White House to discuss their concerns about President Joe Biden in the aftermath of his poor debate performance, multiple sources with knowledge...

President Joe Biden delivered an address from the White House last night on the presidential immunity decision by the Supreme Court. While pledging that he will defend the rule of law, President Biden misrepresented what that law is in the aftermath of Trump v. United States. While we have often discussed false constitutional claims by the President as well as other false statements, an address of this kind is particularly concerning in misleading citizens on the meaning of one of the most important decisions in history. As I have previously written, I am not someone who has favored expansive presidential powers. As...
